General Disscussion of World Religions.

I've always enjoyed learning about other religions, and am curious to know more about all of them. So my question is about them.

Will you tell me about yours, and your personal idea's about it? [And I do mean other then this Etern buisness ;D] If it is a common one, why not discuss some uncommonly known things about it? Like what does the little hat circle thing that goes on male's heads in Judaism for? Or why is there always that person sitting cross-legged in the picture with the colored circles on their body and what religion is that for anyway?

I'm an easy-going Christian. My idea's of it change as I learn more about other religions and the world around me. IE, I don't think God would send people to Hell for just not believing, what about the people who have never even heard about Him? I believe God will accept them into Heaven if they've lead good lives. 3nodding Though there are few who agree with me.

I'm a deist. Deism is basically that one believes that there is a higher power, just not the higher powers we all know (i.e. God, Allah). We also believe that this higher power will keep our souls in the afterlife (whatever that may be) and that we live as morally as possible.

Jaxcam: Like, what kind of magic? The kind where it's all "Draw a pentagram and light one candle for each of the elements..." kind of stuff, or the one where it's more "Chant this at the time of the full moon...." Or what?

Sir Fancypants: How would this Higher Power keep your souls? In a bottle, or as if you were people and you could walk around in wherever it is you go?
And what standards of morals do the majority of Deists' live by? I know of a few different sets of rules.... ?

All kinds. Some need to channel it through objects, some need the symbols, some need a book to recite from, some just think about it and it happens, and some use combinations of any magics.

We all got souls that survive death, but since no one's really died and come back to life (except J.C., I suppose), we're not sure. As for morals, we all are to try to generally not act like jerks. You could probably say that our morals could be like your morals, I guess.

I'm Athiest. I don't believe in a god or souls. I believe in Evolution and the science that supports it.

I personally do not belong to any religion, but I'm always open to learning something new about other religions.

i see each religion as a fragment of the whole truth, each one has good and bad points

buddism - reincarnation half good bad i mean yea the idea of comeing back in the next life is great and all but without our memorys arent we gonna relive all our mistakes in the next one?, seeing budda as a god when he said not to -bad

any 1 god cristian type religion.- the book has been edited, revised not just translated, since roman times for politiacal gain. just admit it, quit being hypocrites and admit that evil has no bounds.

any other has good points, multi god ones show a conflict of nature.but the concept that god human traits or have easil exploitable egos or bias is sheer ignorance.

Sorry but just no, you don't know half of what witch craft is, you use a twisted thing that is nothing but a pure mockery of actual witch craft that was started in the 1950's,

Real magic is using the power of your Mind and body which is contained in the Chakra's.

The only way you can actually use Magic, everything else is a mockery, see wiccan magic bowers energy from the earth which in turn does exactly the opposite of what the Wiccans claim they want for the earth (I.E. it damages it).

If you wiccan's want to say you use witch craft or magic make up another word, don't steal it from people who know WTF they're doing and claim it as your own.
