[ Daniel ~ Atlantis ~ Outside Throne Room]

Daniel was roughly one hundred feet away attempting to gauge everyone's intentions when Ajora exploded, right in the middle of the group too. Even at a distance the force stopped him in his tracks, even causing him to slide back as he threw his arms up to cover his face.

"Black Hole"

Above, the Demon began summoning something, and the thought of a black hole was not a pleasant one. The glyph was huge. Daniel crouched low without thinking, like a rabbit cowering and making himself a smaller target to a hawk. The magic glyph whirred and locked into place causing a chain reaction of what seemed to be dark lightning, followed by an ever growing... nothing.

All light was consumed. Daniel's skin burned, and yet he felt terrifyingly cold. He cursed quietly and dropped to one knee, patting the ground to make sure he was still there.

Daniel's heart was throbbing, and he could hear the blood rushing through his skull. Fear was overtaking him quickly, but he took the reins and instead used it to fuel his anger.

This is nuts. I'm getting really tired of his bullshit.

Zodiark didn't respond.

Daniel didn't wait for his summon to speak or for his vision to return. He immediately summoned his "weapon".

In the darkness Daniel shoved a blade deep into the streets surface. When the darkness receded, and if anyone was paying attention they would only be able to see a long flat piece of wood protruding out of the ground, not easily distinguishable as the hilt (mostly because of the hilt's unusual size). For most it would simply pass as debris in this hectic situation. Even more peculiar-- A deep, dark red liquid spread out from the center where the wood met rock, which might at first glance be mistaken for Darkness or shadows. However this liquid has no elemental affinity.

On the other hand, the Turk was standing now, drawing on his standard issue baton.

When the Darkness cleared Ajora was balancing on his staff. Daniel dashed towards the battle once more, and then the Demon assaulted the group again, throwing the guy with air magic at the Witch. And then, like that Ajora was in a million places at once. The Turk froze, then dodged an incoming phantom, then another.

Are you F*&#xki;ng kidding me?!

His eyes were darting, trying his hardest to gauge where Ajora really was. He gave up quickly though, only managing to dodge. He lost sight of just about everything amidst the clones

He looked for the group, desperately hoping to see some sort of plan.

The Archer fired off an arrow in a random direction.
There was a girl with fans dancing around the battlefield
A man who looked like a copy of Ajora, but couldn't possibly be because he looked like he had his A$$ kicked.
Was that Riku, kingdom hearts Riku, in the back?

Nope.

Daniel summoned another blade, this time visible to everyone. Those with a quick eye would now be able to see a medium sized sword, a long hilt with no gaurd and a wooden grip. The hilt was as long as the blade. The blade itself was completely soaked in the inky substance that was seeping from the other sword in the ground some twenty feet behind him.

They would need a quick eye too, because he summoned the weapon to his free hand in the middle of a blurringly fast spin. The substance on Daniel's sword rocketed off, forming a gigantic, flat * crescent in the air. The liquid attack would splash across everyone's torso, friend or foe alike (unless you weren't 'solid'), and attached to their clothes without causing any physical harm. Instead, the "Ink" immediately started moving on all those present; For everyone NOT named Ajora the ink simply re-positioned itself to stay out of the way. Ajora on the other hand would find the liquid rush up his body and attempt to cover his eyes.

Unfortunately, there was no time for introductions. Daniel hoped they would understand that he was not with Ajora, but there was no guarantee. Especially not after he doused them with what probably looked like blood. he took a defensive stance and continued to dodge what clones he could at the edge of the battle.

[~~ Blood Ink Battlefield Counter:: 1 ~~]

[[ when he makes the crescent attack; imagine for a second that I'm holding a bucket of water-- If I were to turn the bucket on its side and start spinning really fast, the water would fly out in a cresent shape around me. Now color that water a deep dark red and BAM you are getting hit with Daniel's patented "Blood-Ink". This Ink is literally his mana manifested in liquid form, and it coats his blades constantly. He is a Spellblade class.

