Drip drop. Drip Drop. Drip. Drip.

When Josef opened his eyes, he was greeted with a bleak looking cell door. He was chained up to the wall by his wrists, ankles and neck.

Oh god my head..... Ughh.... I feel like crap....

He then threw up infront of him, spewing onto the floor.

The guard banged on the cell and yelled out; "QUIET YOU REGICIDAL MANIAC!"

Regicide? Right... I killed the king... and consumed his delicious god blood... Wait.... I WAS CAUGHT?!

The vampire started struggling against his bonds.

Greaaaaat Demitrious is gonna have a field day with me....

He turned to look around the room and found a surgical table.

"huh....

The prince led the two girls down into the dungeon, about ten flights of stairs down into the earth. Escorted by four honor guards and a torch he walked towards the cell.

"This is where we have Josef. I need you two to start the conversation with him first. After the niceties are done, and the heartfelt 'reunion' is done and overwith."

Demitrious put a blech after he said reunion.

"I will need you guys to inform him he murdered the king and I am giving him the honor to meet with the King to be. After you initiated that track of conversation, I will step in and explain what I will need from him. You are basically bargaining chips for me."

"Yeah, yeah." Was all she said, putting her hand up on Ketki's shoulder so she could lead the two of them over to Josef's cell door.

I'm totally pigging out on his food after this.

Zuni stood in front of the cell, crossing her arms. Hopefully she could keep Ketki as much out of this as possible.

"Gee, you look like sh*t." She said sarcastically, because obviously she couldn't see a damned thing.

"And you look more beautiful the moon in the perfect, clear night sky. Oh your illustrious beautiful hair.... it makes me shiver in delight seeing you like this..... ohhhhhh"

"Wha- what was that!? That.... Jesus christ.... you didn't AT ALL say what I wanted you to.... Fine."

He walked into the cell and faced Josef.

"You committed an act of the utmost, vile nature against this kingdom, Josef Verruckt. You killed the High King of Reseria. You committed Regicide that is unforgivable to MANY of the nation. You will surely burn in the pits of Hell for your crimes."





"You know it."

He gave the prince a wild grin.

"His blood was the most delicious thing I have ever tasted in my life. It was tantalizing. The only thing it was lacking in quality was the fear. He had NO fear in his final moments. Only sorrow. However that didn't take away at all the quality of taste when I consumed his life force."



"That means nothing to me, yes I know you are a vampire I know you are actually a Primeval vampire, one of the rarest vampires in existence that were long thought to be inactive. Yeah Yeah yeah. Let me cut to the chase Josef. I will grant your freedom and I will let you have your slaves back if you follow my orders and become one of my warriors for the upcoming civil war. Assassin if you will. My personal hound for this conflict."

Demitrious leaned back against the cell bars.

"I will let you be free. After what I need you to do is done, I will personally and privately pardon you for your crimes."





Josef gave a huge toothy grin.

"ohhhh? You are bargaining with me? Hmmmmm..... No. You can go F*ck Yourself."

Zuni let out a loud sigh. God, they were both so annoying. Why couldn't they be slaves to some little old lady who barely talked or something? Why these irritating little men... Then again, powerful jerks like these were the only types of people who could control her anyway. She would escape from anyone else.

"Sorry, let me try that again, Your Highness." She sighed out, arms still crossed. "Josef, just take his deal. Otherwise we become Demitrious' toys to play with instead, while you rot in this cell for all eternity. Your choice."

While Demitrious was stunned at Josef's answer and at a loss for words, Josef continued to coo at Zuni.

"God you are beautiful.... Here in this dungeon filled with rats, cockroaches and grime filled air. You grace this entire place with your presence. You are a light to my darkness.... Oh? Take the deal?"

He started laughing.

"And what? become his DOG just like he said? I would rather ROT than allow him to put reigns upon me. I kill as I please. As I WANT. As I FEEL like. I will NEVER EVER follow orders again. I AM A FREE SPIRIT. I am POWERFUL. I am basically a GOD of DEATH incarnate. Yet you want me to shackle myself to HIM?"

Zuni 'stared' straight in his direction. Yeah, she figured that was coming. She knew Josef didn't want to. Hell, she didn't want to, either. But becoming Demitrious' slave instead was probably worse, the second he stopped trying to be on Chii's good side her and Ketki were SCREWED. It was hard to decide who was the lesser of two evils... but at least Josef didn't have that infuriating god-like high-and-mighty attitude.

