"Awesome. I'm with a kid."
Oiwa said. No disappointment or amusement tint in her voice as if she was stating a fact. Honestly, Oiwa wasn't a big fan of kids but then again she had met some kids that could kick her a** hands down. Once he started to gather his stuff, Oiwa placed her free hand on her leg as she pushed herself up and kept her grip on her halberd. "You might want to grab that too." She gestured towards the backpack that was resting by him. She had hers too when she emerge from the crystal. "Oiwa. And I appeared here the same way you did, the whole crystal crap. Is there a possibility that you know where we are?" She questioned, grey hues glanced around the surrounding for any signs of wildlife or at least edible plants. Like there would be in this freezing a** of a place. Maybe checking out that place won't be too bad, moss are temporary edible. "Guess it doesn't really matter. We need to find some food before the sun set and try to find shelter. You in or you gonna try to be on your own? I suggest the former." The female said matter of factly.

                                                                          Current Attire: Warm, snug, and thick clothes

Thundra would look at the backpack that Oiwa pointed at, looking through it and put it on and nodded slowly as a sign of appreciation. Thundra was quite mature for someone his age and decided to ignore what would have mad someone his age, well, upset. "We don't have to necessarily worry about shelter. I've got a tent in here that looks big, enough for the two of us," he'd pause and chuckle. "... unless, you know, you want to sleep out in the cold instead of sharing the same tent as a child." Retorts were in his nature, and he tried his best to put it where it was needed. Thundra then looked around as he continued speaking to Oiwa. "We need to find some supper first and an area to place our tent," he continued and pointed in the direction in an area that had been dense with trees - enough to where if one were standing behind them or had set up a came there, the only thing that would give the position away is smoke from fire or, quite obviously, loud noises. "There seems like a good place, no? I'm willing to take suggestions." He'd lower his finger and hit his staff against the ground before speaking once more. "Oh, and by the way," he gave a warm smirk. "My name is Thundra. Thundra Senju." He said it with a proud tone; the remembrance of the Senju heroes he's heard about made him proud to be one.

Oiwa couldn't help but to look at him in annoyance. She may be older, but she does do her best to try to respect anyone unless they had a reason for her not to respect them. His mouth was one of them so far. Luckily for her, she had her own tent so there was no way that she was going to sleep with him. With an exhale, she glanced up towards the tree and shook her head. "Thundra, I refuse to 'set up." Blunt was one of her charms. "I rather try to find a more stable shelter such as caves and rocks. So we wouldn't be out in the open like this. Or keep moving south," She glanced to where the sun would be without actually looking at it to harm her eyes, "The faster we get to south, the warmer it can be as well more opportunity to hunt game or forage for food." She sighed deeply and glanced at the area where he thought would be a good area. "Then again, the trees can protect us from the storm if it happens. It would be hard to find something dry to start a fire that's not wet. Wet wood doesn't give up much heat."

She exhaled as a cold breath could been seen. "I say we keep moving south while the sun is up and then find something then. While we are moving, we can look for tracks and food, as well sounds of running water." She glanced towards him. She hated the cold. With a passion. Enough for her wanting to keep moving. Maybe if they get out of the forest, they could look for mountains or anything with rocky areas to be able to find a proper and better shelter than their so called tents.

"Rocks, you say?" Thundra would smile. "Oh, alright. Let's go with your plan." Thundra said comically. He was a Wood Style user, which ultimate meant he contained Water and Earth styles. He would essentially be in his preferred domain.. despite him knowing one single Earth style jutsu. He would point his staff south, gesturing Oiwa to take lead. "We may find berries on the way, so please keep your eyes peeled. Also, don't touch anything you aren't familiar with."

_______________The Narrator Whispers... ||
Give the fairly freshly fallen snow, there wasn't a whole lot readily obvious in an attempt to forage. The ground was covered, and given the temperature, it was unlikely many plants were thriving. Although dry from the winter, bark was always a rather tasteless option. Besides that, there was a fairly common shrub that had whitish berries hanging from them. Upon closer look, they almost seemed to have a layer of frost on them, running up the stem to where the clusters met the branch. It was not a fruit either would be familiar with.

The only other thing of note was the occasional rabbit trail, and some birdsong, although none of these animals were currently in sight.

