Hayden was just pulling a soda out of the fridge when he heard Peter, looking over at him. "Oi, you want to buy the rest of the store while you're at it?" he snickered while staring at the basket.

"Shut up," was his snapped reply as he stood beside his lover. "Now hurry up. The paint's beginning to chip already." He tucked a hand in his back pocket, his pose at the moment looking less like a beleaguered artist and more like a Greek statue.

"Yeah, yeah." he nodded, but stayed where he was. He stood there facing Peter for a moment. Then, out of nowhere, he grabbed Peter's basket and swiped it from him, hurrying to the counter to set that and his own items down. "All together." he told the cashier before the artist could try to reclaim them.

"Hey!" he shouted, chasing after Hayden. "I'm not paying for your crap, you a-s!" Standing beside him, Peter tried to separate their items, but to no avail. The cashier was already almost done.

"Course you're not." Hayden snorted while rummaging through his wallet while at the same time bumping Peter away with his hip. Looking over at the artist, he smiled and pulled out his credit card and said as he handed it to the cashier, "I am."

Peter stood still, as if struggling to figure what was happening before him. After a moment, he finally spoke, reaching for Hayden's shoulder, although his grip wasn't forceful like it usually was. "You don't have to do that," he said, eyes staring intently at the vampire. "I can buy my own stuff."

"I don't have to, yeah," he shrugged. "But that's what boyfriend's do, right?" He smiled as he took his credit card back and slid it back into his wallet before handing the bag of food to Peter.

"... Quit making me love you," he growled, taking the bag and starting for the door. Even he was amazed by how grumpy he was by the show of love.

After a few minutes of constantly looking over his shoulder, Yasu settled for walking by Jupiter's side. She carried herself well and, true to her word, seemed to be able to dodge obstacles and take turns easily. If he didn't know better, Yasu would've thought she could see fine, just didn't want to look at people like most students here.
Finally, Yasu walked through the automatically opening doors and sighed in relief as a wave of air conditioning hit him. "Here we are." he said and turned back to her, hands in his pockets. "It's not very popular; but there are tons of these back in Japan, and I love 'em. You got anything you wanna eat, they've got it. Anyway, something you craving?" he asked as he searched for the junk food.

Jupiter's eyes widened a bit at his answer. She had totally forgotten about the holidays. It wasn't really something she liked to remember. She was normally alone all the time so she just went through life day by day, learning and listening to music. Just doing normal everyday life. ah so he doesn't have anything to do either. Her smile had come back as she nodded a bit excited that one he would take her somewhere and two that she could talk to him more. When yasu told her to try and follow him she was able to keep up pretty well. Focusing solely on the sound of his walking. Most people don't know but they all sound different in the way they walk and such.

Though, it was a bit harder as they walked in slightly crowded areas. She didn't talk, she enjoyed silence as well but was thankful when he came and walked by her. By following the sounds of his steps she was able to dodge things she did not know was there because she heard him move just a bit as well as was able to hear others walking by. She really was like a bat in a way.

It seemed that they finally arrived at the place and she felt the cool air as they walked in. Humming she smiled as she listened to him, his voice didn't sound as gruff and it gave off a purplish circle image. She was sure she would see other images as well. She always wondered what they meant. Did it reflect the person? "Yasu, would you mind describing the place? What is the name? Ah I mean if you want you don't have to. Oh and don't forget I'm paying so don't worry about the price.~ I'm kinda craving sweets. I have a bit of a sweet tooth." Jupiter paused for a moment and let out a light charming laugh before continuing. "But I'm also kinda hungry so pizza? I haven't had that in a while." she had spoke a bit softly, but she was curious. This was an area yasu loved and according to Jupiter, love was a strong word so it must be somewhere amazing.

"Huh? Oh, uh, sure. This is 7-11. It's like a grocery store only smaller. It's a lot smaller than the ones in Japan, but they've got already cooked food here, so that's pretty cool, I guess." He turned to look at the few racks. A couple were empty, but some had fried food waiting to be picked up: corn dogs, burritos, burgers- "Oh hey, they've got some pizza here." Yasu said. "Which kind you want? Pepperoni? Sausage?"