"Shackle yourself to him...? I suppose. Better you than me. Hmn... Well, okay then, I tried." The kitny shrugged her shoulders. "I guess I'm stuck being forced to have Demitrious' children... that f**king sucks..." She sighed a third time, sounding irritated once more.

"Sorry, Your Highness, I failed you... Please don't 'punish' me..."

"uhhh....."

NO SHE IS MINE!

"No. That is not something that will happen. No. Nope Nu uh. No nope nope nope nope nope nope NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE"

He started bashing his head against the wall and started struggling.

"SHE IS MINE AND YOU CAN'T HAVE HER SHE IS MY FAMILY MY OWN FAMILY I WILL NOT LET YOU RIP THAT AWAY FROM ME. YOU HEAR ME!? MINE MINE MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE."

Following up on Zuni's statement, the Prince spoke.

"Then join me and help me curb this rebellion and kill the conspiritors to my throne and you can HAVE her. Jesus christ. Are you insane? Calm the hell down you monster. Jesus christ."


After he stopped squirreling around, he was panting. He looked at Zuni with teary yet angry eyes, then his eyes flicked to Demitrious then back to Zuni.

"Okay... I will... on one condition."


Anger filled Demitrious face.

"I JUST GAVE YOU THE CONDITIONS. YOU ARE NOT TO ADD ANYMORE!"

He stepped closer to Josef.

"THESE ARE MY TERMS I ACTUALLY THINK I AM LETTING YOU OFF QUITE LIGHTLY."


Josef looked him square in the eye.

"What's stopping me from completely killing you after you let me free? What's stopping me from killing you, ending your little 'reign' of this kingdom and taking it for myself? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I have the upper hand you Prince. You NEED me. I don't NEED you. I can easily somehow break these bonds and get my girl back if you do not accept my terms. My condition."


With a sigh, Demitrious stopped being so angry and sarcastically asked.

"Fine, what is your condition? Girls? Money? More slaves?"


With a grin Josef spoke his condition.

"Add me to the rights of Succession after you. Name me heir after your reign is over. Then I shall assist you."

"Ugh...." He couldn't possibly be serious.... Be KING? Good god, he was serious wasn't he... this was just bloody insane.

You're both f**king unbelievable. What are you, like four years old? Temper-tantrums over me and the friggin' THRONE?

Zuni couldn't see anything, but out of habit she looked towards Ketki next to her.

"We did our part, let's go eat." Screw this place.

This was stupid. Why was she even here?! Josef could seriously care less about her, it was Zuni he wanted. She just had to sit here, and watch and listen to all this crap. This dungeon was absolutely disgusting. Ketki was completely grossed out by the bugs, and squeaked a little when one crawled on her foot. She shook it off, looking around the dungeon in disgust. She really didn't want to come down here in the first place, and she was honestly just standing there for NO reason except to watch Demitrious and Josef bicker and debate.
She hated the smell, the look, and the feel of this place. Could she go back to Chii now? She wanted some more of that steak... It was really good...

Ketki seriously could not get over how gross it was here, and the bugs freaked her out, not to mention the mice and rats. Gross!!! Were they done talking yet?! If not, COULD THEY HURRY UP?!
Josef was going nuts in his cell, what a lunatic. Become king? Good luck with that Josef!!

I really don't think Demitrious would go that far just to have you. Ketki thought bitterly, and stepped closer to Zuni.

After a few more minutes when Zuni suggested leaving, Ketki could not be happier. She put a hand on Zuni's shoulder to help guide her back, and made no hesitation to leave, walking back the way they came into the dungeons.

" Yeah, let's go! Goodbye!! " Ketki gave a little wave before she started walking a bit faster before they called them back.

Later, after Demitrious finally convinced Josef to side with him, he went into the Prince's room and with wide open arms he exclaimed out loud.

"Hello Zuni and Ketki! My family! Daddy is back!."

He stood there, arms open. Waiting for somebody to hug him.

"What the hell are you doing? You look stupid. Stop that. Get your slaves and just leave."