The Crescent will not hit Kyle or Joe, considering Kyle is really low on the ground and Joe is standing on air. The ink will slowly fade as your natural magic defense (depending on your stats) will dissolve the liquid. It will also depend on whether you consider Daniel friend or foe.]]

[ Noelle ~ Atlantis ~ Outside Throne Room]

Noelle wanted to object to Kyle participating in a drive. He couldn't even keep himself upright as the earth shook, he was so weak. But his light affinity might be their only hope. The girl gritted her teeth as Kyle told her to stay put, eyes still tearing a little. They didn't have time to dwell on it, however--Ultima was bringing the heat. The Dark being's first attack threw her and Kyle, pushing her a distance further than him because of her smaller frame. She groaned and looked up from where she lay, just barely having enough time to weakly throw up her arms against the next attack. This one hit hard, leaving her gasping and clutching her chest. Everything looked so hopeless, and she was starting to feel it.

'Human. Suck it UP! You're the only one keeping them alive. Get up now or say your goodbyes!'

The blonde grimaced and got to her feet, trying to gain control over the Darkness in her heart. Titan was right, her defeat could mean their defeat. She had to be tougher then that. Noelle steeled herself as she summoned her spear, seeking a reserve of energy to keep her going.

"Everyone stay healthy," she called over the charms, "We're out of Ethers and I'm not full on Mana. I'll stay physical to preserve it, but even then I can only hold out for a couple Cura spells."

Noelle growled as she realized the beings around her, passing through her and taunting her, were just going right through her spear attacks. She stopped attacking to conserve energy, and resorted to dodging. Her speed was no match, but all she could do was try to hold her own. Finally an idea struck her.

"Riku!" Noelle shouted over the charms, "How do I use a Dark Shield? If I can at least shield the others and myself from the majority of his Dark attacks we can gain a small edge--is it possible?"

A splash of red liquid crossed her chest, causing Noelle to jump and shout. Her concentration was elsewhere and she hadn't seen the source. Her first thought was that someone was dying already, but much to her surprise the red fluid wasn't blood. Knowing this relieved her enough to focus back on Riku's response.

{Dani : Atlantis : Throne Room}

"Gah!" Dani shouted as she flew back from the magical explosion caused by 'Ajora.' "I really hate when the boss will not just die," Dani thought.

As Dani looked around the room, she started to frown as the black hole swallowed up all of the water that she had placed on the ground. "SON OF A *****" Dani shouted even louder watching all of her hard work diminish into nothing. "That's it, now I am ticked." Dani thought as she started to slightly recover from the onslaughts of 'Ajora.'

'New plan.' Dani thought as she started to observe the others. The thoughts through the charms did not concern her. She knew that she was not close to Kyle so there was no point in trying to drive with him. "I guess I am on distraction duty. I guess I am not close to Kyle so I don't think I could drive with him." Dani said through the charms. She started to get up as suddenly some red liquid flew and attached to her. "What the hell!" Dani said out loud and looked at the red liquid. "Is this blood or something?"

Dani then looked around for the source and noticed someone with that red liquid on a blade. "I wonder if I could use this." Dani thought as she tried to use her magic on the substance only to see it not moving. "Well damn." Dani mentally sighed before trying to focus on Ajora.

Dani's eyes had a bit of trouble trying to see where Ajora was jumping around to, however an idea formed in her head. Dani used the water in her hands as well as some other water that she started to conjure and started the process and moving it up to the sky. That original water started to form into 3 large spheres over different spots above the battlefield before Dani made the orbs halt in the sky. When they were set up correctly she spoke over the charms "Sorry guys, some of you might get a little wet." She then released the orbs as they fell back down to the ground. As the water fell down and made impact with the ground, if it hit anyone other than 'Ajora' then they would get a little wet; it would not do damage and would not interfere. Otherwise the point was to try and use water running down Ajora to try and see him. If it hit any of the Anti Ajora's hopefully it would do damage to them.

[Note: I am trying to use the attack I have called Deluge if that is unclear to anyone.]

