Amelia was almost asleep when Niko came up to let her know that he had indeed found a chain to his liking."I'll be down there in a moment." She said after sitting up on the sofa and then drinking some of the water from the water bottle. Her question which was bugging her the most was why was Ryu there at Burger King or more like why was he on this side of town for?He distrubs me now days unlike when we were all kids. Then again he wasn't a vampire at the time either like he is now. She thought before going back down the stairs to see which chain that Niko had picked out.

He felt a bit guilty once he'd gone back downstairs to wait for her. The guilt was because he'd woken her up. But, he had to wonder about this, She did look tired earlier, did she not sleep enough the night before? Or is this something else I should be mindful of? This thought brought him back to what he'd been wondering about her eating habits. Staring down at the chain, he mulled over these thoughts. When Amelia came down the stairs, he'd pointed to the chain he picked out. "It was this one. It's not exactly a chain, at least not a metal one, but it looks like it'd go well with this." Saying this, he pulled the pendant from his pocket again.

Amelia had just unlocked the jewelry case from the back side with her key when her cell phone rang. She looked at the caller id to see that it was her brother, Jamson. She first got the necklace or chain whatever you want to call it, out for Niko and then answered the phone."Hey Jamson, I did go and get a bodyguard today," she said before he could ask her with a yawn as she wasn't going to use the word slave again if she could help it. ."You want to come over and see him right now? Well, I rather not as we're about to head out again and tomorrow would work a lot better. Okay, talk to you later then Jamson. Bye," Amelia said before hanging up the the phone on him."So how does it go with the cross pendant?"Amelia asked him as she closed the jewelry cabinet.

Ears shooting straight up at the sound of the ringing phone. With how quiet it had been in the room, the sudden noise surprised him slightly. Blinking, watching her answer the phone, he picked up the chain she'd taken out and looped it through the top of the pendant. While he was adjusting it, he was also evesdropping on the phone conversation with her brother. Well, it wasn't technically evesdropping, since the conversation seemed to be about Niko himself. Amelia's brother wanted to see Niko? With a slight 'hmph' noise, he muttered just loud enough for Amelia to hear, "sounds like he doesn't trust your judgement...or...he doesn't trust me, wants to know if i'm a capable enough bodyguard." He looked down at the chain he'd just put around his neck. "How does it go with it?" Lifting the end where the pendant was hanging, "this isn't exactly silver, see it's got a shadowy tinge to it? I don't remember what Cammie called it, but all I know is this leather kind of chain works better with it then silver or some other metal. It stands out more on this, and uh this was the only one that was really long enough." Rubbing the back of his head, he chuckled a little, as he figured his reasoning there probably didn't make any sense. "Anyway, guess we should go now, before it gets to be too late."

~~After Shopping~~

Carrying a bunch of bags, he followed Amelia back inside so she could set the security system;alarm system, whatever. He'd found quite a few new clothing items to wear, including the jacket he now had on (the one in the pic). Going to the room she'd said was his earlier, he left the bags in there and went back to where Amelia was. All the questions he had the whole day were starting to bug him, and he wasn't sure she'd bring them up anytime soon. So, he came right out and asked her the one he felt was probably the most important. "That guy, the one we saw at Burger King, is he dangerous or something? Since, you pretty much bolted from the place once you saw him..." Niko could ask her the other things after this one. He was supposed to be her bodyguard, so if there was any reason to watch out for this guy, he wanted to know.

"Did I really bolt out of there? Oh well, far as I know, he's not dangerous but I don't care for him though. He's best friends with my brother Jamson, who you'll meet tomorrow. I hope that Jamson doesn't bring him along. He knows that I don't like him but he does anyways at times." Amelia said before telling him more. She already was done with putting the codes in and headed upstairs so they could sit and talk in her living room instead of in the workshop. Once they were there, she went and fixed a glass of plum wine before continuing."His name is Ryu Yukio Toshi and means dragon gets what he wants mirror image."Amelia said as she sat down on her favorite soft sofa which was a dark orange color that faced the tv but she wasn't turning it on yet. She knew he had several questions to ask her and she would give him her full attention.

"Well, maybe not bolt exactly. But you were moving pretty fast, with a look that said 'I need to get the hell outta here,' though, I guess I understand the reaction since you said you 'don't care' for him." Niko grinned a bit, "Oh, the brother on the phone, who sounded like he either didn't trust your judgement, or he didn't trust me. Oh joy." Following Amelia up the stairs, he leaned against the wall, watching as she got herself a glass of wine. His nose twitched at the scent, "Hmm, plum? Good smell." Moving to flop onto the space next to Amelia, he snickered a bit at what the guy's name meant. "Sounds like the perfect name for a narcissist."

Sighing, his expression got serious, "So, I take it from your paling at my comment earlier, that you put the 'starving' in starving artist? So I guess I should watch out for that, make sure you don't put yourself in an early grave. Anything else I should be aware of in your oh so hazardous life??" Hazardous because of the attempted kidnappings, the break ins, the starving, and whatever else.

"Well, Jamson tends to be a bit more protective of me as he's the oldest of the family and yeah. Ryu was a human until two years ago when he was turned into a vampire by his father. When I was in high school, I did have a crush on him for a while there but got over it quickly after another guy I liked at school finally asked me out and we went to prom together. But I think that Ryu might like me in that type of way now but I don't."Amelia said before taking a swig of the wine.

Amelia blushed at the starving artist comment as she remembered his look at her at Burger King after she had paled some at his comment."I try not to Niko but sometimes when I get really involved working on any piece of art work, sometimes I do forget to take a break and eat something or sleep. I have found myself asleep on the floor before so I do have a cot stored away down in the workshop so I could sleep on that if I didn't feel able to climb the steps upstairs without falling down."Amelia said before taking a sip of her wine.Wait, did I offer him something to drink? Amelia thought as she had already told him about the other things that had had happened to her before earlier."Did you want something to drink Niko? Feel free to drink or eat anything that you can find in the kitchen. Oh, what time is it now?"