"Oh please, you can't just tell your SUPER important ally to just up and leave. We are gonna room here since you NEED me so badly. Besides, these girls need the nice and fine food that you offer here anyway. Unless you don't want my help hmmm?"



With a growling sigh, Demitrious just walked over to his kitchenette, pulled out a bottle of virgin blood wine and poured himself a glass and chugged it.


"ohhhh can I have some? Buddy FRIEND?"

Ketki was sitting with her back against the foot of the bed, and immediately frowned when she saw Josef walk in, along with Demitrious.

Greeaat. Look who's back.

Did he seriously expect one of them to hug him? No. Nope. Not hugging him in a million years. Never. He just stood there, arms wide open. She just stared at him, her right ear twitching.

" Welcome back.... " Ketki replied bitterly as she stood up. She walked over to the kitchenette, and snatched a peach from the fruit bowl. She thought peaches were amazing. Either peaches or grapes were the best.

" Oh? We can stay here? " Ketki asked, turning around to look over at them. Yay!! More time with Chii!! More steak! More sushi!!

With a grit to his teeth, the prince spoke.

"You can STAY but you SHOULD not pig out on my food. Take it in MODERATION. You literally ate all of the fruit reserves I had three days in a row. I have to order MORE fruit than usual and the financial burden with that is HIGHER than you thing. Girl.



"Oh come now, you are RICH! You have the entire country... Whoops HALF the country under your thumb! Fruit like that is like throw away change to you. Let the girl have her fruit despite it having no nutritional value at all what so ever to us vampires."


"Wait it has NO nutritional value to vampires?! WHY IS SHE EATING IT THEN?!"

Ketki frowned, and just kept eating it as Demitrious talked to her. Well, if she was going to get treat like crap every day, then at least let her eat all the food she wants. They don't pay slaves anyway, so what's the problem? Not her fault she enjoyed fruit this much.

Actually, Zuni was the one eating all the fruit, not to be pointing fingers or anything. Ketki only took the grapes and peaches. Not to mention if they left any sushi out, that would be gone in seconds.

She stared at Josef bitterly. Great. He just ruined her having all the fruit she wanted. Couldn't use the excuse of starving anymore....

" Because I like how it tastes. Blood is fine and all, but I like how other things taste too. And thank you Josef for letting him know. " Ketki growled a bit, walked over to the fruit bowl, and shoved a peach in her pocket behind her back for later.

Demitrious probably wouldn't even waste giving her any food from now on.. that really sucks...

The Pure-Hearted

Chii's tail went between her legs, her heart racing. Wait, Josef was staying HERE, with them-!? It made her happy Ketki and Zuni got to stay too... but... she was still seriously and absolutely terrified of Josef. She didn't want to be anywhere near him for even a minute, let alone him staying here to live....

She bit her lip, growing increasingly more nervous... What was she going to do...? Hopefully... possibly... Josef would stay away from her since everyone was around... especially Demitrious... He wouldn't torture her if everyone was watching, right?



Zuni stayed quiet. Really? He seriously just conned his way into staying here? Well, she couldn't exactly complain. After all, they had way better food here. And more of it, since Josef was a cheap skate. Plus it would make Demitrious have to keep acting nice in front of Chii, and she could keep an eye out for the poor chimera.

GOD, JOSEF JUST SHUT UP ALREADY. Why was he giving all this information away to the enemy?! Now Demitrious wasn't going to let them pig out anymore! Zuni scowled, seriously peeved. Could the idiot seriously just stop talking, period? Wouldn't that be nice?

"Oh come now Prince, your subordinates need to know how well you take care of your HEAD GENERAL/ ASSASSIN and his slaves. You must allow them to eat even if they aren't human and are monsters. We still have tastebuds and enjoy the delicacies that humans do. I mean, what kind of tyrant wouldn't allow his 'wifes' friends to eat well? She IS free and she IS a queen to be so allowing her some say should show that you care for the common folk too. Demitrious."

The Prince stayed silent, all of the points Josef bringing up to him just proving more and more irritating. He cannot allow his composure to fall completely. Once this rebellion is over, he will lock away Josef for eternity and steal his slaves for himself.

"Fine. Fine. FINE. They can stay and eat whenever they want. However you are to sleep in the GUEST room in my suite. You are not allowed to go NEAR my wife."



"Isn't there only one bed there? Fine by me~"
