Life...

(here's a bit of 127's story)
How long has it been I don't remember, when I first met them,when I first found out my abilities. Now I remember.I remember it all started a week ago...today.
My optics flickered a little, then focused. "Hey,she's awake", I heard someone say,"don't crowd her,let her breath!" I woke with a sudden gasp. I looked up and saw three other stichpunks, one was rather old he carried a cane and wore a hat that had a candle and a lens. The other two were twins, they stood staring at me, flickering lights came from their eyes."Hello there deary," the elder said as he helped me up,"oh your just a child." After studying me he looked up at me and asked,"Can you speak?" I uttered a tiny whimper,"It's alright",he said,"We won't hurt you, you're safe." "S-safe?", I uttered. He smiled and said,"Yes,safe." I smiled back at him. "I'm 2",he explained,"and these two are 3 and 4." 3 and 4 ran over to me and examined me with their flickering eyes, I giggled at their curiosity."And what's your name child?", he asked.I looked at my thigh and saw the number 127 then looked back at him. "Aahh," he breathed,"well I remember another young lady in a red kimono approached me and asked about you." I looked at him confused."Would you like to come with us?",he asked. I shook me head yes and followed them out into the emptiness.
I stopped and looked up at the sky and the at my palms,"so this is what life is like," I said to my self. 2 looked back and said, "come along dear."I then followed them to a small dilapidated chapel."It's not much," 2 said,"but it's home" As we approached the entrance I saw another stichpunk. This one was quit large and carried two swords on his back, he also had three black lines going across his mouth vertically."Who is that?" I asked."Oh, that's 8," 2 explained,"don't worry, he may seem intimidating but he's not so bad once you get to know him."As we walked past him I looked up at him and he lowered his gaze at me. I started to shake a little,"It's alright", 2 said,"like I said before your safe with us."3 and 4 took my hands. I let out a sigh of relief, but my relief was cut short when I heard 8 follow us into the chapel so I did my best not to look back."What's this?",a voice boomed from the darkness."We found her in the emptiness," 2 exclaimed. Another elder stichpunk appeared. He had what looked like a cone on his head with a penny attached to it, he wore a tattered cape and held a staff in his hand. He studied me and then after 5 seconds said,"Well, what can she do?"2 looked at me then back at the other elder and answered,"Well, we don't know yet." "Hmmmm," the elder grumbled,"you'll have to find it soon", he aimed his narrow gaze at me too. 2 then showed me to my room which was a broken book shelf next to a stain glass window.
"Sorry if 1 scared you",2 said. "Oh I wasn't scared....that much," I told him. 2 chuckled,"Well I'm sure you'll find something your good at very soon." He then left the shelf. I lay in my new room observing everything in it. "Something I'm good at," I said to myself. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a thimble shining in the moon light. It was on the floor just out of reach of the shelf. I reach out to grab it but couldn't manage to get it, then all of the sudden after 15 seconds of trying to grasp the shiny object I saw it began to rise off the ground. I gasped and pulled back and held my hand."D-did I just...", I thought.I tried again, I held my hand out and concentrated. The thimble then rose off the ground, floated onto the shelf and into my hand. I gazed at it in awe, "I-I did" she said aloud. I couldn't wait to show every one.
The next morning I left me room with thimble in my hand looking for 2. I bumped into the twins in the hallway, "Oh hey guys, have you seen 2," I asked," I found my ability and I want To show him." 3 and 4 exchanged glances then turned to me flickering their optics as if to say"can we see it?" I smiled at them and said,"everyone'll get a chance to see."They took me to a little stone hut just out side the chapel. 2 was talking to a one-eyed stichpunk named 5. After their conversation was over I went up to 2 and told him about my discovery."Really, well I'm sure everyone would love to see it", he said. When 2 and the twins left 5 introduced himself to me. "2 told me he found you in the emptiness," he began. "Y-yeah," I said,"It's weired because I can't remember much from when I was human, only that everyone died from a war." "yeah it was pretty bad," 5 chuckled," that's kind of how I got this." 5 pointed at the patch of leather that covered the right side of his face."Oh, that must of hurt," I gasped. "It's not all that bad," 5 said with a smile," it helps me focus on one thing at a time.""Oh, well that's good," I said.
By 8:45pm everyone was in the throne room waiting for the surprise I had in store.I met two more stichpunks that day , 7 and 6. 7 was a proud valkyrie but always mentioned how much she didn't like 1, that he was nothing but a coward. ^ was a peculiar fellow, always drawing circles that seemed so familiar and always mentioning a source of some sort."OK," 2 said," let's see it." I took a deep breath. I then put the thimble in th middle of the floor and took three steps back. I held out my hand, then slowly it rose off the ground suspended in midair. Everyone had surprised looks on their faces as if they saw a portal to another dimension open up in the middle of the floor.when it reached my hands I looked at them and said,"Tah-dah, he he."Wow,"5 breathed. the twins cheered with their eyes and clapped."I-is that all?" 1 stuttered."Nope," I said. I put my hand over the mouth of the thimble and shook it until a swishing noise was heard. Then I flipped the it upsidown and out popped a wet blue lotus flower. The lotus then turned into a butterfly, fluttered about the room, then turned into a blue cannery. It chirped twice the flew back to me, turned into water and spilled into the thimble. I turned it upsidown once more to show it was completely empty.Everyone applauded, everyone except 1 and 8.
8 looked over at 1 who had an unusual look on his face."Bravo, Bravo!" 2 laughed as he clapped. I took a bow and said."Thank you ,thank you!" 5 looked at the pocket watch ganging from the wall and saw it read 9:00,"Well, I think it's time we get to bed," he yawned. We all agreed it was time to turn in, but just as I was about to leave 1 called me over to him."You called, sir," I asked."Yes," he answered,"it has come to my attention that you can preform witchcraft." "Witchcraft?" I asked. "Yes, sorcery,"he said. "What of it, didn't you like it?" I asked."I don't want to do it again,"1 said."What, why,it's completely harmless," I told him. "Regardless, from now on you aren't to do any of that without my permission, is that clear!?" 1 barked.I hesitated for a moment."Y-yes," I answered."Good," he said,"now off to bed with you."
As I walked back to my room I looked at my hands and said,"Witch...m-me...?" Is this the life I now live?
