Kingdom Hearts : Heartfelt Adventure {Day 8 ; Invite Only}

Bobbi grinned at Joe's reaction to the burger, and looked for somewhere to set down the BLT platter so she could get to making a sammich for herself as she answered Axel's hail.

"If I'd have known I was making food for more than three people, I would have brought out more," she said as she scanned the immediate area. "You both can make yourselves one sandwich; just one! That person-thing that cooked for us back in Hawaii is making food, too, so there'll be plenty for you later. You, however," she added to Daniel with a wink, "make whatever you like. You I offered to."

When she saw nothing suitable to use as a table, or at least nothing suitable that was close enough for her liking, she took careful stock of her mana reserves. She still had a couple of elixirs from Noelle, but she didn't really want to use one if she didn't have to...

Well, her mana was damn near depleted after that last attack on Ajora, and she hadn't been at rest long enough to restore very much. So, she balanced the platter on one hand, pulled an elixir out of whichever pocket she'd stuck it in, and downed the entire thing. Once her mana stores were at a level she thought was sufficient, she used her Crystal Spire spell, merged it a little with her Ice Spike, and formed a table out of ice right between herself, Joe, and Daniel. When she was satisfied with the table's height and width, she "tied off" a thin stream of mana to the formation. The mana was entirely to keep the ice from melting, but wouldn't be enough to drain her.

"What good is magic if it can't be abused for the sake of convenience?" she said as she set the platter down and started making her own BLT. "And it'll keep the food cold, too."

About halfway through slapping a couple thick tomato slices onto a bed of mayo and lettuce, however, she paused, and stared at her sandwich with a thoroughly woebegone expression on her face. "Dammit. I just realized I had the perfect opportunity to make a grilled peanut butter bacon and banana sandwich, and I missed it!"

Noelle frowned deeply as James revealed the burned seal and dark spot beneath it. When Dawn interjected, she opened her mouth as if to agree, but closed it again and said nothing. Her head was still spinning from the morning's events and she wasn't ready to pass her judgement yet. The healer sighed and held out her hand toward the spot on James' chest to see if she could heal it. Before she cast however, she shuddered and withdrew her hand suddenly. Noelle couldn't be sure if her senses were improving or if the spot was just that strong, but she could immediately sense the Darkness as her hand neared.

"That's not a bruise." She said in a low, serious voice. "That's Darkness."

As he revealed the burn scar and "bruise" he clearly heard Dawn mumble what he was pretty sure were obscenities, she seemed to recognize the seal that was burned on his chest and he had no idea why. Anthony had not mentioned that Dawn had had the same seal burned onto her hand, nor had Michelle mentioned it, probably just wanting to forget it. Upon her further inspection though she seemed to come to the realization that it wasn't the actual seal, but the burn scar.

He turned his focus back to Noelle, noting her silence and evident frown, she seemed like she wanted to say something, but refrained. With a sigh she reached out her hand and he had anticipated a healing spell, but instead her hand recoiled. Her voice was low and more serious than he had ever heard her before. The corsair was now very worried, was all of this because of what Ajora did? Or his own doing for tapping into so much darkness...

"How...? I don't remember anything like this ever happening before...," he stated trying his best to keep calm. "What can we do? Kyle is aware that I need help... I'm pretty sure he's asleep now though, I wouldn't want to wake him since it sounds like he really needs the rest."

'How is this possible Fenrir?' the corsair asked the Lunar Wolf.

'When Ajora's seal was removed, the darkness that it was sealing within your heart that you yourself have not willingly accepted was expelled from your heart... That much darkness isn't good on the body, just as it isn't good on the heart. That's the only explanation I can think of,' Fenrir replied, his voice sounding about serious as Noelle's had, if not more so given how deep it was.

[ Daniel ~ Shipwreck Cove ~ Top Floor, Red Rose Entry Ramp ]

So much for that. Daniel rolled his eyes and shook his head. Interacting with them is getting rediculous. How are you supposed to trust someone if you won't even listen to them? ... Maybe thats the point.

