A) Opening the tanks, you breathe a sigh of relief. A blast of cold air hits you in the face. Not only are these tanks insulated, they’re temperature controlled. Fortunately, the drought has dried out the contents of the cool containers, and you can hop in and rest up. The party rests and does not advance.

B) You manage to jump to the opposite of the pit, but are just short of the tunnel. Fortunately, your semi-successful jump got you a some distance, and with a vantage-point of your destination. You make your way down into the bottom of the pit. Your team advances.

C) You start to carefully make your way across the edge of the pit, but the heat is a palpable distraction. Sweaty palms and obscured vision make for a torturous journey, which ends abruptly mid-journey when you slip and slide into the pit. It’s a long way down. Ouch. The party loses 1 HP.

D) Climbing down the shaft on this side of the pit is a challenge. However, the drop is a relief from the heat. Your team takes their time and you make your way to the bottom floor unscathed. Your team advances.

You stumble into the dark depths of the caves – each group caught in the winding tunnels. The heat of the desert is gone, and the moisture in the air has returned. A long walk later, and the path ahead is soon obscured by thick muggy haze. It’s a familiar feeling, reminiscent of the Brooding Caverns. In fact, it seems a little too similar for comfort. As the party proceeds, the feeling of being prey once again emerges with a hissing noise emerging from the fog. Something slithers underfoot, obscured by the mist. What do you do?

A) Your first instinct, which is to scream as loud as possible!
B) Book it as fast as you can down the tunnel, hoping to lose whatever it was.
C) Attempt to stomp out whatever it is that’s sliding around your feet.
D) Stand perfectly still…

Nervit smiled as Reemus appeared to cheer up a little. That was good. They hadn't spent much time together, but Nervit did like the strange little troll. However, that liking went straight downhill when she realised what he was attempting to do. He was going to leap the pit? WORSE. HE WAS GOING TO LEAP THE PIT WHILST HOLDING ONTO HER.

Nervit was too shocked to respond quickly ; by the time she said anything, she'd already kicked off the edge of the pit and was halfway through the air. She yelped, reaching out for the edge of the pit and kicking her little legs. Whether it was this or Reemus help pulling her along or just plain LUCK, the pair arrived at the other side of the pit, where Nervit immediately checked Pyredad was still attached to her horn - he was, though he immediately let loose a torrent of squeaking that suggested he was very displeased with the jump action.

"We made it, though." Nervit commented to her lusus, and continued to walk along the corridor, where things started to get mistier and mistier. Nervit tucked her jumper tighter around herself worriedly, and started to walk closer to Sinter.

"It's um. It's creepy down here."

Which is of course when the group heard the hissing. Nervit, wide-eyed, looked to the others for guidance.

Alexin grinned brightly at Tamiya from the pat on the head, and the rest in the tanks was a welcome relief. They didn't (quite) fall asleep, but they did rest their eyes a little as they leant into the soft plumage of their lusus (who took up most of the large tank on their own!) who hooted softly, one head keeping watch whilst the other preened Alexin's hair, paying special attention to the cerulean streak. Alexin flailed a little because it was embarrassing to be preened in front of others, but unfortunately one small troll was no match for a determined giant two-headed owl lusus.

As the group moved on, Alexin stuck closer and closer to their lusus. This was....creepy, to say the least. And then their was hissing. Alexin paused, and spoke.

"It's not just me hearing that...right?"

Their voice was quiet with a slight waver.

CHOICE B

After Zindel gave his input the first time, he had decided to let the rest of his team decide, only occasionally giving a small "okay" or whatever. When Etsali lost her lusus in the rush of the moment, Zindel honestly didn't understand how she was feeling— his lusus left him all the time, it wasn't such a big deal. What a wriggler, he thought as they arrived to the pit. Hearing their option, Zindel followed along with what they'd said, actually not minding if he left his team member— before feeling fear grab at his insides. They were... really high up. s**t... he thought, vision blurring from fear, body beginning to tremble— and then suddenly, his foot stepped in the wrong place and slipped off, a sudden feeling of weightlessness overcoming him.

