"Yeah, we were surprised too. We thought he'd kill us before he'd befriend us" Eragon replied to Light's first comment. When he heard the second one though he paused. "Yeah... It appears so. Then again, I heard Iblis was the only one being nice to him at the beginning. So it makes sense for him to grow close to her over everyone else" Eragon replied. He sat down next to Light. "It's been a long time since you two have seen each other though. It may have seemed like a nap to you, but its been 5 long years for Iblis. She may not know where you two stand right now. It's just a thought. Nothing too serious I'm sure." Eragon added. It was a good point. Things may have changed over the last 5 years. Or maybe Eragon was wrong and things were just fine.

Iblis noticed D.L's joy turn serious and wondered what was wrong. When he turned to her though she knew it was about her. Iblis became anxious and quickly covered her arms with her hands. She took a step back and stuttered, "N-No. It wasn't the robots... It was... uh... An accident with fire..." This was partially true. It was a flame injury, but it was no accident. Iblis quickly dashed up into the rafters. She almost couldn't get up, since both her arms were scorched. She whimpered quietly in pain as she pulled herself up. Once up she looked down at the people below, then at her arms, and then jumped a few rafters back. Her make-shift bandages had fallen off during the fight. Iblis looked down at her burnt arms. The scorched fur was stiff and rough to the touch. Dried blood lightly stained her once soft fur. She sighed sadly and sat down laying her arms in her lap.

Light sighed as he knew well enough it's been too long, it felt like a nap but it indeed has been five years since they've been together. He wondered what Iblis thought of D.L or what she thought of him. They have been best friends for a long time but since it's been so long since he's seen her. He doubted they were anymore close then good friends. "...to tell you the truth Eragon.. I don't mind if D.L likes Iblis in that way, as long as he doesn't hurt her. Although with what I remember... with some of D.L's memories, I don't think he'd dare harm her and if he did. He'd probably feel horrible about it but I'm just guessing since he seems so close to her." he said and looked towards Eragon. "I can tell D.L really does care for her... I have never seen him so close to someone before. It's heart warming and after seeing him also cheer up that kid, I swear I don't think hes the same D.L anymore." he added at the end.

D.L sighed and watched as she dashed off again. Nova also seemed confused. He somehow knew mentioning anything to trigger those memories, she'd run off away from him. It was starting to get on his nerves a bit but he guessed that whatever she was feeling towards him and Light. It was making her do things to herself that he wasn't happy about. He sighs deeply and decides to chase after Iblis, mostly because he was worried she'd hurt herself again. Although once he got there, he noticed her sitting there. "Iblis..." he said to get her attention, truthfully he wasn't sure what to say. He looked so confused and a bit saddened when he gazed at her. Why was she doing this because of him? or was it just something he didn't know. He looked away slightly, feeling really unhappy about these emotions. His chest felt like it was burning, like it was hard to breath but not really. It wasn't a very good feeling and he wasn't familiar with it at all. He even felt nervous slightly but he couldn't tell why. "...I'm sorry... seeing you like this... it... it really makes me worry..." he sighs deeply and continues to talk. "If it's my fault... I'll leave you alone for as long as you want... maybe forever if you'll stop hurting yourself because of me..." he said truthfully and looked at her sadly. Those eyes seemed a bit broken and lost in what to do. D.L has never felt this way before or seem so saddened, it was very rare to see him like this.

((AW D.L!!! Omg he shows emotions! My gosh this made me geek out so much. lol ))

Eragon smiled warmly as Light spoke. It was good to hear that Light wasn't crushed by the possibilities. Eragon couldn't exactly remember how close Iblis and Light were all those years ago. It has been so long, but he didn't think too hard on it. "It really is a surprise to see him like this. He's like a whole new person. It's pretty cool. Especially now that he isn't trying to kill us anymore" Eragon replied with a small joke at the end. The black dragon opened up a cabinet and took out a bottle of clean water. "Here" he said and handed Light the water.

Iblis heard D.L call her name and she flinched slightly startled. Iblis slowly turned her head and looked up at D.L. As he spoke tears began to roll down her face. A few drops landed on her wounded arms and she cringed at its sting. She saw the pain in D.L's eyes. The hurt. And the brokenness. Iblis looked away sadly. "No... You misunderstand..." she said as she slowly shook her head. "It's not your fault... This is all me. My lack of courage. My fear. I don't want to hurt anyone. And I'm so sorry for worrying you... I really am..." Iblis said but the lump in her throat was too big to continue. The she-wolf lunged at D.L and wrapped her arms around him. "P-Please don't go! We need you..! .....I need you..." she cried, but quietly so only D.L would hear. Iblis was heartbroken and had never left herself so vulnerable in her whole life. She was a wreck and was embarrassed beyond belief that D.L was seeing her this way, but she just couldn't keep it bottled up anymore.

