She frowned. "The fact that you think I have ever gone on a date with you is entertaining." She wouldn't lower the sword just yet as she wanted to know what he was doing here. She wasn't exactly going to have enough power to kill him but the fact that he was there was definitely throwing her off.

God cant something go my way just once! She just needed the stupid head of the vampire to know what was going on. "Now." She paused fatigue definiltely drained her today. "I need to know what your doing here and interrupting MY investigation."

David growled in frustration just a little bit when she refused to move the sword and it flicked itself back to his neck. He narrowed his eyes at her. He could just kill her, which would solve many of his problems right now.

Having not ever had the opportunity to fight a magic user and deciding (just now, in fact) that if he ever did get the opportunity, he wanted said person to be armed, rested, and ready for him, therefore this would not be the time, nor place. She would live. Nevertheless though, she was clearly over-tired and she wasn’t speaking right. She said this was her investigation, so she must have forgotten that he was involved, which he was. He didn’t want to be. But he was.

“I don’t think so, darling.” He kept his narrow look into her eyes. “What you need is to go home and rest. They’ll be here when you come back.” He said, nodding to the corpses in the middle of the room.

"Do you honestly think that I'm going to go home that easily?" She said with anger. "I have stuff that I need to accomplish and I'm trying to also figure out what you are doing here." She paused and started to lower her weapon only slightly.

"If I drop my blade you should tell me what your doing here." All she wanted was the damn vampire head. So she could figure out what was going on with it. Unless! He had something to do with it and thats why he was here. She wouldn't allow him to take her only resource to find out what happened to Craig.

Nathan wasnt going to allow her to escape him, not that easily. He accepted her challenge to chase. "Oh its on little girl." He said to her playfully. He was enjoying the break from all the seriousness of the pack, which probably wouldn't last for long. Hopefully one of the alpha females wouldn't come scold them for messing around.

Nathan followed the beauty not really trying to catch her but staying close enough to her. Her dress swayed around her body as she ran and he smiled at the sight. "I'm just enjoying the view." He said with the biggest s**t eaten grin on his face.

Anubis giggled, shaking her head as she ran. Nathan was such a, well, such a guy. She kept running, enjoying the feeling of doing one of her favorite things and feeling simply free.

"Of course you are!" Anubis laughed, ducking into a group of the trees. Maybe Nathan wasnt so bad, just playful. Maybe some girl, some day could make him settle, though Anubis knew it wouldnt be her. She wouldn't be so importaint.

She was adamant about figuring this out, David thought. It was an admirable quality in any human, and any male (or female, he didn’t judge) that was lucky enough to get past her rock hard shell would come to love that about her. Unfortunately and especially currently, it couldn’t be more irritating. For the vampire, it was getting old. He had more than enough lifetimes to realize the types of personalities that humans could turn themselves into. This particular breed thought that what she was doing was important, and therefore everything else in the world has to be put on hold until it was done. Fortunately though, he was a vampire and had until infinity for this dance.

“In order for that to work, you first need to drop your blade, darling.” He said simply.

“To be clear I wasn’t saying that you needed to go home; there’s a room with bunks for the orderlies right here in this building. It’s just down that hallway in fact. I was simply suggesting a few hours in complete darkness and total silence. Those hours when one’s head becomes clearer and while you don’t sleep, your body still regenerates.” He spoke slowly and softly, keeping his narrowed eyes on her face. “The door has a lock and the next shift doesn’t start for another hour.”

She looked at him with absolute bewilderment. Why was he trying to dissuade her? She didn't need to rest that badly. And yes she was on a power trip but it was what she needed to give her peace of mind so that she could sleep.

"What are you implying?" She asked. I mean she knew vampires could last forever in the bedroom but she wasn't looking for a one night stand from the very creatures that she hated. Kate was the father of the vampires daughter and she hated all of them. David was just the easiest target. She just wanted the vampire head. She wouldn't wait for him to answer, instead she'd bombard him with questions.

"Why wont you just let me take the vampire head and see his last memories?" She tried to look innocent. "I'll promise that I will bring your precious servant right back."