With a loud shriek, Zindel fell into the pit, Wrenmom flying after him, wanting to help but powerless to do so. He felt weightless for a second, eyes wide in fear, body getting closer and closer to the ground— only to land on the rough ground with a loud 'thwump'. All the air in him was shoved out, and Zindel curled into himself, pain attacking him at all places. He wanted to leave. He wanted to go to his stupid group hive, he wanted to stay SAFE, away from this stupid danger. With a wail of anger, Zindel lay on his side, squeezing his eyes shut and beginning to feel them tear up in anger. Everything was so ******** stupid, he hated this so much, ********...!

Taking a few seconds to breathe, Zindel looked up at the ledge they had been walking on and groaned. How the hell were they going to get back up?! Not only that, but... How could he escape this stupid cave? His bitterness kept piling up, silent smirk turned into a big frown, eyes angry and panicked. He wasn't about to spend anymore extra time in this stupid cave. Wrenmom was fluttering near him, pecking his injuries in annoyance, prompting him to shoo her away in anger. "W-we— we need to leave, we need to leave this place." This was becoming too much for him— but unfortunately the place where they'd fallen didn't have another path other than the one in front of them, even if he was to risk himself to go up the same ledge. With a set jaw, he looked to the others and pointed. "This is too dangerous... Let's go. Please." He felt miserable, s**t...

After they got over the pain, they headed over on the only path available(with Zindel being the one ahead— any chance he'd get, he leave this shithole). After walking for sometime, feeling the air become pleasantly humid, he... Suddenly heard a hissing. Stopping, Zindel listened for more... Only to feel something slithering and touch him. His eyes dilated with horror, body tensing up almost immediately. Letting out a small 'eep,' Zindel grabbed the nearest troll— The redblood, uh, Ephias— and quickly ran like crazy. NOPE nope nope nope nope nope nope nope NOPE!!!!

MamaJu had watched as Wolly sat down and pretended like there wasn't a serious at hand. Seeing as her own troll child looked upset at the idea of leaving behind a team mate, the large beast trotted closer to the sheep, and much like one would carry a cub she lifted the large beast up like he weighed nothing. Really, she was having none of this taking a nap business, and wanted them to move on. Really of course, all this did was lead to confusion, stress and disorder on top of their falling down into the pit. Scowling she relented in dropping the fluffy lusus in favor of moving to a new spot to stand. She'd only meant well of course, despite what outside observers may have felt (or poor Wolly for that matter). The roarbeast had at least had waited until they were on the ground together before releasing Wolly at least.

Despite the painful landing, the site of her lusus trying to carry the other large creature to try and 'help' had been silly. Voscil had been content to laugh off the dangerous situation as no one was to badly hurt, or lost. After some amount of traveling however, she'd lost her sense of humor. Between Zindel's shriek, the worrisome behavior on Ephias' part, and last but not least Estali's being upset Vos felt uncomfortable. Namely Vos felt uneasy and on edge. Even if they could have fared better, the fact they'd escaped the heat for much milder temperatures was more than acceptable by her account. However, they still were not within sight of finding their end goal.

The moment she watched the two redbloods bolt, she too turned and without thinking grabbed hold of Estali's hand. "C-Come on! Let's go I don't want to stand around there are things down here!" She pulled the orangeblood along at an incredibly quick run speed clip as she went to catch up with the others and now fleeing lusus. So long as it was a chance at getting away from the hissing and things crawling she was more than all in favor. Voscil was so gone like the wind, and just as quickly racing past the pair.