[Matt :-: Atlantis :-: Outside Throne Room]

Needless to say, Matt was rather freaked out by the Scan results. They were hardly of any use anyway, so he didn't bother broadcasting them to the others since they were already launching attacks. After the brunt of the assault had been deflected by "Ultima" and she spawned the glyphs, Matt had known to brace himself for attack after going through this song and dance multiple times by now.

When the explosion of the Black Hole faded away, he found that he was relatively unharmed by it, es pecially compared to the others. "Ultima" was wasting no time he saw as she launched Joe at one of their comrades. Joe easily recovered on his own though, so Matt was free to respond to Kyle's beckons and went back to Kyle's side. He stood protectively in front of his friend when the illusions started forming. "Got a plan, chief?" he said as his shirt tinted purple when the "blood" splashed on him.

[ Kyle ; Riku ; ??? : Atlantis : Outside Throne Room ]

"Joe. Drive," he said, using Mathy to help himself up. He didn't even bother with the cackling manifestations--couldn't do anything anyway.

Riku, watching the blades get launched back, quickly jumped in front of Dawn and activated his own immediate Dark Shield, blocking both sets--but now his single defensive spell needed to recharge, and that would take awhile. He held his Keyblade up in a defensive stance, still watching the clones.

"My instantaneous version takes steady practice. If you're looking for a longer duration," he said, glancing down at the harmless "blood"splatter that had a lighter consistency than actual blood. "I'd imagine it would be similar to forming a magic shroud around your target. But I... I don't know, Noelle."

For the first time in years, Riku was facing a new problem.

"If this guy is really what he says--and he certainly smells stronger than anything else..." he said, even his mental voice sounding uncertain. "Then that could open you up to some severe backlash. I... I'm not sure if we should be using Darkness at all."

For the first time in years, Riku felt useless.

The "demon" didn't flinch or react whatsoever as the lich-guardian reached forward and gripped him. After he finished speaking, "Ajora" tilted his head to the side, and the hand would have felt his lips curl ever-upward.

"Have you learned nothing, Louis?"

As Ultima's voice rang between the three, the guardian's hands released their grip of the face and throat, slowly pulling back... until one tightened around Kyla's throat and the other gripped her hair, pulling her head back hard enough to make her look at the sky. It wasn't that Louis' was being corrupted--it was simply that something else had greater influence.

Meanwhile, the ink that struck him rushed to his eyes, but it seemed to have little to no effect. Dani's Deluge struck, but did little more than soak the trio. The demon's free hand turned to his face, and with a foreboding glimmer, the blinding ink was sucked away--and seconds later, he snapped his fingers, causing a small flicker.

"Using Darkness against those with stronger control... so naive," she sneered, a haughty chuckle echoing in their minds.

The clones began to move even more erratically, twitching, blurring, contorting--one, sneering, dove upon Daniel from behind, erupting and vanishing. It did no damage, caused no shift in momentum--but he would suddenly feel liquid rush toward his eyes, attempting to blind him with an empowered version of his own spell.

"If pain and woe is your desire true," the black chorus sang, speaking to Louis. The chaotic clones suddenly converged into three spots with a powerful, vacuum-like gust of wind, allowing everyone to see again. The three black amalgams, separating the trio from the rest of the group, grew and shifted. Before they could react, the darkness had formed three hulking Ultima Demons, their grand bodies seething with a black aura.

"--then so shall be our precious gift to you."

Ajora's body suddenly surged with Darkness as massive black wings of energy briefly appeared behind him before vanishing in a flurry of feathers. The very aura applied an intense weight within their sphere of influence and a few feet beyond, at least a couple meters in either direction, only affecting anyone that got close. Simultaneously, the spinning spheres that represented his power seemed to double in size, and a massive spike of searing pain surged into Kyla's heart, passing through the connection and even striking Louis directly from his location.

To make matters worse, he was slowly beginning to pull his hand out of her chest, and though he did not have the heart in her grip, the dozens of black energy bolts, wildly dancing between fingers and chest, were obviously still connected to her heart, as he increased the pull on Louis from within. Both palms glimmered, their Nethicite shards waiting.

"A final chance, redemption still in reach..."
"Or are you truly willing to destroy her heart?"
"Our vict'ry, either choice. What will you do?"

