"I beg to differ, Jarid." Sylfa said with a smile as she leaned back on her desk. "She didn't beat you up after saying such a horrible thing." She smiled looking back at James. "Isn't that so, James?"  

[Zahzi]

"Hey, it wasn't horrible..." Jarid sighed.
"I could have totally said something about bombshells or landmines, but I chose AIRBAGS.....AIRBAGS, DAMMIT." he retorted, flailing his arms about.  

[Dual Limit]

"Yes...it is." Sylfa sighed, shaking her head from left to right. "Do you have any idea how painful it is for a woman getting hit there? Well, I don't really expect you to understand." She said, stacking the papers on her desk.  

[Zahzi]

James just gave a sigh, shaking his head.
"You'll have to forgive Jarid...This is all he grew up as. A rather vulgar individual with no filter."

"...Heeeeeey..."

"...But...His heart is in the right place."  

[Dual Limit]

"I know that," Sylfa said, giving them both a smile. " Which is to why I think that he and Cyrene would fit nicely together...though, I'm a little worried." She said, tapping her chin. Then she shrugged. "Oh well, anyway, you two better rest up, big day tomorrow."  

[Zahzi]

"Oh, that means I can LEAVE." James retorted, raising an eyebrow.

".....Yeah....I'm just gonna leave you lovebirds alone......" Jarid laughed nervously as he made his way out of the room.

"........Not helping...."

Sylfa chuckled. "Oh, well, that all depends on you, honey." She purred at James before chuckling at Jarid's remark. She walked over to the older man's side and patted him on the cheek. "Go. You could use a break, it'll be a long day tomorrow." She winked at him. "Doctor's orders."  

[Zahzi]

"...Right." James sighed, making his way out of the room.
"...Good night, Sylfa." he told her as he left.

The next morning, Jarid was already in the common room, going over his equipment and armor.
"Frags...Check. Rifle...Check. Mister Killingsworth...Check." he droned on, tapping on the blade of a rather grisly-looking knife for the third item..

It didn't take long before Cyrene went into the room slinging a bag over her shoulder. She raised a brow as soon as she saw Jarid going over his things. "Guess it doesn't hurt to be prepared, huh?" She said before Sylfa followed after, stretching. "Thank you, Cy for carrying those things for me." She smiled at her.

"Hm, oh it's no problem," Cyrene said, nonchalantly as she turned over to her. "I'm used to carrying things for people for most of the time."  

[Zahzi]

"Well, I don't have awesome powers like you, so I need my fun bag of tricks to stay alive." Jarid smirked, before he began looking through his pack frantically.
"Where is it!? Where, where where WHERE WHERE WHE- Oh, there it is." he went from panicked to calm within moments as he pulled out a large, solid black ball.

"Thought I lost youuu~" he cooed.

James only gave a sigh, watching Jarid.

"He's never grown up I see." Jack grunted, shaking his head at Jarid.

"Ey, ey.....Shut up." he told them, pointing at the two.
"I'M HOLDING ONTO THE MOTHER OF ALL SHITSTORMS HERE. I DON'T WANNA HEAR IT."

Cyrene folded her arms and raised a brow. "You're not think about blowing up the whole place, are you...?" With that, Sylfa laughed, again. She arched a brow and frowned. "What?" The older woman smiled. "Oh nothing...I just remembered that last time I went to your house...your brothers are so fun to be with."

The blue haired woman gave her a look that says otherwise. "I think he and Seth could get along. I think Sage would like him too." She smirked. "Oh yeaaah, sure...I'm sure Jarid wouldn't mind being his new punching bag for the rest of his life." She laughed.

((Cyrene: Jarid, if you manage to last 1 week with my brothers, I'll consider your offer.))  

[Zahzi]

(( J: "I may or may not be suffering a concussion from LAST time. Which offer was that again..?" ))

"As a wise man once said." Jaird said, holding a finger in the air.
"There is no problem that cannot be seen through with a large enough payload of high explosives." he said with a goofy grin.

"Only you say that." James grunted.

"'CUZ I'M WISE." Jarid retorted.

"No. You're an idiot. This is meant to be a battle of fists. Not detonation."

(( ********' will-draining job... ))
"Sshhaaadaaap..." Jarid told them, before looking at Cyrene.
"Boss told me about your siblings. They sound fun." he smiled.
"I used to have three brothers and two sisters." he told her, still going through his pack after putting the bomb away.

Both James and Jack merely looked away. Both knew where this ended.

((Cyrene: "Come here." *whispers to him about that kind of offer*))

Cyrene suddenly found this a bit awkward, she rubbed her arm. "W-well...they can be a handful at times." She didn't know what to say. "But, well...they're there when you need them." In spite of what she said, the tone of her voice sounded unsure. Sylpha was quickly grasping the heaviness of the atmosphere. This is not how one should start the day.

She clapped her hands together. "So, let's get moving, we wouldn't want them to wait now, would we?" She gave them a sincere smile, subtly asking them to play along and almost like a switch, Cyrene reverted back to her normal self. "Right, I'm sure we wouldn't want Gerald to wait losing money with all the betting he'll be doing later on."

[Zahzi]

(( J: "OH WELL IF YOU'RE OFFERING IT, THEN YEAH!!" ))

"Yeah, let's go see the a*****e in person." Jarid snickered, finishing his inspection and putting the supplies on his back as he stood up. It was unclear whether or not he was playing along, or just full-out ignored how most would deal with the situation. But it was Jarid, so it could have been idiocy.

"Are you sure you don't want us to come?" James asked, raising an eyebrow as he motioned between himself and Jack.

Cyrene arched a brow as she looked back at Jack. "The old dog not into it?" She asked as starts carrying Sylpha's equipment. "It'd be a great opportunity to know the people you're working with."
