A few days after the king was found dead and Josef was paralyzed from the curse in his Demonic Vampire form, Demitrious was sitting on his bed with his heads in his hands.

"I am about to be crowned King and there is about to be a rebellion... That's just... I can't...."

Demitrious stared into the floor, the anxiety of all this happening at once getting to him.

After he found his father and Josef, he immediately had his guards apprehend Josef and take him into the deepest dungeon. Of course it would have been prudent to actually have Josef executed immediately, but something told Demitrious that Josef could be more useful in the time to come alive. As much as that was a far fetched thing to hear.

Demitrious had both Ketki and Zuni stay in quarters for the time being as Josef's shop was under complete and utter investigation.

The prince looked at the letter that was yet to be opened next to his bed.

The declaration of rebellion and secession.... At first I would have just been an adviser to my father about the war.... but now... I am going to be the commander in charge of quashing this rebellion....

Demitrious felt the contents of his stomach come up and he just puked infront of him. Chii, Ketki, and Zuni all looking in his general direction. It had been three days since the incident and this morning was the first time he ate... but now it just came up.

"Chii... Don't leave me..."

It made her filled with sorrow to see Demitrious in such despair... She had never once seen him like this (and probably never would again). His father had been murdered... and a rebellion was now in tow...that would be enough to stress out even the hardest of people. Chii felt really awful she couldn't do much to help him... and she felt like it was completely her fault the rebellion was starting anyway...

If I wasn't in the picture, none of this would be happening... She wanted to be sobbing with sheer guilt, but it wouldn't help him at all... so instead she stayed by his side, trying not to be crushed under the weight of her guilt.

I'm so sorry Demitrious...

Chii cleaned up the mess, and sat next to him on the bed, wrapping her arms around him and holding him tightly.

"I-I'll never leave you... I promise..." She squeezed him tighter, closing her eyes. "I'm here, Demi."

Disgusting. She wanted to vomit.

Having a pity party... geezes. He doesn't care. He's wanted his father to kick the bucket this entire time, so he can be king. Only thing he is upset about is the rebellion. Little bitchy brat can't handle the pressure.

Zuni rest her head on the windowsill, feeling the light breeze touch her cheeks... it felt really good, Josef's place didn't have any windows. Her tail swished lightly behind her. Are we stuck being his servants now? Why hasn't he executed Josef yet? She sighed softly to herself. I refuse to let Ketki and I be his slaves again... screw this. We're just gunna say f**k it and get the hell out of here. How can I escape in this condition, though... if I could see, it would be SO easy with him moping like a child like this... I'd already be long gone.

She started getting even more irritated on the inside. Can't have Ketki out there slaughtering people for blood, either. God f**king dammit. We really are STUCK here for eternity........ Zuni felt miserable, tail still swishing like a whip behind her.

"You need to feast, Ketki. It's been three days now." She whispered to her cat companion.

Ketki looked at Demitrious with an almost sympathetic expression. Honestly, she couldn't decided whether to feel bad for him, or to just laugh at how he was finally feeling as much pain as a normal person would. She was actually surprised he vomited, she felt a bit bad and all, since the king was his father and all... Otherwise, he deserved the rebellion coming to him, but that also put strain on Chii. None of this was her fault, it was all Demitrious using sweet words, and toying with her. Actually, she had never seen Demitrious look so, how would she put it.. so close to looking genuine for once. Her gaze wandered to the window, and stared out of it for a moment.

Oh... Right.. She still had to feast... Actually, not that she was a huge fan of the concept of it, she kinda looked forward to feasting on the blood packets. They tasted good, better then she really imagined. It never occurred to her that blood would ever be able to have that flavor.. Still, that didn't make her look at Josef any different, the way he killed... was just horrible and disgusting.. She assumed the day would come when she would have to kill, but she would do it as quickly, and painlessly as possible. She'd never become a monster like Josef did. He did it just for the heck of it, and for his own pleasure. Like when she first met him in that house... Like that girl...

Ketki looked up at Zuni, and nodded slowly. Wait, she couldn't get to the blood packets though, weren't they still in Josef's office? That was being investigated... Didn't Josef also say she could feast upon rats or cattle? How would she find an excuse to go find a rat?? Maybe Demitrious wouldn't bat an eye with how depressing he looked..

" How would I get access to blood though? " Ketki whispered quietly back. " I thought Josef's office was being torn apart.."

The kitny exhaled, leaning her ear towards Demitrious' bed just to make sure he was still sniffling and whining over there. Okay, sounded like him and Chii both were. Zuni would get it for her, since she knew how to be mysteriously sneaky... but of course she was blind, thanks to that psychopath that thought he would get away with killing the king. Idiot...