---

As the malign tempest roared, the only response Louis received was a sickeningly-sinister feminine chuckle.

---

The spear, still sticking upright in the ground, had a tiny, unnoticeable black spark travel from the upper tip down into the ground--and another, and another. Unseen in the chaos of war, the rapid charges appeared and vanished in less time than it took to blink.

[ Noelle ~ Atlantis ~ Outside Throne Room]

Noelle growled as she watched her comrades around her attack. They were doing zero harm, and Kyla found herself in mortal peril yet again. I'm going to start making a tally list or some s**t because this is RIDONK. Riku's response didn't make her any happier either.

"No--but--!" The agromancer tried to argue, "We can't be like that! I'm not trying to be rash, but in a fight so serious there's nothing else I can do! I can't attack from a distance with magic, I can't risk getting taken out by getting up close and personal with physical attacks, I'm no good with quickfire tactics so I can't even stand back and figure out some sort of strategy . . . if I can't defend anyone then . . . I'm not trying to be stupidly self sacrificing, I just want to be useful!"

Suddenly all the phantom clones stopped barraging everyone, leaving Noelle's view clear. She looked to where they converged, wondering if she should be relieved or not. Were three hulking monsters better to deal with than dozens of phantom clones? They'd have to find out. The agromancer also noticed that there was a new addition to the battlefield. He didn't appear to have attacked any of their own--was it possible he was an ally?

[Kyla: Atlantis: Outside Throne Room]

Revisit of previous song: Fate of the Unknown
Being paralyzed for the second time today came as a blessing since even if she couldn't hold it in, screaming was apparently impossible. Nothing moved all she could do was blink and listen to the two sides battle it out with her as the rope in this tug-a-war. It was an odd feeling being utterly helpless and objectified for the 3rd time or 4th time since this adventure started. She was …getting used to it.

That’s bad right?

Oh well, whatever helps get through this ordeal and back home. But there was one thing she would NOT allow, and that was succumbing to Ajora/Ultima/and company’s threat of tearing her heart out- JUST to get at someone else. Her life literally had no meaning here. She was nothing but a device to be used to hurt someone else, no matter how much she herself was in pain. As agonizing, as heart wrenching and tormenting as it was- it wasn't even for her. And somehow that hurt most of all.

She was a toy. A doll whose hair was being ripped out, her limbs crushed, her body broken over and over and over- nothing personal of course. It was most inhumane, and of course she just supposed to shrug this off in the end. She’s got a world to save of course- if she gets through this.
AND as GOD as her witness, she would! She would NOT succumb to fear in this moment. Kyla would not give that last bit of her dignity to this creature. For the sake of all she cared and believed in-

-‘ I know you’re very focused on intimidating my friend here-’ She interjected ‘ – whoever you are… but let me assure you you’re little stunt is pointless; Because the destruction of MY heart- is NOT HIS to make- OR yours!’-

-~ SO kindly get your MITS off of it- and Get the HECK out! I was here first!!~

‘ I know you think my heart and soul is something like a little play thing for you to use as just a simple device for your plans but I got a news flash for you. On some level… I like to believe something other than even my own will holds me together. It is that belief which I held me together all this time. And there is nothing YOU can do to me as long as I know no matter what- no matter how torn it is… My heart is still something I will never let go of, IT will NOT disappear, NOT today. Not this moment..’

She stared up at Ajoras face- ‘ LOOK at me you b***h WHEN I’m talking to ALL THREE of you.!’

‘Even if my body disappears, I will NOT give in-If you yank Ava Mat out, I WILL find him again! You can hurt me as much as you please but I will NOT at any moment accept that this is my fate, and I promise you that I WILL come back for you, again and again and again and again- and not just me… mark my words you coward- NO one here is going to let you succeed. YOU WILL FALL…that is just your fate. THAT much, I know.’

Kyla could feel carbuncle giving her courage, her comforting presence brushed up against her inner being. She felt oddly calm somehow.

'- The only thing I may regret, is not being the actual hand that sees this artifice of you banished into the void. THAT honor, isn't mine. It's someone elses-'

Kyle- everyone- now is a good time to finish this.