Thundra would begin to make his way though the dense forest, picking the white berries from the shrubs he had passed by. He was assured that they weren't poisonous at all, from the knowledge he had in identifying such. All of the berries he would collect would be placed in his backpack. The rabbit trail was noticeable, but due to lack of tools and whatnot, it was better to just leave it alone. Thundra would walk until he came into a clearing - one that lead to more trees, shrubs and deeper into the forest. However, afore the forest was a mountain. Not a skyscraper or anything of the sort, just a normal mountain, about 2-3 stories high, just about towering over the trees in the forest, right on the outskirts of the ongoing forest. It lead downward to the forest, through Thundra's own observation. With this, the young boy made way to the mountain, all the while observing his surroundings and making sure there wasn't anybody else there but him. Why? Well, because... there just wasn't.

Upon reaching the mountain, which seemed larger up close than it did when he was a ways out, Thundra would scale it up and down with his eyes. It seemed possible to climb.. but would he want to? He was told that heat rises, but he also knew that temperature drops at lower elevations. Then again, the mountain wasn't that big to begin with. He shook his head and stabbed his staff in the snow-covered ground. He would then weave hand seals as the certain area of the mountain in front of him began shifting. Thundra would use his first and only jutsu to manipulate his terrain, just as he would use this mountain to create a shelter for himself. The rocky upclimb of the mountain suddenly became climbable, with only a few flight of mountain-stairs that led up to the opening Thundra had created - hollowing out an entrance at the top of the few flight of stairs he had shaped that reached about 20 feet in length, from the wall to the entrance, 15 feet from one side of the wall to the other and 20 feet from ceiling to the floor. Pulling his staff from the ground as he began ascending towards his new shelter. "Well," he said. "One thing is settled - now all I need to worry about is how I'll find water for my needs; I smell bad and I'm thirsty." His backpack wasn't that heavy, but still had important things in it. That's when he began to unpack everything, pulling out his tent to set up.

"Right, so let's see.." Thundra would finish setting up his tent after a stint, eventually beginning to set up and organize it. His blanket was spread out, which he used as a mattress. He was always told to sleep on a flat surface, as sleeping with a pillow would do spinal damage. Speaking of which, he shuddered a bit. A sign of him being a bit cold since taking off his robe and only wearing his undershirt and shorts. "Probably not the best idea, Thundra," he said to himself while putting his robe back on. "Much better," he sighed while beginning to eat a few of the white berries. He thought it would be better to go out and find fresh water, albeit it would probably be cold lest he found a way to burn it, to take care of himself. He could not stand anything correlated to filth. Regardless, he would take a few berries with him and leave his staff and take his katana with him, exchanging their places in his tent he set up. Finding a bucket or something even bigger to carry water in would be delightful in the odds of this young nomad. He would begin to walk out of the cave and walk down the flight of stairs. As he got to the bottom, Thundra would weave hand seals to bring down part of the mountain upon the entrance so nothing would enter inside, as well as covering the flight of steps to remove any sign of entry or residence of all sorts. With this, he made his way east of the mountain to look for a source of water.

[So sorry for the wait ; u ; ]

The moment you touched the white berries with an ungloved hand, you would feel a chilling sensation, almost as if you were touching ice. Maybe the berries were just frozen in the cold? Regardless it was chilly enough to leave frostnip, a reddened, numbing sensation, on the parts of your hand that touched the berries.

Nothing impacted your way as you sought out a place to set up camp. Despite manipulating the ground, much of the earth was still frozen and very cold to lay on, but it was better than nothing. However, if you still decided to eat the berries, as you bit down into one, your mouth was filled with a white hot burning--but in a way that it was freezing, not hot, almost like you had put dry ice in your mouth.

Running through the forest with hopes of finding a water source due to the uncanny burning within his mouth from the white berries he had consumed. "I need to find water, and fast!" Thundra exclaimed. He would pass by the white berries and scoff, and spitting at them. "Goddamn berries. I'm going to burn you all to the ground when given half the chance." He would continue to run for about a minute or so before eventually running into a river, about the size of half an acre in size. He would notice it was frozen. "Oh, for ******** sake. This stupid ******** forest, man." He would speak with a low, aggravated tone with clear sign of him being infuriated. He would weave hand signs and place his hands to the ground as he thought of a brilliant plan. He would create a wave of earth that would travel towards the frozen river and send it crashing downwards into the river until it reached the bottom. That same wave of earth would be commanded to stay at the bottom of the river. The impact of the wave caused the river to become unfrozen; the ice breaking and what remains floating at the top, eventually melting into water that was the river. "Well, now that I've done that... how will I get the water?" He'd shake his head and head back to the mountain where his shelter had been in. "At least I tried," Thundra would walk with his hands behind his back. "I'll need to find another way to get this water back home," he said as he backtracked to the river, pushing the water away quickly with his hand to try his best attempt to get any particles away from the area he had wanted to drink from and would pick up water with his hands, sipping it. He'd make sure it didn't hit his teeth and would take only a few sips, as the water was freezing cold. He'd then truly make way to his shelter in the mountain west of where he was.