The tightness in his chest loosened when Miache saw how dry the tank was. He didn't want to kick up a fuss.....but the idea of having to hide in a tank that could POTENTIALLY be dusty or.....CONTAMINATED just made him quail. He straightened his suit once again and looked around. Well....looked like the only place to go was the caves....the group headed off towards the dark caves and the little troll shrank in on himself. He didn't like caves.....was that....slime on the walls? Was there stagnant water in puddles? He shied away from the walls and closer to his lusus for protection. This was aweful....he wanted to prove himself a worthy supporter of the empress....but he didn't think this trial would be nearly as bad as it was!

Miache calmed as his lusus wrapped his soothing tail to pull him close. It felt so much safer in his lusus' embrace.....until.....what was that?! Was there.....something.....no. No. No. No.......his breath caught in his throat as he felt something moving around his feet. Was it slimey? Was it some sort of bastardized slug getting its disgusting mucus on his pressed slacks? NO! Hold it together! His gray skin blanched into an awful white-wash as he stood rooted to the spot, eyesglazing over in horror. And just like that his mind shut off like a switch, standing perfectly still and silent in a catatonic state. Keeping it together failed....he couldn't handle the idea of being sullied by anything in such a dank cave.

Climbing down the shaft with a very poofy skirt had been more than a little challenging and Lorata was very convinced that she was in no way going to be repeating the experience any time soon. Her lusus had had no trouble at all drifting down alongside her and it hadn't occurred to her until afterwards that she should have made more use of that. Maybe MeduMa could have held on to her and she could have jumped down, like with a parachute! Or she could have sat on top of the giant jellyfish and used her like an elevator! Maybe? Well whether it would have worked that way or not (her lusus' levitation was still a very mysterious thing), she hadn't thought of it until it wasn't an option, so she was already formulating all sorts of excuses as to why it hadn't been possible, just in case anyone else asked.

Down in the dark, hazy tunnels they found themselves in at the bottom, she finally allowed the relief of escaping the heat to take her mind off the what could have beens. The possibility of a drop had been pretty scary, but that relief began to fade as she realized that these caves were proving themselves to be their own brand of disturbing. What were they going to find down here? What was going to find them? The very moment she had the thought, something slithered over her foot. Acting on pure instinct, the little seadweller reached for the closest troll, Dictys at the moment, latched onto eir arm, and let out a shrill scream.

Perhaps climbing had been a tad more difficult than Dictys had anticipated - but sure enough, the heat faded, and Dictys, pleased, began to smile. Things were looking up! Ey checked to ensure that the entire group was fine with the proceedings, and then continued along the...ick, walls, as Klymen had begun earlier. The tunnels were confusing, and so it was fortunate they were marking them as they passed by. So long as no one else marked the tunnels in the same way, it'd work out, right? No, Dictys could revise that statement: another group using the same method would only tell em that the path had already been explored, if only by someone else. It truly was efficient.

Thus satisfied, Dictys stumbled about with Mommydaddy, who seemed similarly pleased with the proceedings so far. And yet neither of the pair seemed to notice what Lorata was quickly realizing: nothing here was predictable, and the deeper the went, the more lost they seemed to be. A strange haze - almost mistlike, Dictys thought - was emerging, and Dictys looked up. "We should probably head in that direction," ey began thoughtfully. Mist was wet, ergo there might be a water source...right?

No sooner had ey spoken than a tiny hand gripped eir arm, and Dictys would've asked what was going on when something...slimy touched eir foot, and Dictys' own screams amplified Lorata's.

      ∞ Ephias Sagine

Cops and Robbers
Health: 4/5

Ephias was fully prepared to bid his group farewell when out of no where, Voscil's lusus strode over and picked up Wolly in her jaws. For a moment, Ephias felt his blood pusher clench in terror. Wolly in turn bleated and kicked his legs out in a panic. Yet he was unharmed. There was no blood, or cracking of bones. Mamaju held him as gently as she would have her own cubs. Probably more so.

Suddenly Ephias understood. “Th-thank you,” he stammered to the roarbeast, shuffling to his feet. He then attempted to soothe Wolly. “It's all right. You're all right. She's not going to hurt you.” The sheep gave a dismayed bleat. He was not so sure.