Dammit, he thought. She was on the right track. It wasn’t quite the route that David expected, but it was a good start. Magic users was in his plan, he just didn’t plan for them so… insistent; or beautiful, which now made it harder for him to think about killing her should the possibility have to arise.

“Well I didn’t know that his head was what you were after because you didn’t tell me! I could help you if you told me what was going on and what could be in his memories that you think you need to see.” He said, doing a damn good job of looking thoroughly surprised and confused at such a random concept. “But again darling, I can’t do anything until you put the sword away.” David had his hands up in a surrendering gesture for a while now and his arms were starting to get tired. If she wanted his arms to stay up, she could have used leather… and then David’s mind started to wonder if those bunks had head and foot boards.

She knew that he wouldn't know her blood line or what would be making her be a magic user as she hid her lineage really well. She lowered her sword as he acted like he wasn't going to fight her. Saber thirsted for his blood because she wanted to kill him too. Kate wouldn't sheath the sword just yet in case she needed it. She would head over to the locker in the morgue where the head would be being preserved. "So you really don't know who was piloting this creature?" She genuinely asked. She was skeptical about believing him, however what choice did she have at the moment?

So pretty boy. "I assume your better at identifying piloting through the necromancy spell correct?" She asked. If he would do it for her that would save her draining herself emotionally even more and would have no remorse about taking advantage of him. He should be interested too in whats happening. The magic was coming in a wave that allowed for all spells to be more powerful.

When Kate finally lowered her sword David’s hands followed the level of the blade down. Then when she crossed the room to the lockers, he couldn’t help but look at her body. It was small, but athletic; just perfect. David thought of coming up behind her and wrapping his arms around her, smelling her neck, feeling her blood pumping under her skin… His eyes turned completely black as he realized he hadn’t eaten yet tonight.

“No. I’m the only person who could pilot him, and I was home alone all night.” He said slowly, starting to calm down. When he was back to normal, he crossed the room to stand just outside of her blades reach, you never know with a crazy, over-tired magic user with a blade.

“Uh, yeah that should be fine.” He liked where she was heading, he couldn’t have asked for this meeting to go better."You want me to try and see if he saw anything last night?"

Anubis smiled a little and kept running before she made another sharp turn bt simply hid behind a tree, watching Nathan. He had always been an amazing creature to her, once he was a part of the pack that is. He was a different from so many men she knew. Her body started to warm, and somehow the wolf girl knew it had very little to do with the sun. Her cheeks flushed at the thought, and she tried to force it away with her mind.

Kate wasn't sure if she could completely believe him. Maybe if this vampire was marked with his signature then thats why he could only be the one to pilot it according to the code of vampires? Did such a thing even exist? She wasn'ts sure so she dismissed the thought. She knew that other people who were skilled with necromancy could pilot vampires.

"Well fine then be my guest." She said as she sat the head in a metal pan that she would grab off one of the shelves. The procedure would involve magic and a blend of herbs. That is if he had any of the required materials. She wouldn't understand why he would. She would let him do the necromancy as it drained her when she did it and was already tired. It wasnt a physically tired it was an emotional tired.

David watched Kate as she carried herself, so exhausted, but yet so very beautiful. She didn’t know quite how beautiful she was, or maybe she did and chose to downplay, or ignore it. There wasn’t a movement she made that the vampire didn’t enjoy watching. He only really took his eyes off her when he spoke, so that if she looked at him he wouldn’t be caught staring at her. David would enjoy feeding off her, but not if he had to fight her for it. It’s so much more erotic and intense when it’s consensual. David shook his head and told himself that these thoughts were just because he needed to feed.

“Um, okay then.” He said picking up his comrade’s head now sitting unceremoniously in a metal pan. “We’ll need supplies; I have some at my place.” He said, already thinking ahead to the millions of things that he could do with her if he had her in his place.

He would be right about her downplaying her physical features. She never cared to get dolled up nor did she really have the time. Saber went into its sheath on her back which required almost a contortionist move of her arm to be able to do so, but she didn't think about it as she had done it so much.

Kate wasn't happy about going to her face and in a straight laced manner said, "Fine, lets go to your place."
