He loved her, and by saying no maybe it confirmed just how greatly.
"Shhh, Jade... Shhh..." She tugged one of his arms off from around her back, letting go of him as she moved his hand up to cup the side of her throat gently. She held it there as she let the rest of his forearm press against the bare skin of her chest.
"I'm yours now." Nadia whispered, leaning to place a short, chaste kiss on his lips, letting them touch forehead-to-forehead again as if to keep his lips away once she broke it. "We don't fit if you're afraid or uncomfortable, but I can wait; I'm right here now and I will be when you're ready. And..." Here she paused, but only briefly. "And I'll be here when you're tired and confused, and I can wait right in this very room whenever you're injured so I can worry about you like a lovesick fool." As she spoke with their faces still so close together, Nadia would be changing how she was sitting again. She had to half-stand to do it, but would soon enough be sitting on her knees just in front of him. She was still holding that hand and arm to her though, turning it palm-up as she pulled it from her neck in the end, placing a kiss just in the centre before opening her eyes again.
"So don't worry... You go back and check on Josie, and I'll go and clean myself up." As if on cue Nadia was aware of how long it had been since she'd been able to bathe properly, and was slightly revolted by it. Nevermind her body's need for food right now, or the pleasant ache she felt for his touch, she needed to get the tearstains off her face and brush her hair!
"Do you... need help to stand?"

The memory certainly wasn't vague, but Nadia was left smilling with the promise he left her before she finally made herself stand up- closing and tying off the robe around her again. This would be the first time she'd actually notice the crystals shattered across the ground, nearly having stepped on one with her bare feet before she stopped.
Nadia would spend a few minutes quietly looking over and picking through the broken bits of jade on the floor. Most of it was unrecognizable, but there were still some things she recognized. This one held a bow that looked like Terra's, that one wore Allan's fedora. She even found one that looked like herself, flying on the air like skaters do across ice although one've the arms and the head had been blasted off with the temperature change. She pocketed that one, and then took out one've her water sutra, gathering a bit of cold shadows from the still chilly room.
When Nadia finally left, opening a door down to the surface where there was moonlight and a cool lagoon to bathe in, she left a small shadow-shrouded miniature on one've the now empty shelves in Jade's room. She could turn darkness into cloth, not stone or crystal, so in the middle of the whispering black there was a small figure of ice. The shadows would keep it from melting even after the temperature was brought back up to a normal level.