'- sorry -err- not actually I take it back. YOUR time is almost up.'

Even in darkness…
… my Light, I won’t let it go.
EVER!

{Tseng : Atlantis : Outside the Tunnel Entrance}

{{Cue: Battle in the Forgotten City}}

Heartless normally were not a big deal, nothing more than an occupational and living hazard of this universe. Heartless en masse, though less common were still usually manageable. However, when the Darkside's massive hand slammed into the ground mere inches from the Turk, Tseng knew they were really in dire straights. The appearance of the world eating Heartless testified to the condition of this world and it's potential end. While the Turks were not known for their spotless record in regards to collateral damage, the loss of a world was anything but acceptable.

Daniel and Helga were heading back out the tunnel, which meant it was the leader's turn to follow suit. He quickly turned and began to run down the tunnel, putting as much distance between himself and the Darkside as quickly as possible. As he ran, Tseng would turn once in awhile and fire a few shots off at the Heartless that were closest to closing the distance and then turned and ran again. As he emerged from the tunnel he tossed two more grenades into it, a Thundara and another Fira. The Thundara grenade arced and crackled down the rows, striking as many Heartless as it could, not hard given the abundance of the targets. While the Fira Grenade unleashed another massive explosion at the tunnel's entrance. As the explosion receded one would notice that the entrance had been reduced to nothing more than a pile of rubble.

'That might slow them down... but not for long.' the Turk thought as he continued to run to catch up to his prodige and Helga.

As he caught up he noted that the heartless were even larger in numbers in the city as they raced towards the plateau, there were more Darksides all of them along with the Heartless making their way towards the Heart. His focus turned to Daniel as he spoke regarding the Princess and the Heart of Atlantis. He nodded his head in understanding and continued to follow Daniel towards Ajora and the survivors.

No sooner did they get about 100 feet away Ajora unleashed an attack that caused the Turk to fall to his knees and cover himself even at his distance. All light was extinguished as the orb of darkness exploded and veins of darkness rained down upon them. Tseng crossed his arms over his chest to protect vital areas, and that was about all he could do, blind as he was in the void of the attack.

When the darkness finally cleared and the Turk could see again it took him a few moments to rise to his feet and Ajora was already on the attack, not just Ajora but dozens of copies of him, just like the copies that they had seen when the Dark Dragoon had first arrived in Atlantis were moving about the battlefield in such a manner as to be nearly impossible to track. The Turk did everything he could to dodge the clones as they dashed around the field. However, they soon converged in three spots, creating the hulking form of three demons.

'It was our mission to carry out this operation covertly, but it's far too late for that now,' The Turk thought as he pulled out his second pistol and began firing at the closest of the three demons.

'This group is fighting these demons with everything that they've got, and it seems like it is having hardly any effect. If this world is to be preserved we have no choice but to help them this time.'

[[??? : Atlantis : Inside Kyla/Bobbi]]

"Using Darkness against those with stronger control... so naive,"

The phantom roared in frustration as he could feel his body slipping beyond his control, "BURN IN HELL YOU WHORE!" The demon behind the girl suddenly burst into tiny specks of black dust, releasing Kyla from its grip.

"A final chance, redemption still in reach..."
"..."
"Or are you truly willing to destroy her heart?"

"..."
"Our vict'ry, either choice. What will you do?"
"..."

High above the battlefield an artifact took a sudden sharp turn, nearly throwing the pilot off the side. Turning to face the ground the fish-shaped flyer charged forward.

‘ I know you’re very focused on intimidating my friend here, whoever you are… but let me assure you you’re little stunt is pointless; Because the destruction of MY heart- is NOT HIS to make- OR yours!’

~ SO kindly get your MITS off of it- and Get the HECK out! I was here first!!~

As Kyla proceeded to let Ajora have it, the phantom couldn't help but crack a smile. So much strength for such a small girl. She wasn't giving in even though she was the one on the chopping block... what choice was there left?

