He slowly set his hand on top of the one on his chest, fingers curling around the slender hand and squeezing gently. "Let it hurt," whispered Leon. "I want to feel my last moments with you." He brought Nikolai's hand to his mouth, cracked lips kissing the back of it before whispering again. "Nikolai, you must forgive the Council for not stopping this. You know their rules." He paused to couch.

Feeling tears warm his eyes, Nikolai looked away. "Honestly, to ask me such a thing..." he laughed bitterly. "Why can't you be angry for once? Even in death?" he joked through his tears.

"Because being angry won't make me better," he answered, his eyes never leaving Nikolai. "It won't make this any easier. You need to be strong, Nikolai. For Aysun. He needs you." he urged.

Nikolai couldn't meet Leon's eyes, choosing to close his instead and let the tears fall. He sniffed and leaned over to press his forehead against Leon's. "I tried so hard." he whispered, trying hard to keep his voice steady. "Why does Fate keep ripping us apart?"

He smiled, albeit sadly. "Because she's jealous," was his answer, struggling to keep his eyes open and afraid that if he closed them, they wouldn't open again. "Wouldn't you be? This universe is billions of years old, and we somehow found each other and fell in love. What we have, Nikolai, is stronger than any tie Fate can construe on her own. Our love transcends time and death." He raised his hands to touch Nikolai's cheek softly. "I will walk with you until the end of time, Nikolai. Even if you can't see me, you will never be alone." He finally closed his eyes, unable to keep them open any longer.
"I waited my whole life to fall in love with you, Nikolai. I have faith that we will meet again. Trust in me and our love, Nikolai. Trust that it will reunite us." Before he could raise his lips to kiss his husband's for the last time, Leon fell limp, the beeping machine beside them falling a flat-line. He was gone.

Everything seemed to slow down then. Nikolai numbly sat in one of the chairs of the room, watching doctors run in to check on Leon, watching Aysun cry and wail against him, watching the doctor from earlier give him a pitiful look as he called the time of death. He stayed in the room for one hour. Two. Three. Someone had just died here from cancer, they'd need at least twelve hours to make sure it was ready for another patient. Besides, no one wanted to talk to the now empty man and his poor son. Speaking of which, Aysun was beginning to worry. He tugged at Nikolai's sleeve repeatedly, calling his name. The Sin didn't respond. How could he? They were all each other had now, and what did that even mean? Nikolai didn't know a single thing about being a father, and Aysun was still too young to do so much. What would happen now?

After what seemed like ages, Nikolai found himself gazing at his phone. It was ringing and vibrating furiously in his numb hand. He didn't recognize this number. Was it Atticus? Nikolai slowly swiped the accept button and pressed the phone to his ear, saying nothing.
"Mr. Byko." This voice was familiar. So serious. So grim. "It's me, Shiloh Dupree. I've been ordered to tell you how Mr. Court died." Nikolai replied with silence, though something glimmered in his eyes. "... It was me. I took Councilman Lanette's dagger and cut Mr. Court with it so he could develop those illnesses. I was ordered to by the Council itself." There was silence for a moment then the click of the phone hanging up. Nikolai was left to his thoughts and the curious gaze of Aysun. Shiloh Dupree, the obedient sineater. Was he telling the truth? Was he the real killer? Whether he was, one thing was for certain: the Council was involved.
Finally, Nikolai climbed up from his chair. He was strangely calm, so calm that he was unnerving Aysun, whom he still hadn't looked at. "U-Uncle Nikki...?" whimpered the boy. Nikolai finally looked down at him, giving him not a frightening look, but a gentle smile. "It'll be okay, dearie. I need to take care of a few things, so I'll send you home, okay? Someone will be there to take care of you, okay?" he asked as he gently pat the boy's head. Yes, he could already feel Atticus's presence back home. He smiled softly at Aysun's uncertainty and let the purple fog swallow him up, shooting him through town.
Left alone, Nikolai let his walls crumble. It started with a grin, a twisted smile that let a giggle escape here and there. Before he knew it, his giggling fit evolved into an insane laugh, then to psychotic shrills. He put a hand over his face as he laughed at his situation. To think, even after he warned them not to interfere the Council would dare mess with him again, and by killing Leon! What a world!
Doctors began coming in, wondering what was happening. Seeing the crazed man, they tried to take a hold of him and see how he was. It was that touch that sent Nikolai over the edge. One wide, crazed green eye rolled to look at the nearest doctor, making her flinch. Two purple snakes wrapped around the Sin's body, slithering and hissing until they exploded into bursts of purple electricity. Standing in Nikolai's spot was the same man, only in his Full-Sin form. He radiated power, making the doctors take a step back in hesitation.
"Oh how lucky you all are to not be one of them." he sighed giddily. Before any of them could register what had happened, Nikolai vanished in the blink of an eye.

Meanwhile, the skies had darkened. What was meant to be a sunny day had suddenly turned ominous as thunderous, dark clouds swallowed the sun. Even the overworlds were no longer normal. A purple vortex swallowed the clouds up in Heaven like a whirlpool, and an enormous pentagram glowed over Hell like some sinister spotlight.
From his spot in Hell, Arthur closed the phone, his bandages wrapping around his mouth once more. He looked over at the enormous pentagram. With this he'd witness the full power of a Sin.

