"I would've already been on my merry way, and this wouldn't have happened. But wet fur helps hide scents. I've been up by that she-wolf's den, even inside it, when nobody's there. My first day here several moons ago, I was soaking wet and you walked right on by without the hint of noticing me. Throughout that time of a few moons, I have ran through your territory to the cliffs on the far side, and searching the grass for rabbits. You would think this wouldn't be the first time you would've seen me." She lowered her paw, and still watched him carefully. She stood and decided to shake off, then soon sat back down. She shook her head a bit more to get water out of her ears.

"Like I said, I don't normally acknowledge Omegas and you got a little too close. I won't make this a habit but since you've gone by so seamlessly I'll forget I saw you today." He sat on his haunches and pawed his face getting the water shaken from Marlo's coat off.

"Maybe you should start. The small things are the things that could end you." She said standing doing a sly look then walking off back into the tall grass.

Javette parted from the area after letting Marlo go thinking on what she had said as a threat to something else he may have overlooked.

She knew he warning would make him ponder things, but on her walk back to her small hideout, she could sense someone was also smelling her on the air. She knew she would have to follow her own advice, she had lost too much overlooking the small things, she hoped nothing would be like that again.

Javette comes to his den finding it occupied with new wolves. "What the!? THis is MY HOME!" He snarls preparing to defend his den.

Barely walking into her den, she heard snarls in the distance. She turned around quickly to see what was going on. And that they weren't coming for her.

Javette padded his way from the cave entrance with a vexed whine as patched of torn fur hung from his front paws and side.

Trying to rest wasn't going to work after hearing the snarls. Marlo got up and didn't think to soak herself, she ran into the tall grass. She could smell blood in the air, and it was close. Less than a few feet, she saw Javette, he was hurt.

Javette held in the urge to whine for help. Something he had alot of control over by this point, as he made his way to the water. The injured brute settled on his belly in the water letting the cool water run through his wounds as he licked them clean. Every once in a while the wolf checked skeptically for any other threat to come after him as the water began to run red.

Marlo saw that it was safe and went back to her perch on the ridge above the river. She laid down crossing her front paws, knowing that her warning had come true. "I see you finally noticed the small things. Please don't ruin the water either I drink from that." She said watching him closely as he licked his wounds.

Javette's tail flickers disregarding her request. "I'll be out in a few minutes..." He gaze then turns to the Fae perched over him. "And I assume heard the fighting and went to cover." He raised out of the water feeling cooled off and set down in the moist ground at the bank.

She watched him, looking over his wounds from a distance. "Maybe I did or maybe I didn't. But it seems to me you got the worse end of it all." She flicked her tail, but looked at the horizon quickly, then back to Javette.  

[Kage-Taisen Twilight]

"You know what they say... should have seen the other guy." He shakes off with a tinge of pain and staggers back to his den with his tail nearly dragging to the ground.