"Well, you heard her," he replied, "try to tear me out if you want, but neither she nor I are going to give in. Oh, and I have a message for Ultima-"

A constant flow of atlantian energy careened through the open sky, colliding with the corrupted replica holding Kyla hostage, "If that's not clear enough for you... suck on this!" even as the beam continued to drench the replica in blue light, it suddenly came to an abrupt and explosive halt as the fish-plane rammed full speed into the replica, missing the girl entirely, and detonated into stone and blue atlantian fire.

[Dawn : Atlantis : Outside Throne Room]

Dawn's dancing stopped once more as the blades launched by Ajora. She was about to cover herself, but Riku beat her to the punch. Some red liquid splashed on her as the darkness cleared. Her eyes drifted over the area. Ajora had his hands on Kyla. There was also a couple of strangers on the battlefield.

"What do can we do now?" Dawn said over the charms, "We are just taking whatever he gives us...."

[Joe: Atlantis: Outside Throne Room]

Mathy was there, Kyle was there, and Joe was diving. Fast. Faster than he probably should have been, and by the time he thought to slow down a bit, he was already plowing into them, and light and magic erupted from the three of them.

The sphere of light that formed enveloped the three males, rising up a bit before shattering as if it was a glass orb. There stood a male, decked out in heavy, golden armor. Had the helm, shaped like a dragon's head, not had an open face, people might not have known it was Joe. The armor was large, shiny. The gauntlets had claws on them, the rest looking like knights armor with a large cape, and a scale mail drape covering most of his legs, an opening on his right side so he could move in it. There were also dragon faces in the armor, the eyes made of emeralds, shining brightly in their own light.

Suddenly, slits in the armor appeared, and opened, revealing eyes of light, constantly swirling and moving, looking here and there. And as they locked onto Ajora and his Ultima Demons after the giant fish bot rammed into Ajora, Joe opened his mouth.

"I am the being that brings light to the darkness. I rend the night with the force of dawn! I SHALL RAIN DOWN HOLY JUDGEMENT UPON THY EVIL WITH THE STRENGTH OF DAYBREAK!" His voice seemed to echo and reverberate, and as he finished, he reached into his chest, somehow reaching inside of himself and pulled out two orbs of light. One shedding a soft, golden light, the other the light blue of a well-lit sky. He let them go, and they hovered in front of him, before smashing together. As they floated apart, the shaft of a weapon appeared in between them, forming from the light. Joe reached, grabbed, and pulled, revealing the weapon to be not unlike that of a naginata. The long, crystal like shaft gave off it's own light, the long, large, scimitar-esque blade glowing blue. At the other end lay a barb in the shape of an end of Kyle's spear.

"Come, Dark One. Let us see how you handle the light of the sun." Joe readied his weapon, the eyes on his armor locked in on the targets. And when Joe moved forward, the eyes fired. Lasers of light shot from them, and Joe himself was swinging his polearm.

Of course, the two orbs he called out seemed to have minds of their own....

[ ??? : Atlantis : Outside Throne Room ]

"Well... if you're willing to risk it, then like I said, imagine cloaking them in a veil--"

The entity simply continued smiling. It didn't even seem to acknowledge Kyla--because she had, in fact, no meaning to him. Its seven eyes, dancing in oblivion, remained stationary. Its free hand blurred to the side, the hungering crystal shard shining bright as a laser was fired.

The beam was absorbed--constantly, thoroughly, and as it was, the hand and arm began to vibrate, surging with energy. The body suit seemed to come alive with all the energy, showing that every etched line in the fabric had actually been a tightened black vein. They know began to pulse with power, fueled by the canon.

There was flash of light off to the side, followed by a bellowing threat. Just something else he ignored... especially as the ship rammed directly into his arm, stopping in midair as it was caught by his hand, charged and overflowing with strength from the very laser that had tried to harm him.

He cackled.

"Well, this is new."

Kyle's voice echoed to Matt and Joe, though Joe was busy talking. Still, he felt invigorated, charged, capable of all his spells once again--

--and then he saw "Ajora" doing what exactly as Xemnas had once done to Sora. He was ripping her heart out.

"NO!"