"Woooow, you guys sure have interesting dates!" beamed Cameron from the front of the hospital room. He was the first to come when Cecil called, unsure of why, but he liked the people he'd be working with and thought this would be a much better way to entertain himself. Besides, since it was a hospital he might run into Liam~
Cameron glanced to the door, remembering the state of the poor kid inside, then looked back, though his cheeky grin was aimed at Sawyer. "Man, first you're sleeping with people that look like kids, and now-"
Fredrich bopped Cameron at the top of his head before he could finish his comment. "This isn't part of their date, Cameron," he corrected with a sharp glare. "Not everyone's a freak like you."
Cecil walked over to them while buttoning up the last of his uniform. He wasn't sure what Fredrich meant by Cameron being a freak, and he was more than sure that he didn't want to know. "Thanks for helping last minute," he said with a grateful smile.
"No problem! It's not everyday we get to possibly get killed by a mob boss, right, Freddy?" Cameron asked while elbowing the detective and smiling knowingly at him.
Fredrich merely tossed the man a glance before looking down at Cecil. "I only agreed because someone needs to protect this group. This isn't smart, and you know that. You shouldn't risk numerous people's lives over just one." he scolded, causing the chief to look away in shame.

"It was my idea," said Sawyer, pushing past the two to walk inside. He moved to Micah's side, touching the sleeping man's hand gently and shaking his head. "I should kill him for what he's done to you." Sawyer whispered, reaching his hand to brush hair from Micah's beautiful face. Who would do such a thing to such a delicate, fragile person? He was sick enough. This was unprecedented.
Sawyer walked back out of the room, looking at the police officers. "Who wants to take first watch?" he asked, sticking his hand into the back pocket of his blue jeans.

"We've already worked out a schedule, just the two of us." Fredrich said while looking down at the couple that called them over, his dark blue eyes icy. "There's obviously some kind of emotional attachment causing you to think like this, so you'll only hinder everything. The fact that we're here means you already have." he told Sawyer. "You're restless, you'll watch even when you're not trying to and then you'll be too weak when the time for action calls. And you're too distracted to pay attention." he told Cecil.
"We do watches a lot, so we'll be fine." Cameron said, trying to brighten the area that was brought down by Fredrich's negativity. Fredrich never liked being called in on short notice.

Although he didn't want to admit it, Sawyer knew Fredrich was right. He was way too involved. Sighing, he glanced back inside before nodding. "Fine. Just make sure no one hurts him, okay? It's going to take long enough for him to heal, I don't want it getting worse." He exhaled through his nose, then looked back to Cecil. "Come on, let's get Parker somewhere safe. I don't want him anywhere near where this man might be able to get to him."

It had been several hours since Sawyer and Cecil left. Fredrich finished his shift of the watch and left to go home to get food and talk to Ellery about this (or more rant). Cameron hummed a tune to himself while texting Liam, asking for n***s - Whether they were from him or a dead patient was fine. He wasn't concerned about this whole affair. If he got shot down then he'd get a neat thrill, that's all. There was no threat on his life.
He blinked when he heard a ruckus nearby and looked over to see a thin man in a doctor's outfit dash towards him. "P-Please!" he cried out while grabbing Cameron's shift. "Th-There's someone causing havoc nearby! We need your help!"
Cameron blinked. Was that whoever was hunting Micah? He agreed to help the doctor, following after him while dialing Fredrich's number.

With the door left uncovered Nobutaka was able to walk in leisurely. Kaito nodded at him and stood in front of the door as the boss walked to the end of Micah's bed, standing over him with an uncaring look.
"You oughta be thankful I haven't gunned down your cop friends," he muttered, his glare icy.

Micah was sitting up against his pillows, the bed bent upwards since he was too weak to sit up on his own. Beside the bed was a machine connected to a tube that went up for this chest, pumping the treatment into his body. On his hand was an IV, keeping him hydrated while also giving him a little morphine to combat the pain from his beating. He wasn't surprised when Nobutaka walked in, only disappointed in how long it took for him to get there.
"Oh, how will I ever repay you for such a kindness?" he replied mockingly, his fingers curled tightly around the little panic button that called for the nurse. "Get out, Deguichi. Haven't you done enough?" Micah's tone was just as icy as Nobutaka's glare. At this point, he wasn't even afraid of death anymore. There was nothing the man could do to him now.

"Apparently not if you ran to the cops," Nobutaka sneered. He noticed the hand hovering over the button, but he didn't care. Kaito would just shoot them if they got too close or asked too many questions. Nobutaka took a good look at Micah. All the wounds were inflamed and covered almost every inch of his body. They looked bad against the porcelain skin, and for a second even the mobster thought he went too far. His eyes went to Micah's face, seeing the unafraid glare that was shrouded with determination and fierceness. Despite the hatred aimed at him, Nobutaka couldn't help but smirk. Attitude even with death staring him in the face. Now he remembered why he picked the doll up when they first met.
"Your treatment ends later, right? Around nine?" he asked as he looked towards the door. His eye flickered to Micah. "I'll pick you up, so you'd better focus on getting better." He hesitated then turned and walked off, Kaito following him.

Micah pushed himself further up, arms trembling as he glared out the door where Nobutaka walked. "You did this to me, you beat me within an inch of my life, and you think I'm going anywhere with you? I guess I should expect that, since you can't even apologize for what you did." He leaned back, clenching his fists and he looked out the window. "I'm dying anyway. I don't want to spend my last moments on this horrible Earth being beaten to a pulp by a man like you."
He pushed the button. The nurses' station lit up like a Christmas tree, and the nurse in charge immediately sent a message to Sawyer and called out for the two men who were supposed to be guarding him.

Cameron and Fredrich had reached the door by the time the alarm had been rang. They glanced at each other then hurried in, surprised to see only Micah there.
"What happened? Did Deguichi show up?" Fredrich asked as he looked around. Nothing looked damaged, and he didn't see any mobsters on his way here...
