With an eye twitch, he forced another smile.

"You see Zuni, I never released his name to the public. He was also found in his Primeval vampire form. Therefore nobody but me and the honor guards recognize him."

He then got up and walked towards Zuni.

"Could you PLEASE refrain from propping your feet ON MY DAMN FURNITURE? Would you kindly RESPECT the presence of your GOD?!"

Ketki frowned a bit, and handed the glass back to Chii. It smelled really good, probably why she wasn't allowed to have any. Oh... That was virgin blood... thats... really... gross... And there goes Zuni again.... Maybe since he's so down and all he won't do anything, hopefully. Oh, turns out he's still trying to hold back his temper. Ketki gave a small sigh as she took the new glass of blood from Chii, and took a sip.
" Thank you. " She looked up at Chii, and then returned her gaze to Demitrious and Zuni. She flattened her ears a bit, Zuni really felt like ticking him off.. didnt she? Actually curious about her collar, she had never really paid much mind to it after Josef put it on her, she flipped the little tag over to read it. Sure enough.... There was his name.... That made her dislike the collar even more..

Ketki hadn't actually realized she had drank her glass of blood so quickly. She should really be more careful from now on, she went three days without blood, and that's a little too long for her comfort zone. Last thing she wanted was to murder innocent people just because she made the mistake of not drinking blood for too long. She licked some off her mouth that had dripped down, she really didn't want people to see that if she went out at all, now that would be a bad situation. Zuni is seriously pushing his buttons... He going to get pretty mad here if she keeps it up. Oh well, as long as he didn't scream at her, Zuni knew how to deal with him anyways.

" Let's not get too touchy with each other... " Ketki said quietly. She really didn't want this to be a bad day, well, not that they had any good days either. She just didn't want to ruin Demitirous not flipping out on them every five seconds.

She could hear his voice coming closer.

"It's called a foot-rest for a reason." Zuni said, shrugging her shoulders. What a baby... She kept her feet there for about another twenty seconds, before taking them off and resting them on the ground.

"God, huh? I don't believe in God." She smirked a little, almost playfully. "Does that mean you're fictional, just in my head? Damn my subconscious is an obnoxious little b*tch." It was too much fun pissing him off, even if she wasn't trying that hard. Demitrious was still his same terrible self, just look at his pompous attitude, thinking he was some kind of almighty being.

She crossed her legs, staying in her chair and not saying much else. She really didn't have to, with how irritated he already was.

Half of that went right over her head, but Demitrious starting to raise his voice made her look their direction. What are they bickering about now? Chii wondered, blinking in surprise as Demi referred to himself as their god... Uh... Where did that come from?

"Y... Yeah... I agree with Ketki..." She said very quietly.

"Zuni.... are you TRYING to make me mad? You are TRYING to be this much of a sh*thead in my team of freaking grief? The fact my father died and my country is about to SPLIT IN TWO and you are trying to irritate me? Trying to be a little sh*t? Okay. Good to know. You want to be free that badly? I can send you directly back to Agravain himself and he can take you as his own!"

Demitrious huffed and stormed towards the window and looked outside.

"I should also perhaps give Ketki to him. You know, since you both want to be free of this place this badly. You are WILLING to directly insult a monarch. A king to be may I remind you."

He turned to face Zuni again.

"You are BLIND. You cannot see yet you are trying your best to just piss me off. I see how it is. I am literally giving you the best hospitality in this palace, they best place to sleep. THE PRINCE'S QUARTERS ITSELF, THE HEIGHT OF COMFORT SAVE FOR THE KING'S QUARTERS!"

He then just threw his wineglass at the windowsill.

"You know what? I should just kill myself. End this STRIFE that everyone is just having! You know, let the country be taken in control by Agravain himself. Let him have all that power let Chii go over there, let Ketki be taken then when he freaking realizes that she is a vampire, kill her since HE IS ONE OF THE HEADS OF THE DAMN CHURCH ITSELF and once he finds YOU. Imprison you in a crystal prison, put you under ground and make you a breeding factory of high demons so he has a god d*amn excuse as to why he needs more executors of the high church to be around and raid peoples houses! You think I AM BAD? Look at all the lies he has spouted. Look how big of a slave drive he has now."