"He keeps some... in the icebox... I've heard Chii pouring it into his wine before." The foxy bat whispered very quickly, "Just make sure he doesn't notice you... and have some kind of excuse of why you went in there, if he does catch sight of you... maybe hide the blood packet in your clothes, and come back with a glass of water. Innocent enough... "

Hopefully Ketki had a good poker-face!

"Chii.... I think we should get married immediately. That way we can get me crowned king and deal with this rebellion. The first thing in order that we need to do is have the state funeral for my father, then.... I am not going to execute Josef. He is one of the primeval Vampires. Old vampires that are the most powerful. I need him alive for this upcoming issue. Besides... I cannot formally kill him unless I follow the ritual that is to banish Primeval Vampires. Unfortunately.... he is a descendant of a Primeval one. Ketki."

Demitrious got his hands from his face, his face looking solemn.

"You are a disciple vampire. A classification of vampire that is created from the blood of a primeval one. You will not have his strength or have the form that Josef has. You can be killed by a stake in the heart and if you are made to ingest liquid silver. Make sure you are never captured by anybody of the High Church."

The king to be turned towards Chii.

"We can only be married within the cathedral of our palace. We cannot be married anywhere else that is holy. Do not ask me why but I think you can gather for obvious reasons."

He sighed and looked towards the floor.

"I cannot believe this. Our own physician is a Primeval Vampire. Under our nose. it had to be HIM. Of all people..."

The prince's fist tightened.

"It disgusts me that we have to rely on his strength... it sickens me to my stomach that HE is the one I have to pardon for his crimes because he is that powerful... The issue is that if I ever unleash him on the battlefield, I will lose ALL support I have left from my own country, the world and the Church."

His brow furrowed.

"Damn that church.... The one obstacle preventing our family from spreading our borders from conquest... We can only spread our borders through agreements and Agravain knew this.... He knew all of this. "

"I-Immediately...?" She squeaked out, suddenly caught off guard. Wait, so soon-!? Most people took months of engagement planning... especially royal weddings, she didn't even want to know what an insane difficulty it was to plan one of those. She whimpered softly, start to feel really nervous. Her wedding was going to be a royal wedding...... everyone was going to come.... and stare... and....

Chii squeaked again, but louder this time. "W... W-Wait...! If... If you have to be married... to be crowned King... Then... Then does that.... m-make me.... Queen.....?" She said shakingly, only now just starting to realize that fact.

"Yes, you will be my Queen. I will be your King. You will be the first lady of this entire kingdom. That is what I want to do. If I put you in power and sway the people of the commoners, I will have the advantage over Agravain. He has the backing of most of the rich families. I am steadily gaining traction from the people. Eventually I will have to abolish slavery in order to get the complete backing of the people."

What they don't know is that 'born servants' Within my castle are basically slaves all but in title.

Demitrious then looked up the ceiling.

"But this burden.... is going to be tough to bear alone. That is why I hope you will agree to a speedy royal wedding. I need the backing of the people and I want you to be with me as soon as possible."

Chii blushed lightly... She really didn't want to be Queen, that sounded like WAY too much responsibility... but she wanted to marry him... and he was a prince... and his father was just murdered... so that meant if she wanted to be with Demitrious, then she had to do this. Even if she didn't like it.

"Okay-y, whatever you need, Demi-chan..." She smiled half-heartedly, hugging herself against him and tucking her face by his neck. "When do you want it?"

"I want it right now if I could, however the next few days we will be tied up in the Kings funeral and I will be crowned king in the next two or three days. So that means we have a week to plan this. I will announce it to the country that we are to be wed in a week."

He pat her head.

"We also need to produce an heir as soon as we can."

"A... A week?!" Chii squeaked out, eyes widening a little bit. "Aa.... Ok-kay-y... If that's what you want to do..." She had absolutely no idea how they were going to plan and execute all of this in just a week, especially with the funeral and such at the same time... "Umn... what are we supposed to have... at a royal wedding...?"

She blushed harder, blinking up at him as he pet her head, as pink as a blooming rose. An heir.... Already-!?

"A royal wedding is like a normal wedding, but Royal. Royal families, more of a national thing. Themed and everything."

He stood up and extended his hand for Chii to take.

"My queen, you shall be one of the most regal of all queens to grace the lands. You are my darling, my love."


Anxiety filled him up again.

"The country will require us to produce an heir very quickly..."