"Heh, and like I said before, with the incidents that have happened to you, I can understand the overprotectiveness." Raising an eyebrow, "a vampire, huh...and you used to like him, now you don't...and you think he may now like you...damn, that's gotta be awkward. Since he's your brother's friend, and you basically have to deal with seeing him if he tags along with your brother." Looking at Amelia, he saw her blush about his starving artist comment. Sighing, "Well, don't think I'm gonna let you continue going on like that. If I'm gonna be your bodygaurd, I need an actual body to guard." Shaking his head when she asked if he'd wanted anything to drink, "Not right now. But i'll remember to look in the kitchen if I need anything.....Uh the time, I think it's a little past 7."

"Yes, it's very awkward at times when around him. If you are then, why don't you fix us or at least me something to eat before I fall asleep here?" Amelia said she sat the wine glass down on the end table before laying her head on his shoulder and closing her eyes.Aye, today has been a very long day and glad to be home. Amelia thought before actually falling asleep right there and then.

Niko was going to make a joking comment on how he wouldn't be able to fix something for her to eat, while her head was on his shoulder. But, she was out cold, sleeping within seconds. Grinning, he resisted the urge to laugh. "I don't think my shoulder is the best pillow," he said in a low tone, so he wouldn't wake her. Shifting slightly, so he could turn a bit and put his arm around her back. "Let's get you to bed, silly." He turned enough so that her head was lying against his chest, one arm around her back, and the other he hooked under her knees. Picking Amelia up bridal style, Niko carried her carefully to her bed. Once he put her down, and pulled the covers over her, Niko left for his room to sleep.

The next day....

Amelia had the best sleep that she had had in a long time. She was well rested when she woke up. She didn't freak out when she saw that she was still in her clothes from yesterday as she knew that Niko must have carried her in here after she fell asleep on the sofa. She hadn't mean to fall asleep but apparently her body knew what she needed and shut down. She got off the bed and took a warm shower before seeing if Niko was awake as well.

Niko was still sleeping, his ears twitching, hearing movement from Amelia's room. Since his senses were stronger then a normal humans, he could still hear anything going on around him, even in his sleep. Yawning, he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. Sitting up and stretching, staying there when he heard the shower. Going into the kitchen, he got a glass of water, drinking it before he heard the shower turn off. Walking back into his room, grabbing some clothes, he turned to see Amelia coming to check if he was awake. Smiling,"Well, good morning sleepyhead."

Amelia smiled at his greeting to her."Good morning to you too Niko."She said as she walked pass him to go to the the kitchen. She was wearing her fuzzy white bathrobe with her light weight working clothes under it but how she had it wrapped, you couldn't tell if she did had something on under it or not.I wonder if he would try to take it off to see if I was wearing something under it or not. Amelia thought as she reached the kitchen to see what she had to eat for breakfast. She found a box of special K bars and grabbed two of them for her to eat and then fixed a glass of strawberry guava fruit juice to drink befre sitting down on the sofa again.

Niko watched Amelia go into the kitchen for her breakfast and bring it with her to the sofa. Raising an eyebrow, "That's your breakfast? Is that all you're eating?" Shaking his head at her, "That isn't breakfast...That's uh...chipmunk food." Sighing, Niko went around to the sofa and took the special K bars out of her hand. Going back into the kitchen, Niko opened her fridge and raided it for anything possible. Finding eggs, bacon, cheese, and butter in the fridge, he went and raided the cabinets too, finding potatoes and a loaf of bread.

Niko pulled out a couple knives, a spatula, and a pan and cutting board. Turning on the stove, he dropped in a bit of butter and let it coat the bottom, then he cracked open a couple eggs and dropped them in too. Grabbing the cutting board, Niko skinned the potato and sliced it up into small chunks. Then he cut up the cheese into slices. Moving the eggs around with the spatula, he grabbed some of the cheese and bacon slices and potato chunks, and tossed them on top of the eggs. Flipping it around to let everything fry, Niko pushed everything around in the pan, flipping it all again once it fried enough. Taking out a plate, once the stuff was done, he flipped out the now cooked omelette onto the plate. He repeated the process, getting another plate and made a second omelette. Taking a couple slices from the loaf of bread, Niko dug out a toaster and toasted the slices.

Once he was done with cooking everything in the kitchen, Niko picked up all the plates and took forks and knives with him, to where Amelia was sitting on the sofa. "Now this, is breakfast." Niko placed the plates on a coffee table near the sofa. Cutting off a piece of the omelette, Niko lifted it with the fork to Amelia's mouth. "Try it."

"Don't throw them away as those bars do make a good snack. Plus, they are not chipmunk food."Amelia said slightly disgruntly after Niko took them from her hands. To tell the truth, she wasn't surprised at his reaction to her eating those Special K bars for her breakfast. She turned around on the sofa so she could watch Niko move around in the kitchen. That didn't last long as she got up and took her robe off. Amelia then went over to the bay window that looked out over the parking lot and the park next door. She noticed that there were several people already out there in the park.

Then the smell of the omelettes reached her nose and she looked over where Niko was in the kitchen and saw that he was putting them on the plates now. So she walked back over to the sofa and sat back down before he brought the two plates over for them to eat there at the sofa. Amelia was about to ask whick plate was her when he held the fork up to her mouth with piece of omelette. "Did you bring another fork with you to eat with or are plannning to feed me every bite?"Amelia asked as she wasn't against eating the omelette but wasn't sure about him feeding her each bite of it.