"Tch." It was hard not to laugh at him. He already snapped, and she had barely done a damned thing compared to how much of a b**ch she normally was.

Yeah. You ARE that bad. You assault women and children like they are your place things. What's the matter little boy, don't like a woman who can contest you even when she's friggin' BLIND? Might as well try to get something out of it.

"Best hospitality? Yeah. Right. Ketki and I are eating the same damned rice as all the others do. You whine when we sit on your furniture. You whine when Ketki needs blood, when if you knew of her you knew she's needed blood anyway, you lock her IN A CAGE like she's a god damned animal. The other slaves get futons to sleep on. Let's see here... oh yeah, you're being fake as absolute f**k and playing with Chii like she's a toy. I see right through you and I'm BLIND.

The flicked her bangs of out her face.

"If you're unsettled so easily over a blind girl who can only talk s**t, not do anything, you're going to lose this war. Might as well surrender and take the easy way out, daddy isn't here to save you." Zuni sighed, crossing her arms. "Grow a pair. Stop picking on little girls and deal with the enemy instead. If I really bother you that much, tell you what, I'll shut the hell up if you stop locking Ketki in a cage and let us eat some real food instead of nothing but rice."

Ketki frowned, and sighed, putting her hand to her forehead. This was seriously the LAST thing they needed right now. Wow, when the bad days come, they hit really hard don't they..? She looked to Chii, and then back between Demitrious and Zuni. She really didn't want this to go much further, normally all three of them ended up in trouble, and Demi just gets mad at everyone. Ketki flattened her ears a little more, and swished her tail nervously behind her. Zuni should really stop now...

" Zuni, I really think that's enou- " Ketki started. Well... Too late... Demitrious was now ticked off. Ketki only sighed again, and just listened to them. This was seriously going to be a bad day, she just knew it. Might as well prepare herself to sleep in the dungeons with Josef or something, with how agitated Demitrious was. Chii should be safe, since he loves her and all, or she thought he had some soft spot for her. As for her and Zuni, they didn't have that privilege. Best hospitality in the palace?! Was he joking?! She slept in a freaking CAGE for crying out loud!! She flinched when she heard the wine glass shatter against the wall. Oh boy...
Kill himself? Well, that might be a good idea... Seriously though!! Why was she now dragged into this argument!? Agravain was a head of the church?!?! Never mind!! Demitrious could stay alive!! Please do not kill yourself!!

And Zuni had now decided to keep talking. JUST GREAT. She had some good points, but this was seriously going to get them in trouble if she kept at it like this. Ketki walked over to the cooler, and quietly poured herself some more blood out of the bottle. Demitrious would probably flip at her just for getting more blood, so she did it as quietly and as quickly as possible. She put the cork in the bottle, and set it back into the cooler. She was still thirsty for some reason. She quietly walked back over to where she stood earlier.

Chii squeaked loudly, instantly hurrying over to him and hugging herself to him.

"N-No, don't do that-! Don't even say it!" She exclaimed, clinging onto him. "B-Both of you... please just stop... I hate it when you fight..."

She bit her lip a little, ears slid back. Both her AND Ketki hated it......

"Why don't we.. u-umn... meet each other half way? D-Demi, would you please let Ketki and Zuni have some better food..? They're... way too skinny... a-and not lock her in a cage anymore, either... if... if they both behave, they can be rewarded, right? Then everyone is happy!"

"Fine, fine just fine. She can be out of the cage and she can have regular food."

Demitrious sighed and started picking up the glass shards after Chii finished hugging him.

"Do whatever you want, except walk free. Order whatever food you like I don't care.."

He then turned to Zuni and looked at her square in the eye.

"Your real 'master' will be undergoing interrogation for killing my father, but I will probably set him free under the circumstance he fights this war for me."

"Alright. Thank you, Your Highness." Zuni said, quite pleased that she got him to cave.

REAL food-!

"Ugh. Gross. Smart, though. Maybe you're not hopeless after all." She said, getting up out of the chair and feeling her way into the kitchenette. She grabbed fruits out of the fruit basket and sat on the floor, eating it.

Soooo good. I could get used to this-! Josef and Demitrious both SUCK, but at least we can finally have a little happiness.

Chii hugged onto him again, tighter. "Th-Thank you!" She was honestly quite shocked he agreed to both of them, since usually he was nothing but savage to the other two girls... She blinked at him, just now realizing something.