Ketki listened to Zuni, and nodded afterwards. It wouldn't seem too suspicious... right..? Besides, she actually really wanted some blood right now, even if the thought kind of disgusted her. Her attention suddenly went back over to Demitrious and Chii. Aw, he wasn't going to execute Josef...? Just when she thought Josef would get what was coming to him... So he would just... let Josef get away with killing the king..? Well, Josef seemed crazy powerful anyway, well, not to mention crazy in general. She flinched a bit when he said her name, and looked over at him. She just stared at him while he explained what vampire she was. Wait, since when did he know she was now a vampire? Could he sense it or something..? Ingest liquid silver?! Stake to the heart?! Sounded... lovely....

" Err, nice to know... " Ketki replied, not even going to ask how he knew about her being a vampire in the first place. Also, why did he care if she died or not? Was something actually wrong with Demitrious..? Last time she checked, he wanted her dead. Also, she had to make sure not to get captured by anyone of the Higher Church? Was there anyone she was safe with now? Probably not. Things had certainly gone wrong in an instant for sure...
Chii needed to produce an heir?! Wasn't this moving too fast?! Ketki understood the situation and all, but thats A LOT to ask from Chii, even under these circumstances. Ketki was still trying to believe Demitrious even proposed to Chii..

She kept right on blushing, holding his hand gently. "I-I'm not regal... a-at all... I'm just... plain... I don't know how to be a queen at all..." Chii whimpered softly. This was moving way, way too fast... it was starting to make her head spin. A child? Already? She was way too young to be having children... but she wanted to be a mother really badly anyway, and she was going to be married to him... and he was kind of... royalty... in the middle of a rebellion... so it made sense. But it still sounded way too forced.

Maybe fate wanted it to be this way...

Chii walked over to the icebox and took out a pack of blood and poured a cup of it for Ketki, and came over to her. "I-I haven't seen you drink any in days, Josef usually feeds you..." She said softly, offering her the glass, not realizing at all that it was very hard to obtain virgin blood.

Well, at least Chii could freely hand Ketki blood in front of Demitrious' face now. Cat was out of the bag. Didn't surprise her anyway, since he had been in the clinic from being pushed off that balcony at the time of her transformation.

"Soooo, Your Highness..." Zuni addressed him, sitting back down in the chair and facing their general direction. "Are we free to go, since our Master is MIA?" She took off her collar that was itchy and driving her crazy, scratching at her neck lazily. "I mean, it's great hanging out like we're one big family, and all, but you two probably don't want a third and fourth wheel around much longer."

His eye twitched, fist clenching. He forced a really large smile.

"No Zuni, you are under the jurisdiction of ME now since I apprehended him personally and now he is in questioning. All his assets has been seized by the State. Meaning ME. Also.... put that collar back on. You are NOT allowed to remove them in the presence of a monarch! ESPECIALLY one about to be king."

Said Demitrious whilst grinding his teeth.

"Chii... do you know how hard it is to get that bottle of VIRGIN blood wine? I understand that you didn't know.... but please.... do not feed her that expensive of wine.... Give her the labeled 'slave' blood please...."

IMBECILES ALL OF YOU FREAKING IMBECILES. I WILL HAVE ALL OF YOUR HEADS... Relax Demitrious.... you are about to face a rebellion and you need all the help you can get. Josef will only help if you have Zuni.... Do NOT ruin this or your life is at stake.

"So please... put the collar back on. My love? Please pour the wine back and get one of the aforementioned bottles please."

"V-Virgin?" Chii squeaked out, quickly pulling the cup back. "I-I'm sorry-!" Why did he even still have this!? It was so creepy... and disgusting... blood was bad enough, but virgin blood?

She poured it back carefully, not wanting to waste a single drop, and got into the only other bottle she saw in the icebox, and quickly poured her a new glass. "H-Here you go... S-Sorry..."

Zuni kicked her feet up on the fancy foot-rest, leaning back into the comfy chair. She smiled softly, quite enjoying herself and how easy it was to piss Demitrious off.

How cute, he's trying oh-so-hard to stay on Chii's good graces!

"Wellllllll see, the issue here is, these are specially made collars, by Josef. See the blood red leather? Yeah. His signature on our necks, basically. Little tag even says Property of Josef Verruckt. You sure you want us parading around with his symbol on our necks?"

Zuni scratched at her neck a little more, and painstakingly slow she stuck the collar back on, taking her sweet a** time since he was probably staring at her the entire time to make sure she actually did it.

"I mean, not to be harsh or anything, but he kind of murdered... you know... your father... It would probably look really bad if people saw his name on our necks. Just advice." She shrugged. She had absolutely no objective by bringing all this up, but she was curious how long she could annoy the sh*t out of him before he would snap in front of Chii.
