Today is one week since the world lost an incredibly talented, and caring, human being, Chester Bennington, to suicide. It's not something that I share often, but I knew him. I work for the band, and have met/partied with him, several times. Yes, he knew who I am. Whereas I can't call myself a friend of his, I was a casual acquaintance. It's been a rough week for many of us, and we've lost a few of our fellow promoters, who followed in his footsteps, last weekend.
Today, there was a staff alert; a tribute to Chester. There's free items, but mostly, there's links and phone numbers.
If you, or someone you know, is contemplating suicide, you are NOT alone. You have other options, and there are people who have been there, done that, and came out the other side, me, included. PLEASE reach out to someone you trust, or a perfect stranger if it's easier. But REACH OUT. I'm here every day. I may not post, but I do keep an eye out on the guild at least once a day, sometimes twice. PM me here. You can also find me on Facebook. Just look for my username, and you'll find me there, too. Who cares if one more light goes out? I do!