~Kiro the Hedgehog~

The pain in his chest right on his scar felt raw and intense with stabbing pain. It made it a little difficult for his lungs to breathe, but it wasn't the first time he had this problem. Slowly as he inhales and exhales softly through his nose, his worries came creeping up about Light and Iblis. His memory was hazy, but he remembered seeing them both alive and well when he defeated Metal Sally. He was nearly ready to hope out of bed to check up on them. Until the sound of everyone's voices could be heard echoing down the hall from his door. He could feel relief from his chest pain as he sighs,"Thank goodness...".

Light took the water bottle from Eragon and smiled a bit. "Thanks, Eragon..." he said and looked around a bit. "I wonder how Kiro is doing... he was in pretty bad shape. Hopefully he's getting enough rest..." he said after awhile of wondering where Kiro was. He guessed he was set in one of the rooms near by but he wasn't sure which one. Although as soon as he looked back at the others, Iblis, Nova and D.L, it seemed D.L and Iblis weren't there anymore. Nova and Nina just looked confused about something. This concerned him a bit in away.

D.L looked a bit surprised when she lunged at him. Although he settled down a bit, not use to the closeness but he'd ignore it since he'd rather cheer her up. He slightly but carefully moved his arms to hold her in a return hug. Being careful not to bump her burned arms, he didn't want her to be in more pain as it is. "I won't leave you... if you really want me to stay..." he replied back, looking sad still a bit. He didn't like seeing her so upset like this, it hurt just to see her cry slightly. He wasn't sure how to explain his emotions but he really did care. "I'm just really confused..." he added, looking so lost on what he felt. Even as she said she needed him, it was like a warm feeling grown inside his chest. He had no idea what that meant. He was happy, yes but it was something different then happiness. D.L blushed a bit as he felt so nervous thinking about it, he wasn't even sure why still. "I'm sorry for misunderstanding... it's just... I..." he paused, feeling like his eyes were stinging with tears. trying to come out but he was struggling to hold it in. He has never cried for years about someone, never feeling this before and feeling so upset before in this way. "I just feel so lost... and seeing you like this... it hurts... y-your the only one I truly care about in this world... without you... I don't... I don't know what I'd do..." he said and couldn't stop the flow of his tears. He seemed so sad to the point of breaking. He wanted her to once feel happy even if he had to go through a lot of pain to help her through it.

((Poor D.L has really broken down, it's hard to give him emotion without making him go out of character lol but I could imagine after all the stress, it'd get to him.))

"I'm so sorry D.L... I'm sorry I've caused you so much trouble and pain... Please stay. Please don't go" Iblis said between sobs. The she-wolf looked up at D.L and when she saw the tears, she tightened her grip a little. The guilt that was building up inside her forced more tears to fall. "I just... I need you... I don't know what I'd do without you... You've gone through so much to keep me safe and protect me... It really means a lot to me. I would've died on multiple occasions if you weren't there..." After a pause she added, "...I feel safe when I'm with you... Maybe even something more..." Iblis said the last part in a whisper. The she-wolf buried her face in D.L's chest as her tears slowed down.

Eragon heard Light and nodded. He wasn't sure either. "We can go check on him if you're feeling up to it?" Eragon then saw Light's expression and looked out at the others. "I'm sure they're fine. Don't worry. If Iblis has wandered off, I'm sure D.L will be there to protect her" he commented about D.L and Iblis. He could tell Light was a little worried. "Shall we join the others?" Eragon offered with a smile.

D.L's tears fallen but he only cried silently, trying to pull himself together though. He felt so embarrassed for crying in front of her. Although hearing what she was saying, it made him settle down slowly. Soon his tears were drying away as he tried to wipe them away too with his one hand, but as soon as he dried his tears away. He saw Iblis bury her face in his fuzzy chest fur, it made him blush a bit. Not sure what she meant fully about something more. He wasn't very good with understanding emotions. "I'd die inside... if I had left and something happened to you.." he said truthfully, she was the only person he cared about more then anyone else. Nova was like a child he had to take care of as well but Iblis was something more. As he thought about it though, it made him wonder if Iblis cared more about him like that as well. Maybe that's what she meant by something more sorta? He couldn't tell fully what she meant. "Iblis...? What do you mean by something... more?" he asked, his expression showed that he was confused. "Do you care so much about me..?... Although Iblis.. to say the truth... I really do care a lot more about you then you know.." he said and looked completely nervous on telling her these weird feelings hes been getting. It was pretty embarrassing to talk about but he wanted to know what it is. He gazed away slightly, like he was being shy about something.