Before Ephias could console his guardian further, he heard a startled shriek behind him. He whirled just in time to see Zindel lose his footing and fall into the abyss below. “N-no!” Ephias' body moved of its own accord. He sprinted to the edge and frantically cast about for a handhold. Moments later, he had swung himself over the side and begun his descent.

By some miraculous twist of fate, he somehow managed to avoid slipping until about halfway down, when he lost his footing, then his grip and crashed into the floor, scraping his knee in the process. He groaned and sat up. Aside from some nasty bruises and a couple of small cuts he was fine. He looked around for Zindel.

The other redblood sat a short ways away, nursing his own injuries. Ephias felt a wave of relief wash over him. He had worried that maybe Zindel had not... “Are you all right? Anything b-broken?” Ephias asked. With their current position unknown, such an injury could prove fatal.

Fortunately, Zindel was fine. Physically at least. Emotionally, he was rundown and defeated. Ephias felt a pang of guilt. If he had not suggested that they go around the ridge then this might not have happened. It was dangerous—he had known it would be dangerous—yet he decided to do it anyway.

“First we should tried to locate the main path again,” Ephias conceded. He could not force his teammates to carry on. They came here of their own volition and they could leave by the same. Even if Ephias felt responsible to continue the mission there was no way he could hold everyone else to that.

Once everyone else had descended safely (as much as they could), Zindel took the lead, pursuing the only path. Ephias followed a short ways behind. Zindel had taken the worst fall out of all of them and Ephias wanted to keep an eye on him. Wolly, after expressing his initial annoyance through a series of huffs and stamping, trotted up beside Ephias.

The group had a brief reprieve before trouble struck again... in the form of something slithery and unpleasant. Ephias stiffened, feeling something coil around his ankle. He was about to say something to the others, suggest that they remain calm and try not to attract attention, when Zindel let out another shriek and took off running.

Taking Ephias with him.

Ephias ground his teeth, bearing the physical contact. It was the lesser of the two evils. He only hoped that the mysterious anklebeast would not give chase.

[ Sinter made a flying leap across the chasm. He likely would have never gotten the distance he did if he'd been concerned with anything other than these goddamn kids. Still, it wasn't quite the distance he needed to cross the gap, and he ended up against the wall of the pit near his team. Fuming, but now very much aware of his precarious position on a ledge, Sinter made his way down to the bottom silently.

Sinter made it quite a ways without saying a word. His footsteps clomped along with a harsh jingle. His arms crossed tight against his chest. He didn't even break stride when Lophie caught up to the group, tunneling in unceremoniously through one of the cavern walls. Much like their surroundings, Sinter was steamed.

"What the HELL did you think you were doing!?" He broke suddenly. "That was RECKLESS. That was stupid AND reckless! I do not have a proper vocabulary word capable of stressing how dumb and bad that decision was. What if you hadn't made it?! What if you'd tripped part-way? What if the pit was made of looser dirt!? What if the pit was several times deeper? What if the pit was full of snakes. You couldn't have known that! The fact that we all ended up fine is a miracle. You tried to vault a mysterious crater while towing someone else."

Sinter railed at Reemus, arms flailing, bells jingling. He was making so much noise, caught up in his tirade, he didn't even notice the suspicious slithering rolling across the floor.

Candy Dandies
Eostre&Aandes
3/5 (ouch...)
Choice: following Eostre and picking C!

Aandes was starting to lose his grip. He could see the heat coming off of the pit as the sun bore down on the desert above. "Eostre, I..." He began. His protein chute was dry as a bone. He tried to swallow but found that it was like downing sandpaper, and shuddered with a frightened breath.

In skating - in bicycling - you went too fast to see how far down you could fall. This was slow and tedious. Every choice Aandes had made stuck in the back of his think pan, and it exhausted him. His legs began to give out, and he locked his knees to try to keep himself on the ledge. In doing so however, he stopped moving. He was afraid. He looked over at his lusus for assistance.