Riku had seen it, too--and with a sudden burst of Darkness, he was surging toward the duo, just as Joe was flying toward the demons. They had so little time--

"Oh foolish humes. You see, we are the Void."

It became instantly clear that he had, in fact, been pulling his punches. Without effort, without so much as a grunt, he yanked backward, ripping Louis' connection to her heart away with as much searing pain as one can fathom, and then some. Each bolt, from chest to hand, was like a separate weaving of Louis' darkness, so one by one, they swiftly blinked out of existence--

"Shitshitshitshit--"

Barely having any time to react, the golden sphere shot a beam of Light at Riku--and suddenly the Keyblade Master was glowing brightly, enchanted with Enlight as Joe assaulted the demons, stunning them, and even some gunman was helping, distracting them--

--just long enough for Riku, using his Dark-Turned-Light Aura Rush, to dash past, thrusting the brightly-coated Way to the Dawn straight through Ajora's chest, tackling backwards and away from Kyla--

--who had only had a single weave of darkness, of Louis, remaining on her heart. The bolt of energy immediately rushed back into her chest. Most had been torn, uprooted, likely ripping away at portions of her own heart in the process, but one strand remained, and so did the connection, though fragile. Her heart was severely damaged, but barely, just barely, not broken, and would heal.

Riku leapt backward from his target after tackling him to the ground, keeping a defensive stance, his face contorted in rage. Not again. He would not watch it again.

He wasn't useless. He had his blade, and that's all that mattered.

He would not watch a friend lose their heart again.

The entity flipped backwards, but landed sloppily, one hand holding his chest, all seven eyes widened as it stared the Keyblader down. Blood gushed down, but with just a few seconds, the wound closed, covered by Darkness.

"You dare to interrupt our earned vengeance?!" the black choir seethed. It chanced a glance back toward his demons--one of which had already been cut down by Joe's joint naginata-laser assault, the other two who were leaping in separate directions away. Their rage grew to a furious crescendo, which is unleashed... by opening a vertical mouth, from the bottom of the forehead eye down to its chin, and spreading it wide, revealing an endless black abyss which released a terrifying, eldritch shout that held the enraged voices of not tens, not hundreds, but endless entities.

[[ Kyla was saved, but for all intents and purposes, the damage to your heart was severe enough to cause some pretty bad HP damage--nothing fatal or KO-worthy, but very near.

Roar of the Furthest Ring : MS 15, Chance of Stun and Fear. Roll (1 to [MRx2]) for Stun first--if you get a 15 or lower, then roll again for Fear, which has a -4. If you get 11 or lower, you have Fear for 1 full post. If you failed Fear but got Stunned, you're Stunned for 1 full post. If you failed the Stun roll (got higher than 15), you're free and don't even have to roll for Fear. ]]

[Dawn : Atlantis : Outside Throne Room]

"Kyla!" Dawn shouted as things escalated quickly. There were no time for plans. Not with Kyla in danger. Dawn rushed forward after Riku with the wind pushing forward to increase her speed. After Riku got Kyla out of Ajora's grasp, Dawn leaned over to grab Kyla. She gathered her wind and started to push on the ground to escape with the girl-

Then the voices erupted around them. Dawn's body went numb with the eruption of sound. She was unable to get a good jump.... It was more like a small push off of the ground that sent them a short distance away from the fighting like a small twisting arrow. They landed on the ground with Dawn's body cushioning Kyla's. The dancer's body shook from the stun, but still had her arms protectively around Kyla.

[[??? : Atlantis : Inside Kyla]]

[[Cue: Pieces by Red]]

The phantom's blood, if one could call it that, ran cold as it stared at his opponent merely reach up and stop an several ton flying vehicle with one hand. As time seemed to slow to a stop, his perspective faded and he felt himself sink.

Deep down within Kyla, he stood upon the shores to her heart, dark waves splashing against the rocks and sand as he stared out at the horizon and the portal that lie upon it. His bare feet rested softly in the sand, the breaking waves tickling his ankles as foam. Cracks ran along the sky like an aged painted wall. His shoulders dropped as the sea churned and the sand shifted beneath his feet, "Looks like I failed. Now I'm trapped."