Jupiter turned to where she assumed the male was and started giggling a bit. 7/11? Why does that sound so familiar. It doesn't sound super fancy but if he likes it this much it must be interesting. Jupiter was glad he explained what the place looked like. She could imagine it in her head now. Where they were at and the area around. As he continued speaking, she grew excited when he said they had pizza. "Thank you...U-uhm...do they have stuffed crust? I like Pepperoni...Ah do you like any sweets? What are you getting to eat?" She smiled and reached into her dress pocket, pulling out a change person before opening it and feeling around. She then pulled out a little envelope and opened it, pulling out a 20 dollar bill. "Will this be enough? She only knew how much was in it because the envelope had braille on it with the amount she had in each envelope.

Yasu checked against as he got a plate of Pepperoni. "No, they don't have any of that." he said, a bit disappointed himself. He got a few candy bars, mainly for Jupiter's sake, and after getting a couple burritos and drinks, set them on the counter. He looked down at the twenty he was handed for a while, then, with a scowl, gently pushed her hand away. "It's fine, I'll cover it." he said and handed the cashier his card. He wasn't necessarily sure why he was doing this when he came for the free food. Who knows? The idea of making someone blind pay for his food... It felt like a jerk move, even if she kept insisting.
Once they were done paying, Yasu lead Jupiter outside and plopped down on the curve. "I usually like eating on the sidewalk. Never cared much about what everyone else thought about it, but all of my friends think it's gross." he grumbled the last part with a hint of irritation in his voice. Privileged jerks. The drummer waited for the girl to sit down before handing her her food.

Jupiter could feel herself pout in the slightest when he said they didn’t have any of that. However she brightened up again. ”Well at least they have pizza though right”~ Healthy Smealthy…I don’t have to be healthy alllll the time. Jupiter knew she was supposed to be careful. She got sick easily. But she was out somewhere for once and was having fun so it was fine. She giggled a bit, though was slightly confused as he pushed her hand away and said he would cover it. Well when he does that it acts more of a date…silly…I wonder what he is thinking. I offered. With a shrug she put the money back in her purse and smiled brightly at him. ”Well okay…but I get next time okay? That or I’ll make something for you. I have to thank you for being kind somehow~” She didn’t want to seem like a mooch or anything of the sort, but she also felt like this was something friends did. A lot was going through her mind, but she was happy.

Once Yasu was done paying, she followed him back outside. Tilting her head at what he said, before laughing. Gross? It’s being outside…Would ken be one of those friends? I wonder why they think that. She then spoke softly as she gave a smile, managing to sit next to him and taking the food. ”I don’t see why they think it’s gross. When I was on the streets I would always imagine it as being on a picnic. Though often during the night. I would imagine the many stars twinkling in the sky, the moon shining brightly down while I ate. Then of course being able to tell where certain constellations are….” She paused for a moment and laughed, ”Ah…sorry~ I started rambling there. Basically I like the outdoors. Anywhere where I can imagine things better actually. Do you think that’s weird?” She gave a soft shrug and smiled, taking the pizza on the plate after feeling where it was and taking a bite. She hoped none of the sauce would get on her face. That would be embarrassing.

"Whatever, sure. Next time you can buy as much as you want." snickered Yasu between bites. This was what he loved about America. All the greasy food and snacks galore! If you wanted something from across the world then all you needed was to walk five feet to the next store!
He wiped his mouth on his forearm and drank from his fountain drink when Jupiter talked about the streets. When she was on the streets? Did she have a hard life? Was that why she was so optimistic? Hearing all that, he could see her in a new light. "Nah, it's not weird." he answered, arms on his knees. "The people I hang out with, most of 'em come from rich families, y'know? They know all about prim and proper, so a lot of things I do are things they consider low class sh-t. It's dumb. But I get what you're saying. I like the outdoors, too. There's always so much to do, y'know?" He was quiet for a minute, eating more of his food, before deciding to ask, "So... What did you mean by when you were on the streets?"