The water was indeed cold, but pure mountain water that hadn't seen pollution for a very long time. It was definitely worth the trouble, despite the stirred dirt beneath the surface from breaking the ice. In fact, it may well have been the best water you'd ever tasted.

However, the journey back to your earthen home was quiet--almost too quiet. The birds had stopped singing. And yet, there didn't appear to be anything of concern within sight. Still, you couldn't escape the feeling you were being watched.

_______________Another Awakening... ||
For what seemed like eternity, but at the same time no time at all, Ayura floated in darkness. He could vaguely recall himself, who he was, and what he was, as if a voice had guided him along that path to remembrance, but the voice itself faded away like it had never existed to begin with. All is at peace, at rest in the comforting embrace of the abyss, until a crack splits the air, resounding in the nothingness. With it came light and humidity as it slowly spider-webbed outward. Then it shattered altogether and he was released from his prison, where he fell to the cold earth, strength not immediately returning to his limbs. This weakness would only last a brief moment before he was filled with energy that could have kept him going for what felt like days, fulling rested and at his prime.

Ayura would find himself surrounded by white, untouched snow, marred only by shards of smokey glass, enough of it to more than coat a human body. The snow beneath you is as chilly as the air, which immediately nips at exposed skin. Trees litter the hilly landscape, in some places sparse and others tightly packed. While there is some undergrowth, most has been covered by perhaps a recent storm. And the world is hauntingly quiet under the evening sky. However, as the thunderous sound of his emersion fades into nothing, and he finds himself in a world that is...too quiet.

_______________And in Response... ||
In the heavy silence that had fallen over the forest, a thunderous crack could be heard somewhere not too far off, almost like the shattering of glass. The sound is almost familiar, though whether or not Thundra recognizes it is yet to be determined. Regardless, despite the way it echos through the trees, he can tell it comes from somewhere to his northwest. Will he investigate?

Water is nothing if not ingemination

So this….this is death. The thought flickered across his mind before racing away, hiding amongst the inky darkness that filled every crevice of this space. From the outside, it was another crystal with another human being trapped on the inside. Ayura though felt like he was in the middle of the raging ocean. Every second was a war, as with cupped palms and hurried breaths Ayura desperately struggled to stay afloat amongst the ruin sweeping around him. Grim odds though are sometimes too severe to overcome on some occasions. With tears burning in his eyes and every fiber in his body screaming for release the endless beating of the waves grasped him in their embrace; welcoming him to the depths.

Drowning truly is a terrifying prospect. With fire your entire body feels alight, the searing agony is all consuming before eventually it’s replaced by numbness and at last you pass. Starvation is this growing ache, slowly evolving until it’s all encompassing maw devours which ever poor soul must suffer that fate. Drowning though denies the body of one of its primary resources: air. In a desperate attempt to stabilize itself, the body begins to inhale violently in the hopes to grab some ounce of this vital substance. Yet in the end it just ends up killing itself, consuming more of the substance that denied it any ounce of relief. As the tar-like substance began the unavoidable process of claiming Ayura as another poor victim, all his fighting was futile. The more he clawed at his throat with frenzied fingers, consumed massive quantities of this substance, and began to pointlessly kick outward Ayura inwardly screamed begging for a moment of respite. It lasted forever, the drowning never ended and he felt every ounce of himself die before eventually he stopped. Ayura let go.

In that moment of release, the terror that had once filled him was dispelled and replaced with an unexpected somber sensation of peace. The pressure of this space seemed to lighten and Ayura felt like he was floating, drifting in some endless vacuum. Whatever fight he had before or fear of what was to come slowly dissipated from his body as he relaxed and embodied the realization that this was it. Time slipped buy, meaninglessly and effortlessly. It was hard to tell time when every aspect of it was just out of his reach. Yet some quantity of time later there was a light. As he gazed upward his bleak dreaminess was interrupted by a glow. There was a tenderness to it. In so many instances this new intrusion seemed disruptive but it brought with itself a warmth that permeated the entire space. As the light grew and spider webbed outward, Ayura tentatively reached out to grasp at it before being met with an explosion of white light.