Koalapops was awake. Sensing his charge in danger, the lusus slowly brought up one of his slender fingers and grabbed Aandes' hand. They would be okay.

Between feeling like he was boiling alive and the overwhelming sense of vertigo, Aandes lost consciousness. He swayed. His knees gave out first, and with a limp twist he toppled into the pit with Koalapops close behind. If anything, his muscles were relaxed. Rocks and bits of metal clipped him as he fell. A heavy "FWUMPH" and he came to a rest.

Aandes' eyes flickered open when a trickle of water landed on his forehead. He was back home--! No. The greenblood breathed in through his nose. Silt. Moist air. Damp fur. What was that wet...?

Koalapops drinking from his bottle. He gave Aandes a few licks on the forehead, then his hair, and Aandes got to his feet (nearly collapsing once more from the sudden movement). He shivered. It was... Cool down here. Aandes would have savored the bizarre feeling if he wasn't cut in a few places and smarted everywhere else.

"Let's... Go..." He mumbled. He was beyond apologies and being glad he was alive. Koalapops trundled behind him, hoping for a lift, and eventually got one after a couple of pathetic beeps. The three continued their journey.

--

It was a relatively serene walk up until the hazy path. "Looks like we're almost there, with this mist..." commented Aandes. "Do you think --"

His eyes opened wide. Were his ears still ringing from pain, or did he just hear something hiss?

"There's something down there," He quickly furrowed his brow and spun about, ready for action. Tension in his hands spread through his neck and jaw. Aandes was speaking through gritted teeth. No more of this nonsense - he'd scare whatever this was away. A feeling next to his foot spurred a violent reaction.

"NO! No no no!" He yelped, and proceeded to attempt to stomp the life out of whatever was underfoot. Aandes was seeing red. There was no way he'd let some sneaky snake (or whatever it was) play dirty like that.

A) You scream, and the entire tunnel rattles. A thick coil wraps around your ankles and whips you to the ground, hard. After you go silent for a while, the pressure fortunately ceases, and you escape. The party loses 1 HP.

B) The party bursts into a run, and the rustling of whatever is underneath immediately unleashes itself from the cave floor. Your velocity unfortunately does the party no favours, and before you know it a thick coil wraps around your ankles and knocks you down. In the resulting struggle, you manage to flee… However… IF THERE IS A LUSUS IN THE PARTY: You get back to your feet just in time to see your lusus being dragged through the mist, and out of sight. One player’s lusus is now separated permanently from the party. IF THERE IS NOT A LUSUS IN THE PARTY: The party loses 1 HP.

C) You feel the long creature under your feet as you go at it with due force. After you fight for a while, you hear a hiss that recedes down the tunnel, giving you the opportunity to run away. The party advances.

D) The party is filled with tension. Quiet signals to members of the party and deep breaths assure the calm before the storm, but the storm never comes. The mist clears somewhat, revealing plant life and algae starting to flourish in the caves, and even a damp sheen on the ground. You walk carefully and slowly from here on, avoiding danger but stalling the group. The party rests and does not advance.

As the mist clears, the shine on the ground turns into small, shallow puddles. Lichen grows thicker on the walls and floor. It’s a veritable tractionless wiggler glide mat in here! The tunnel drops again in altitude, and you have a good chance of losing your balance on the slick surface. You’re being pursued, and need to get out fast – but in one piece. How do you proceed?

A) Lay down and go with the algae flow by body-sliding down the tunnel!
B) Get a foothold by stepping in the puddles on the way down.
C) Grab onto the lichen to help keep your balance as you walk down the tunnel.
D) Join hands with your teammates to lower yourselves down the tunnel.

