It’s the end of a long, hard fought battle between the Moon Kingdom and a factor called the Verandar. The Verandar were a band of greedy tyrants, who wanted power and money. Seeing the moon kingdom as the ultimate prize to own, they were all recruited by a man named Adonis. After the group acquired enough power to take out the moon kingdom, they began their attack, starting with the outside of the solar system.
The Outer Senshi were unable to hold them back and ended up calling for the inner senshi to help with the fight. The battle, which was a taker of many lives, eventually led into the inner part of the solar system and finally, to the Moon. By this time, both sides were perpetually weakened. When Queen Chibi Usa finally stepped into the fight, it looked as if the balance was lingering on nothing but a hair. If that hair were to break, the entire Moon Kingdom could fall into the abyss.
But alas, with the help of both the Silver and Gold crystals, evil was overcome and the Verandar were sent packing. The Moon Kingdom was once again safe. But things would never be the same again…
Now that the battle was over, it was time to clean up the destruction that had been left behind. The battle left the Moon Kingdom broken and the amount of destruction was great. It started with Queen Chibi Usa, who in the final attack became paralyzed from the waist down. With no way to undo the magic, she had no choice but to give up the great kingdom that she had only recently gotten used to ruling.
It was only the start of things. The Venus twins lost their mother and father. Mars lost her father. Jupiter lost her younger sister. And many, many families were left with no homes to return to.
With all bad things, there were good things that had to be brought to light. It was time for a new queen to be crowned. Standing in front and center stage was Princess Michiko. Would she be able to take the crown with her head held high and successfully lead the Moon Kingdom through the healing process and into a new era?
In the shadows, a new enemy sat watching and waiting. Although they weren't as strong as they would like to be, now was the time to strike. With the Moon Kingdom in shambles and a brand new queen, it was an oppertunity not to miss...