The Turk looked back towards the new leader, watching Joe's eyes as he avoided the conversation.

They didn't care about what he had been through and accomplished. They didn't want to know about how ShinRa and the Turks took him in and trained him, accepted him into their ranks, and gave him purpose. They were cold.

Which was a sign of them hardening, making better tactical decisions. And becoming more like Shinra. Daniel smiled.

"You, however," Daniel turned to Bobbi, expression lightening slightly, "make whatever you like. You I offered to."

Or maybe it was JUST this guy, and he was a d**k.

"Thank you very much! I knew someone from Earth who could make burgers like those.", He said, gesturing towards Joe's meal. He tried not to think too much about it.

As Bobbi (misspelled as boobi at first lmao) crafted a table from ice magic and set the platter down Daniel reached for the ingredients. Bread, B, L, T, mayo---

"Dammit. I just realized I had the perfect opportunity to make a grilled peanut butter bacon and banana sandwich, and I missed it!"

FACEPALM. The Turk laughed so hard his legs grew weak.

"Peanut butter and bananas, SURE, I will give you that! But grilled??!"

Noelle shook her head, "No, don't bother Kyle. I'll call Riku."

"Hey Riku? You got a minute?" Noelle asked over the charms, hoping she wasn't depriving him of any rest, "We need you in the galley."

The agromancer couldn't help but sigh and rub her face. She was hoping to have been able to get some rest herself, but depending on what Riku said it would have to wait. It was hard not to feel irritable--all these villains messing with them and giving them more problems to fix. It was getting old. Noelle found herself quickly returning to the 'punch everyone's faces in' mood she had been in earlier.

James nodded his head, clearly trying his best to stay calm. Usually to help calm himself James would take deep steadying breaths. However, whenever he breathed too deeply the "bruise" hurt, further reminding him of the situation he was now in. He hoped Riku would have some idea how to help. Looking at Noelle he could see just how tired she was, how clearly exhausted and it seemed like she really didn't want to deal with this right now... not that he blamed her in the least after what they had all been too. He felt somewhat bad now for having brought it up though. If they left it alone though he didn't know what would happen. Would it spread? Would he become weakened from it to the point that he was useless? The corsair really didn't want to find out.

"Just when I was thinking that my concerns were over when Ajora removed the seal," he stated with a sigh. Running his hand through his hair with a sigh, clearly concerned and stressed out over the matter. "Sorry Noelle, I know you're tired..."

[ Riku : Atlantica : Throne Room ]

The Keyblade Master was in the midst of explaining things to King Triton, having given back the Trident, when he received Noelle's summons.

"Uh, I might be a bit, I'm still settling things in Atlantica with Triton," he explained over the charms, keeping an ear open for what the king was saying. "What's wrong?"

"It's fine," Noelle replied to James with a weak smile, "This is more important."

When Riku responded, the agromancer sighed and rubbed her eyes. She forgot that Riku wasn't with them, so they wouldn't be getting any immediate help. Hopefully James could wait.

"Oh, sorry. Take your time." She said, "James has . . . an accumulation of Darkness in his chest. It doesn't seem to be integrated with his heart. It's like it's just sitting there. I don't know what to do about it and Kyle is probably out cold by now."

Dawn stared at both Noelle and James as she bit on her lip. She was nervous and worried. Kyle was passed out (as Noelle needed to be) and Riku was still busy. They needed someone who had knowledge of this. Dawn sighed as she looked around the room, then blinked as a name popped into her mind.

"I wonder where Louis is...." she thought out loud, "We could see if he could help with this."

James gave Noelle a small smile in return as she told him it was fine, glad that she was still willing to do what she could to help regardless of her current state. His eyebrows furrowed though as she sighed, something about the conversation she was having with Riku didn't go according to plan was about all he could figure since he couldn't hear their conversation. He then turned his focus to Dawn as she spoke about Louis. The corsair hadn't seen the Ivalican in quite some time, it didn't help that a good portion of time for him was still a blank when he was under Ajora's control, but he hadn't seen the young man since he had been freed. The dark wielding Ivalician still remained a mystery to him.

