There's no sense crying over every mistake...

I haven't been to this guild in SOO long, so I apologize if there is a thread like this.
But this thought came into my head:
Does anyone notice how when Kaori Yuki starts out a new manga, whether it's Angel Sanctuary, Godchild/Count Cain, BloodHound, etc, she starts it out making you want to READ it.
The storyline catches your eye, as well as the art, but then as you read further, the storyline gets... confusing. WAY confusing- and even off track.

In God Child/ Count Cain, he started out with a fascination for poisons- yet as you read further, his poison collection kinda... doesn't exist?
In Blood Hound- I read the first chapter or first novel, where it ended with her hoping to see that mysterious vampire again. GOOD ENDING. But- there was more to it- and things seemed to pop up out of nowhere, when you think they were going to explain stuff things only got more confusing.

Don't get me wrong, she's a very talented artist, and I love the plots she comes up with for her Mangas. I just think she gets a little- or waaaay off track to the point where I realized I wasn't reading the manga for the story anymore... just the art.

What are your thoughts and opinions on this?

...You just keep on trying 'till you run out of cake!

I would have to say that I don't really agree with you. I actually enjoy it when it gets confusing because it makes me think. It's a bit hard for me to explain, but I personally don't think that way about her works. sweatdrop

It's alright, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
It's not the thinking part that gets me- it's just that it throws me waaayy off because I think I would have missed something when I didn't. Some stuff makes sense, some doesn't, I guess it depends on the manga.
I was also considering why mangas such as Angel Sanctuary and such weren't as popular as I would have liked them to be- but with such a (long XD) confusing storyline, especially with so many characters can be confusing.
I mean in Bleach, the storyline changes as they progress further, and it all fits together.
Thank you for sharing your ideas, though!

Please explain.
Do you meant eh confusing storyline or when she adds new characters?

Moonlil from Angel Sanctuary is such an adorable little character! But she isn't recognizable.

I do agree with you. I does get confusing >.< Also.. you know Kaori starts out with amazing plot lines but.. the endings aren't as great as the start of the book in my opinion. I mean they are good. But.. i just don't know how to explain it. v.v

I half agree with your sayings. Yes it is a bit confusing sometime to the point that I read it twice like her manga 'neji', but then again, isn't it what makes her manga what they are and so awesome? I like thinking when I read something and I don't like mangas where we all know what will happen next and how the story end to the point where you can almost predict what the character will say next =.= that would be just plain boring if her work was like that and there wouldn't have been a guild made for her fans^^' anyway. It's true that sometimes we can be thrown off, but it's ok and when the manga is finally finish, we tend to finally understand it all no? even if some stuff that were said just doesn't exist, that maybe because the main characters, whose story was about, was just a bit off? or something. I dunno what I could take as an exemple tho. but anyway, it is that intriguing and yet complicated storyline that made me a fan of hers^^

I know what you mean, but it can be good because it has "replay value".
