A combination of Photoportation and Light Mimicry.
Aleksandr's Magical Affinity rests in the ability to generate light from his body, usually his left hand. While this feature is good to generate light in the darkness, or cause temporary blindness upon enemies, Aleksandr's true power rests within his ability to teleport to any specific place that his light touches. Gems, like the one in his staff, and reflective surfaces can allow for his light to strengthen or further his reach due to their ability to magnify the lights intensity or focus it. Additionally, his light generating powers work best at night, where his light can reach farther and shine brighter. You see, Aleksandr can not teleport to any specific light source, but only that light which he or his Guardian manifests (once she has the ability to mimic her Users power). Aleksandr does not have the ability to transport others outside of himself and daylight can severely dampen his powers, as it becomes harder to distinguish where his light is casting as it battles with the sun's natural energy and light. In addition, trees and other large and obstructive objects will hinder and inhibit the distance that he can cover; dark open plains are the best for his uses. Casting the light, as a general flash or steady light, normally does not tire Aleksandr, as he has had many years perfecting his abilities. However, multiple teleportations, especially those over long distances, can have severe consequences on his health and energy supplies. At his worst, he can pass out or into severe fevers and nightmares.

Two fashion ideals are listed for Aleksandr. The first being while he's in the woods, where he opts for comfortable clothes made of hide. His skin is tanned from the sun and his hair is more or less untamed, his beard gone awry. However, after he makes his departure from the forest and assumes life as a user, and more or less at the prodding of Artemis, he cleans up his appearance. Animal hide will still be his outfit material of choice, but instead of a baggy and tattered mound of skins, he will invest in fur lined robes, simple white shirts, and black pants with a sash knotted over the outfit as a whole.

A tender soul, Aleksandr has dubbed himself a keeper of nature, befriending the creatures surrounding his homely hut, blending into the . Having no children of his own, these creatures are as close as he imagines himself getting to one, communicating with them, taking them into his home, feeding them, and looking after them when they are sick. When he's not interacting with his wild family members, Aleksandr travels the countryside, light on his feet in his hide slippers, collecting information on the foliage, creatures, and ruins of the forests that his home has enveloped, murmuring to himself about his findings. While he was never a socialite, nor a recluse, Aleksandr enjoys his peace and tends to avoid the people who enter into his environment, instead keeping to the shadows and watching their movements, tracking them from the trees, and monitoring their interactions with his forrest family, ready to interfere on the behalf of a loved one. However, without the instigation, those that intrude on his territory will never know of his presence. To interact with them on a social level would cause too many questions, individuals may try to change his lifestyle and habits, ingrained in after years of personal social withdrawal.

Event skeleton leading to Aleksandr's current life
- Firstborn to Demetri and Korakova
- Korakova died during childbirth
- Father was functional and supplied his son with a roof/food, but seemed to withdraw within himself upon the death of his wife. Little affection and empty stares. Implications: Aleksandr always sought out a source of affection that would offer the unconditional love and affection he wasn't afforded growing up. Found it in animals.
- Grew up in the ending years of the war, doesn't remember much about the war itself, other then the turmoil and confusion of the local people, families crying at the loss of loved ones, and the various famed Guardians passing through the city telling stories in the Tavern his father runs. Implications: reinforces fascination with animals and magic, first aspiration, carries a message home of the different types of loss.
- Tavern catches fire during one of the final battles, destroying his home and killing his father, first magical ability?. Implications: orphan child shipped off to Mistwick where he was enlisted in school, rising hatred against Machine faction [blames them]
- Graduates and not offered a Guardian within years of interning Implications: depressed, runs away to the forests
- Lives there guarding the animals and floral life
- Life of refuge is ended by one of two options? This is just what I've thought up insofar, up to other options. [I would like this and following events to be through solos/PRPs, wherein the Guardian pairing is fresh and new]:
- Taken in due to fight with someone who threatened his "family". Seers/Gaia/War/whoever intercedes on his behalf. Chosen as a User.
- Seers/Gaia/whoever sends a messenger to him, calling his presence to the city. Travels in to find he is in the next cropping of Users, by some unknown reason years later.