"I haven't seen him, not since the Dutchman," he replied honestly before turning his focus back to Noelle. "If he's unable to help at the moment it can wait... At least I'm pretty sure that it can."

'You don't know that for sure, I don't know what will happen if we put getting this fixed off for very long,' Fenrir stated gravely.

'It's not like we have a whole lot of choice. If Riku is busy he can't help and Kyle is out like a light. Even if we could find Louis I am not sure if him handling this would be a good idea.'

'You don't trust him?'

'I'm not sure, something just seems different about him, I can't place it. I would rather Kyle help. Holy magic makes the most sense to fix this.'

"I was worried that might happen," he replied, though his mental voice didn't seem terribly concerned. "I'd wager it sort of looks like a bruise, right? It's not fatal, and as far as I'd guess, probably won't have any lasting effects. The heart has rejected it, and now the body is trying to do the same, sort of like an immune system fighting a bug. It'll get worse before it gets better, and that could take... hours, days if something isn't done, but it won't kill him."

"I wouldn't be able to do much about it--I'm still rusty when it comes to manipulating my own, let alone the Darkness around me or within a person. Your best bet is to use some Light magic to force it out, likely with some curative magic to keep the pain dulled. If it's progressing too fast, though, then you should probably wake Kyle up."

[Joe: Red Rose Entry Ramp]

Joe quietly ate his burger. Well, scarfed it, really, but regardless, he was quiet, and probably looked like he wasn't really paying attention. Partially because he kind of wasn't, unless something actually involving him cropped up. Otherwise he was just going to end up standing there, looking around at pretty much everything but what was actually near him(i.e.: Bobbi and Daniel)

Noelle nodded, though Riku wouldn't be able to see her. "Alright, thanks for your help. I'll keep in touch if things start to go awry."

The agromancer turned her attention back to James and Dawn as they were talking about Louis. She shook her head and took another sip of her tea. "According to Riku, Louis wouldn't be of any help. Kyle's our only guy for this, we'll have to use his Light element. We don't have to do it immediately, though. You're safe unless it starts progressing too quickly."

"Waaaaah? No fair. After all that dat hard work- tch!" he side glanced Demyx, " What makes you think I'd share with this free loader- bet yah hid in the crows nest through the whole thing." He did his best sarcastical sneer at Demyx across his shoulder then shrugged-

"Meh, maybe if you fight me you can have.. a bite."

Still he did what he could with what was before him and put himself something together with the remainder while they talked about something having to do with ...whatever this new guy was involved with.

"Daniel was it right? Thanks for joining in that past part of the party."

Once he got some semblance of a meal in his hands the nobody began bringing it to his lips, completely ignoring Demyx if he wanted some. Perhaps on purpose just to tease.

[Kyla: Red Rose: Top Deck> Nose]

Kyla was nodding off. Even as the sunrise brought a warmth to her cheeks were it fell. The birds chirping in the air around her reminded her of home-

She'd stay up so late, the sky would brighten again and she'd hear the song birds outside her window. They were so loud in the quiet of the day they actually made it hard for her to go to sleep once they started singing.

She was almost done though. There was so much to do.
She had to finish those summon equips once she got to understand the remainder of her teammates powers.
Kyla wondered if the spells she gave to those she had finished were of any help and at long last, closing her sketchbook after finishing the final log entry the object disappeared. It's presence lingered on her finger tips, and she felt almost naked without it. Kyla carried that book everywhere- it was so strange to not put it away at times.

But she guessed Sora didn't always walk around with his keyblade in plain sight. Besides, her fingers hurt, and she rolled and rubbed her wrists she felt a painful soreness.

"Heh- just like finals. Maybe I should invest in a wrist brace?"

~ Not a bad idea. There should be something in the cabinets- they are enchanted after all.~

"Sounds good." the artist replied as she pulled herself up to her feet. Man- her knees too? everything just ached today. It really had been a long day.
Kyle was right. Bedtime.
Perhaps if she was lucky, the world would wait.

After taking a just more moments of the sight before her, Kyla sighed and began making her way back inside.
