Captain's Quarters

Kyoko sat down on his bed. "Really? I recall that you were fine a few minutes ago. Or was that just some fake act? Like this one?"

"A few minutes ago was before you slapped me." He shifted on the bed so that he could face her better. "Besides, why would I want to hurry back to sleep if you'll be gone when I wake up this time?"

Kyoko sighed. "Because. I have to go, Thorn. Otherwise, I'll be in trouble. And you know that head captain Arisa won't like it one bit if a hollow attacks and I'm not there." She let out a short gasp and stood up. "I have to go. There's a hollow in Karakura town." She leaned over and kissed him. "I love you... See you later." She disappeared.

Thorn barely had time to kiss her back before she vanished, one of these days he was going to figure out how to order her not to do that... No, he couldn't order her to change the way she is, but he had to find a way to keep her out of trouble, she was much more likely to get herself killed than he was, no matter what she says about his drinking...

Kyoko shunpoed inside Thorn's quarters, waiting for him to get there. She sat down on his bed and threw her zanpakuto against the wall for no reason. It clattered to the floor.

*A shadow danced behind her, an ominous reiatsu began to seep into the room.*

Kyoko sighed. "Kaniedie, if you're trying to scare me, it's not going to work."  

[Mistress of Monsters]

"Ha ha ha, I wasn't trying to scare you at all" *Kaniedie stepped out from somewhere on the wall and walked over to her.*

Kyoko stared up at Kaniedie. "You'd better not try anything."  

[Mistress of Monsters]

"Whatever could you mean by that?" *Kaniedie smiled at her mischievously.*

"You know full well what I mean." Kyoko said quietly.  

[Mistress of Monsters]

"Do I?" *Kaniedie secretly reached for something behind her back.*

Kyoko looked down, letting a bit of her reiatsu seep out.  

[Mistress of Monsters]

*Kaniedie drew a silver zanpakuto, aiming a blow to Kyoko's side.*

Kyoko flashstepped out of the way just in time to avoid the blow. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" She released all of her spiritual pressure, making the ground shake.