They made it! They! Made it! They were the action heroes! Reemus was so pleased. Yes, his legs were almost a little too short to stick the landing, but hey, all's well that end's well. "Guess we're not gonna burn today, mate," Reemus said with a wink to Nervit after making sure the both of them had their feet on the ground. After making sure Sinter had made it, too, he ignored the redblood's stony silence, and continued on with Nervit. He didn't even notice much when she started sticking closer to Sinter; Reemus was too distracted by the mist around them, and the growing fog cover. And it sure started to smell musty. Blugh. It was cooler, at least.

Nervit started to mutter something, making Reemus look her way. He froze as he heard something...else. Reemus and Nervit both caught the hissing at the same time, it seemed. Luckily, too, since that's right when Sinter blew a gasket all of a sudden.

"Wha-" Reemus's hands went up in defense as the redblood loomed over him, flipping out, screaming, ruining any little bit of pride Reemus had left for the time being. And something slithered over Reemus's feet. "Mate-" Towards Sinter, with the direction it moved over him, and how the hissing went from one side of his head to the other. "MATE-" But Sinter wasn't listening. All this noise was apparently sending this thing the taller boy's way, from what Reemus could figure.

It would be nice, maybe, to shut this ungrateful lowerblooded troll up, and by karma of terrible timing, but Reemus was still responsible for everyone. Gritting his teeth, he ran over to Sinter and pushed him over, just in time for the slitherer to coil up around the space Sinter had just been. And now where Reemus was in his place. The grip tightened around his ankles, lifted him a little, and whumped him onto the ground, rattling his jaw as it hit first before anything else. Reemus let out a sharp yelp, and followed it up with a soft, soft whimper. But he could hear the thing still lurking, so swallowed the noise for a little bit. Anything to avoid another whallop. The thing was still wrapped around him, after all. And he was so, so sore...

Eventually, after what felt like sweeps of tension, the creature finally let up and slipped away. Reemus slowly got to his feet, wincing at the aches and pains all over. The ground had not been kind to the bottom of his feet, nor his body, now. He turned to Sinter, tired and annoyed, "Ya bloody well done now, mate?" Then he hobbled off, taking point in case the thing came back. Reemus was almost hoping for it, if only for a chance to take a bite or two out of the creature. He cycled between grunts and whimpers as he walked off the pain. Crikey, would it be nice if Woofmum were here right now. He could nuzzle into her fur and sound a little less weak, maybe. But she was gone, one of his team mates was livid about his successful choice, and his feet were aching from the poor decision he made earlier. The night, well, day now, was not looking as up as he'd hoped. At least his pack was in one piece.

...What was the redblood's name anyhow? He kept forgetting to ask. Whoops. No wonder the guy was ticked.

Meanwhile, the smell was just getting worse. As Reemus trudged forward, greenery popped up on the walls more and more. That explained a lot; the smell was all this algae! And soon it was EVERYWHERE. Reemus prodded at some with his foot. Ope, yup, slippery. "Don't step on this stuff if you can help it," he called to his team. "You'll be in fer a whallop if ya ain't careful, mates." But up ahead, it was unavoidable. If they wanted to keep going, they'd have to go on the slippery stuff. No ifs, ands, or buts.

He wanted to just get through that part as quick as possible, but he didn't want to be screamed at again. So he looked back at Sinter. "We gotta do somethin' stupid again, mate, but might as well do it together. Who knows what's down there, eh?" He held out his hands to his packmates, wincing a little at what the action did to his ribs. "Please trust me on this one." Instead of just running ahead (this time anyways), he was trying to get everyone on board. That counted for something, right?

With a scream, Zindel fell forward, letting go of Ephias and KNOWING it was because he stopped to grab him that he was caught. Damnit, damnit, DAMNIT! He tugged at his feet, trying to pull them off-- and when he finally did, he looked up to hear the fluttering around his head disappear. W... what? Eyes wide, they darted around fearfully until he saw the small white bird being dragged away. Clenching his jaw, Zindel almost ran back to get her-- when he realized this was her sacrifice-- she was doing this so he could leave. He quickly ran away, biting back the tears that wanted to bud in his eyes-- oh, great. Just great. His talking s**t about his companions in his mind must've done this. Just great.

