[ORP] Black and Blue

Silver sat with his back against the wall of the gymnasium, mostly lost in thought as he watched the small, dark lemurian playing with a strand of seaweed he had carried inside the dome. He had found the child just outside one of the exits to the reef and he had failed to find any sign of a guardian, or someone that even recalled seeing the child before, even after searching around for hours. He let out a tired and exasperated sigh, leaning his head back against the wall as he stared down at the kid. Not even the little dark boy knew where he was from, the only real information he managed to get was his name, Vore.

Vore looked over at Silver, the strand of seaweed hanging across his head with one end in his mouth. He spit it out and tilted his head to let it slid into his lap, poking at the drying seaweed which was starting to become a bit crumbly. "Si'ver, it's breaking!" He cried as he jumped up, hurrying over to Silver's side and holding the seaweed into his face. "Make it not crumble!"

Reu was... slightly lost. Not that he really realized this fact. His mother had set him in the midst of some other younglings to play and wandered a bit away to talk to a friend, and Reu had subsequently wandered off when one of his handful of colored seashells had attempted to escape. Now he was just wandering around, playing with the seashells, and not really paying attention to where he was or where he was going.

Vore's distressed exclamations to Silver caught the little one's attention then, and after looking over at them for a moment he toddled over, waving a fist full of seashells at them. "H'llo!" He peered at the seaweed. "Whassat?" He'd never seen a whole strand of seaweed before. Usually he saw little cut up pieces that his mother tried to make him eat. It didn't seem at all the same thing to him.

Silver grabbed the end of the seaweed and rubbed it between his fingers. It was barely moist and crumbled between his fingers. "Sorry kid I can't do anything about it in here, it needs water, 's drying up." He gave a soft sigh as Vore's bottom lip trembled, trying to think of something to make the little one cheer up. "Look, uhh, I'll go get you some more later, alright?"

"'Kay~" Vore grinned and spun to look at the curious tan and blue boy that had just walked up. "Hallo!" At the other bvoy's question he held up the seaweed and looked at it. "Wazzis? I's seaweed!" Noticing something in the other boy's hand he blinked, pointed at the objects he couldn't make out in his hand. "Wa' ya got?"