"Umn... is it okay for me to cook you meals, now...?" The chimera asked, unsure what rules had changed since being freed from slavery.

"He turned towards Chii's puppy like eyes, he felt a glimmer of anger that she even ask but since the situation was dire for his survival, as he needed to be on the good side of them all.

"Yeah, you are allowed to cook for me in this kitchenette, I actually prefer it considering I am going to be ascending the throne soon."

He sighed and looked towards the ceiling.

"Civil war.... huh.... Zuni. When I go to his cell and interrogate him, I am going to need you to be there with me. I need to use you as leverage for him.... "

Zuni shrugged. She didn't want to, but if she wanted to keep Ketki out of her cage and all the food they want, she had to pay the price.

He's not as stupid as he seems, actually keeping someone he hates around just to win this new war. Josef will do whatever he wants to have me....

"Don't forget Ketki, his beloved child." She said sarcastically, going back to enjoying the fruit.

She smiled a little, and went into the kitchenette, carefully working around Zuni to make something for everyone to eat, and after a little while she came back with a steak dinner and hand mashed potatoes. Chii poured him a glass of wine and sat near him and nibbled on her salad.

I feel guilty eating such amazing food... people are out there starving and dying... but this food just goes to waste if no one here eats it...

"Wait what? What do you mean by his child?..."

Later on, as Chii made him dinner.

"Wow this looks exquisite. Where did you learn to cook this? This tastes good. Thank you for pouring me the wine."

He took a sip and sighed contently, and used a royal napkin made of the finest import silks and dabbed his lips.

"This is... really good."

Wait. So he was actually going to let her and Zuni eat real food, and she didn't have to sleep in that cage anymore?! Yay!!! This day turned out good after all! No more cage, no more rice, this was amazing!!! Ketki finished her second glass of blood, and set the glass down on a table. She walked over to Chii, and hugged her happily, her tail swishing behind her. Why would Chii still want to cook for him? Actually, when Chii made sushi, it looked pretty fun. Maybe one day she could teach her? That would be super fun!!

" Could you teach me how to cook one day Chii? " Ketki asked, watching her from sitting on the floor by the foot of the bed. She was too afraid to sit on the furniture after all. She looked at Zuni, and flattened her ears. She didn't want to see Josef at all, she'd rather be here with Chii. Besides, it would be no fun to just stand there and listen to them. And his child?! No, no, no, she was NOT his child. The very thought made her shiver.

" I really don't think he wants to see me... " Ketki replied, frowning. She really didn't want to go visit him. " I don't want to see him either. " She grumbled, crossing her arms a bit. " A-And also! I'm tired! " She added, hoping Demitrious would make her just stay.

Chii smiled happily, her neko tail wiggling behind her. It made her really glad to impress someone with such a refined palette. It probably didn't really impress him that strongly, but it made her happy all the same.

I'm not good at most things... but I really think I could be a good wife...

She nodded, looking towards Ketki. "Of course. We can make all the sushi we want!" She laughed a tiny bit, knowing how much the other neko companion loved her sushi. Chii had to admit, having them back here was nice... she only hoped that things would stay friendly... not... horrible... like before... but having friends was exciting.

"I-I've worked at a tavern most of my life... and cooking just kind of became my hobby..."

"Here~" She held out a bite of the steak in front of Ketki's face. "Try it." It was free game now that her fiancee said it was okay for them to eat whatever they wanted.

Zuni chuckled lightly, "I was only teasing. I'm the only leverage Demitrious needs for Josef. He'll fold like a deck of cards..." She sighed out, finding it pretty annoying that Josef was just THAT obsessed with her.

"Well she is his slave so I would like to have her present with you when I try to convince him to work under me. So Ketki you need to be with Zuni."

His eye twitched as Chii fed Ketki steak.

Should be ME she is feeding. Not a DIRTPOOR GIRL LIKE HER.

"We will be going down there tomorrow after he wakes up. He seemed to have been knocked out by a powerful curse and the curse is taking it's full course upon his body. Lucky for Josef he is nigh immortal. So he will recover. Apparently my father was afflicted by said curse and the curse was supposed to activate last night. Curse from a ring.... His wedding ring."