Ayura blinked a few times, as his ears began ringing from the magnitude of the explosion. Gradually it dimmed until eventually it faded into nothing, replaced by the cry of an occasional animal or the rustle of plant life. Indeed while his vision remained white, Ayura slowly realized he hadn’t gone blind but was instead lying in a region clothed in a heavy blanket of snow. The more he lay in that position, the more he felt the fresh white outer coat of the snow melt away, gradually soaking him in the chilling slush that made the hair on his neck rise and his teeth began to clatter. ”This. Is. Real?” Every word took a mountain of energy to bring forth, as if his body had forgotten how to speak in its entirety. The formation of lips and the gentle caress his tongue made against his teeth to create the difference between consonants and vowels was like moving a stick through a bottle of molasses. Even those three barely audible words had a slight slur to them but they were words. They were real. That realization sent a shock of energy through him, electrifying every part of his body as Ayura sluggishly dug his hands into the thick snow and lifted himself onto hands and knees. Yet as he began to push himself backwards he lost his balance. After being in whatever he had been for so long it seemed his strength had yet to return. He plummeted forward and barely caught himself before his face plummeted into the ground.

There was a stabbing sensation that drew his attention though. A dull pan that was beginning to grow more and more profound as it travelled up his left arm. Gently lifting his arm, Ayura saw that the snow had been dyed a deep crimson beneath the indentation his palm had left within it. Rotating his hand, a jagged piece of crystal had dug itself into the flesh just to the inside of his thumb. With meticulous effort, the piece of crystal was extracted began his blood began to flow anew. Carving a new stream as it filled a pool in his palm then trickled down his forearm, widening before dripping off his elbow into the darkening snow beneath. Watching this process, Ayura felt an unexpected joy bubble up from within. Meager at first but cascading outward, a warbled chuckle escaped his lips before compounding into a laugh that seemed to rupture whatever silence was left. Clutching his now bleeding hand, Ayura licked the corners of his lips as he tasted the salt laden tears that had begun streaming down his face. “I’m .....alive? I’m alive. I'm alive!” That one simple muttering became an exclamation as with uneasy steps, Ayura stood up and braced himself against the tree as he felt sensation return to both of his legs. Freedom. Fury. Excitement. Eagerness. All of these swept through him as he deliberately grabbed every piece of equipment that had once been his into a pack along with a handful of whatever the crystal remains surrounding him were. Binding his hand with a cloth, Ayura then raised his eyes now alert, seeking a clue on where fate wanted to bring him next.

an encore to the tenacity of life.

                                                            Mi-jin watched as Buki lifted kumiho into his arms and Mi-jin place both hands on Buki shoulder and held on as she wrapped her legs around his metal waist. Pulling herself a little upward to get herself comfortable on Buki back. Looking over her shoulders, she could only see darkness before she pressed her face into the back of Buki neck.

                                                            Mi-jin was a little more prepared for the sudden burst of movement. When they stopped at the edge of a forest, Mi-jin looked over Buki shoulder. “Waa, Oppa? Thank you.” Mi-jin patted his shoulder as she gently lets him know that she wants to get down.

                                                            As her feet finally touch the ground, Mi-jin pulled her jacket tighter around her frame. Thanks to the forgiving and providing moon that she was able to find a jacket. The winds and temperature have not been kind. She would have froze if not for the winter clothes.

                                                            “I don’t know where we are, but maybe we can find a village?” Mi-jin suggested as she looked at Buki to Kumiho. “Kumiho how you feelin' girl?” Mi-jin asked, reaching to pet the fox head, trying to soothe any ache.

Ignoring and completely forgetting about the feeling of him being watched, Thundra would run towards the thunderous, crackling sound. He'd jump on trees and above the treetops as the snow from the leaves would dissipate and disperse as Thundra leaped past the canopy. He would stop for a moment and look around. He would find his mountainous home to his west and glance down to see the river he had found, which was clearly east. However, the sound he heard came from the north, and he was faced to the south. He glanced backwards and leaped north atop the canopies. He glanced to the right of him to the edge of the forest where he saw a few figures standing a distance away and would analyze them quickly before leaping towards the sound he had heard.

He would hear a voice and stop immediately before slowly climbing down the top of a tree unto its higher branch. He would focus plenty of chakra on his feet so he could hang upside down when he chose to. After observing the boy get ready to go, he would hang upside down and cross his arms. "Hey! Where do you think yer goin', fella?" he'd smirk at the boy and chuckle a bit.