He turned away from the splitting image to look at Kyla who stood a foot behind him, "It won't be long now. I don't have much time. So, before I go, I just want to say... " In a spiral of black falling to his palm from his chest, he held out a small golden crystal. She'd seen it before, in the travels of her dreams... seemingly lost before in the kaleidoscope of shattered fragments like it, "I don't know how you did it... but you fixed something inside me. Something that should have been lost." His gaze fell to the crystal that glowed dimly like candlelight right before it goes out, "I wish I could have done more. If only we had more time..."

He flinched, it seemed his time had come. The cracks on the horizon releasing an audible shatter followed by a howling gale. It pulled on him, but only him. He slid on the sand, pulled towards the sea as he fell to his knees, one arm outstretched. The darkness shrouding his form thinned, his face and body almost recognizable, and for a split second was almost completely visible.

"Don't worry," he shouted over the noise, "We'll meet again, I'm sure of it! Maybe not today, or tomorrow, next week, or next month... It might not be the same. We might even be completely different people! But I'm sure that some day, we'll find each other. I promise!" He reached out and grabbed her hand. As the darkness closed in, he lifted his gaze, his pair of bright gold eyes, slit down the middle like a snake's and glowing like a set of crystals matching the one he'd held in his hand a second before, met hers for but a split second. With his last words barely audible over the roar, he smiled, "Cuz that's what friends do, right?" There was a flash, like a messy film reel and static audio images poured over Kyla's vision. Scattered scenarios flickered in and out between swiftly passing frames, sounds of joyful laughter, urgent shouting, calm words and fragments of conversations, whispers and painful cries clumped together and overlapped.

"Hey, wait up!"
"Why do people dislike me so much... what did I ever do to them?"

"Hahaha! Daniel, come here, you've got to see this!"
"Wow, this is amazing! Wish I could do stuff like this."

"I'm tired of this bull s**t! Leave me alone!"
"Hey! Give that back!"

"I'm coming! I'm coming! Don't leave without me!"
"Now, multiply these two and, yeah, exactly, you got it!"

"I'm just lonely... ya know?"
"I don't have many friends, mostly a few people I'm really close to."

"IMMENSELY- gah, damn it!"
"GET OUT!"

"My friends? They mean everything to me. I'd do anything to protect them."
"Yo, Louis!"

"Hey, Owl, catch!"
"Sven!"

"It's a pleasure to meet you... um, Kyla, was it?"

He braced himself, attempted to resist but gaping hole shaped like a beast's open jaws quickly closed in, ripping him away from her with the force of a tornado, devouring him along with most of the beach. His eyes, still locked on hers till the last moment grayed out, losing all of their light.

Yet, just as it threatened to bite down on the girl, it pulled back and retreated beyond the horizon, leaving the distance a shattered mess, but a calm one, waters and sand returning like before. In her hands, rested the crystal shard left behind, glowing faintly, casting a dull warmth on her skin, a lingering whisper left drifting on the settling wind, "Thank you."

[ Noelle ~ Atlantis ~ Outside Throne Room]

Noelle watched the Matt-Joe-Kyle drive attacks, trying to keep an eye out for her comrades while evaluating the new additions to the field. It seemed like these suited people were on their side--for the time being, that was. The drive attacks took out one of the hulking monsters in front of Kyla and "Ajora," allowing them access to them as the Dark being . . . was he trying to take her heart?! Noelle sprang with the others, though made considerably less distance for the time without the use of her magic. Even though she was only a few meters away, she couldn't make it in time. Riku beat everyone out, attacking "Ajora" with a blow that finally caused damage. What the entity pulled from Kyla's chest wasn't her heart, however. In her rush, the agromancer couldn't tell what it was that he removed from her. At the moment that seemed irrelevant, so long as Kyla's life could be preserved.

Noelle had almost reached them as the Dark being made a roar attack. The sound jolted her, making her stumble as she ran. She tumbled forward, nearly landing on her front but being able to catch herself on her hands and knees. She panted and brought a hand up to her head as her vision blurred, trying to regain her bearings.