He kept running until his bare feet finally landed in water, each stepping into small puddles on the ground and stopping for a second, wanting to catch his breath. Karma's a b***h... Refraining himself from tearing up, Zindel sighed. These stupid lsui. SSTUPID trolls...

The tunnel was vibrating. Wide-eyed, Dictys clung to Lorata in turn and felt something thick and strange around eir ankles, yanking so that both seadwellers fell to the ground in unison. They were caught; they were caught! Wasn't it supposed to be empty here? Was this the lusus of someone in a cleanup crew? Were they taking Dictys' lusus? Dictys let go of the littler troll's arm and fished around for Mommydaddy, who - thankfully - was still perched on Dictys' neck. Slowly, eir screams subsided, but the grip around eir ankles did - oh.

Oh, there it went. Perhaps ey wasn't supposed to be screaming. Ey glanced at Regina and Klymen as if daring them to say something, and then ey remembered - Regina was the queen. It was within her right to comment on it. Klymen was just a few hues down herself. Well, either way. Dictys drew emself up again. "Right. Let's...keep heading in that direction," ey said, glancing nervously over eir shoulder. That...thing was alert to their presence now. They really did have to move fast.

The mist slowly began to clear as they did, to reveal shallow puddles and lichen in more and more numerous amounts. Oceanic things! Dictys greeted them with delight - because they were familiar, after all. And yet the 'foliage' (was there a better term for it?) was much slipperier than anticipated when they were above water. Thinking quickly, ey turned to the walls. "We've been using plants to keep track of our location anyway - perhaps grabbing the lichen as we go would allow us to move along more quickly and steadily?"

Without waiting for a response, Dictys stumbled over to do just that. They needed to get away from...whatever that was.

Health: 4/5
Lusus: 2/4 (Lost Wrenmom)
Choice A

Voscil hadn’t expected yet another lusus to go missing. Her gaze shifted to the redblood whom had just witnessed Wrenmom be dragged off. “ Wow... Um. Hey, we’ll find her dude don’t worry.” Even if she wasn’t really sure he was all that upset, it didn’t really matter. He hadn't spoken too much since the small bird vanished, that much was apparent and obvious which she could get behind. Trying to read finer social queues in a situation like this escaped the yellowblood without a doubt. She didn't try inspecting him any closer and kept pace moving with the group. Voscil at least held out hope they'd find both now missing lusus in another location.

As they ran, the sound of puddles caught her attention. All the lichen growing added to a rather eerie scene Voscil had to admit. She was glad for sneakers, as the water was in various locations. The lichen growing couldn’t have been fun to have squish between ones toes either at a time like this anyway. “At least we got past the weird ankle grabbers. Oh, it looks like the mist is clearing up. Vos squinted, covering her brows with a hand as she arched up on her toes as she tried to get a look see ahead. It was evident they couldn't stay here much longer. With her heartbeat racing, Voscil looked down over the edge of the sharp drop.

Pursing her lips together, she rubbed her foot over the slippery surface. Much to her amusement it looked like it would be easy enough to travel. Although standing up seemed absurd judging by the looks of things she concluded. Thinking quickly, Voscil sat down and scooted closer to the edge. Peering down the slippery slope again, as she double checked what was ahead she then looked back at the redblood Zindel. She reached over and grabbed for him. ”No time to stop now. Let’s go! We'll go sliding and see where that takes us~!” They’d just have to rush the situation. No sense in passing up a perfectly good sliding opportunity. Nothing could go wrong with a plan like that right?

Scooting forward and tugging Zindel right along with she began the slide and slip trip. “All aboard!” she called excitedly, waving for the rest of her team to follow despite the obvious potential danger. Voscil gave a shout of excitement as they began their trip. Hearing MamaJu sigh and follow reluctantly after did nothing to dampen her spirits at that exact moment.