Light drank his water from his water bottle slowly, only taking sips once in awhile. Although he heard Eragon and looked towards him. "Well... we should check on Kiro first. I do want to see how hes doing since he had a rough time earlier back there.." he spoke truthfully, glad D.L was taking care of Iblis so well. He guessed that he could trust him now that hes not like his old self anymore.

Balto nodded to the group and took Metal Sally behind the warehouse. He was looking for a proper place to bury the deceased robot. He travelled only a few miles away until he found the remains of a forest. The trees had been scorched, blackened like the ash that floated in the air. The grass was dead and the wildlife had abandoned this place. And yet, it held some sort of calming charm. This was a place where the dead could indeed rest peacefully. He went ahead and buried the bot, saying his peace before returning to the others.

Upon his return, Balto saw that Nova and Nina where still around, as well as Umber; posting up by the wall. But Iblis was missing. He didn't question it, however. This was an underground operation that was being run here. Surely they all had something important to do.

"Now since that's been taken care of, allow me to introduce myself more properly." Balto began. "My name is Balto, true enough. But I'm not a Mobian wolf. I'm from Angel Island."

Umber's ears perked up once heard about the floating island. He remembered the stories that surrounded the place, but didn't think that any of them were true.

"Angel Island? Well what are you doing down here?" Umber asked.

"I've come to Mobius to lend my services to this organization." Balto replied. "When Eggman began his conquest, he didn't leave Angel Island out on all of the fun. The 'good' doctor has waged war on the island time and time again, but he's been defeated. This time, however, he didn't wage war. He merely stole the power source of the island that keeps it afloat: The Master Emerald."

The wolf sighed a bit before continuing his story.

"After he took the emerald, the island crashed into the sea. A few of my kinsmen and myself were all that survived the crash. The only way to get the island back into the sky is by recovering the Master Emerald. I had heard talk of a group of Freedom Fighters banning together to stop Eggman. So here I am. I hope you will allow me to join you in your quest for victory."

Umber kicked off the wall; arms still folded with a gaze at Balto.

"Tch. You don't have to act so formal, ya know. We all want to get Eggman just as much as you do. He's made life here a living hell. Just talking about it makes me wanna break something."

He then turned his attention to Nina.

"Since Iblis and the others are back, what's our next move? Obviously we can't fight him head-on, but there's gotta be something we can do.

Light stood up and smiled at Eragon a bit. "I'll go ahead and visit, Kiro. I bet hes awake by now." he said then walked over to the rooms near by, being careful not to rush since he was still sore. He and sighed slightly, guessing Kiro might be in the first room because no one was using any medic rooms yet. No one was seriously injured but Kiro. "Kiro? Can I come in for a bit?" he asked as he knocked first and listened for any answer back. He didn't know Kiro well but he was always making sure everyone was alright, even if their strangers and don't know much about each other.

Nina looked towards Umber slightly, sighing slightly from being unsure on what to do. "So far I'm not sure what we can do yet... we are still planning." she said truthfully towards him. "If we don't plan carefully, we could end up falling right into his trap." She added and sat down on the floor, leaning up against one of the crates.

Nova sighed and decided to go and explore around the place a bit out back. Walking towards where the medic rooms are since he heard chatting back here.

~Kiro the Hedgehog~

"Ugh...get a room...-///-'", he grumbled silently in annoyance as he ruffled his hair over his flustered face. Listening to D.L. and Iblis exchanging emotions brought relief that they finally made up. But he's not usually the type that enjoys those kinds of moments....at least not anymore. Mainly, it's just hard for him to focus on his thoughts. After staring at the wall in thought for what nearly felt like hours, his attention was caught by the voice of the mobian from earlier known as Balto. The moment he heard him mention he was from Angel Island, his ears perked up and clears them out with the tip of his finger. He listened out to the whole conversation but remained in bed staring at the wall like a statue. Suddenly, he heard knock on the door and heard Light calling out to him from behind it. He only responded with a sigh and said,"Whatever...what do you want?". His tone had a bit of an attitude behind it. But didnt seem to care whether anyone wanted to check him. After realizing what happened out there during his fight with Metal Sally, he's not even sure if there's anything to hide anymore. If Light were to come in, Kiro will remain sitting up on his bed and staring at the wall in front of his bed with that same cold distant look in his eyes full of shame and regret.

Eragon nodded to Light and followed him over to where Kiro was. After hearing Kiro's response to Light, Eragon slowly opened the door. "We just wanted to check on you. How are you doing? I've got a couple med supplies if you want some." Eragon offered. He wasn't aware of what had happened while they were gone. He could tell by Kiro's mood though that he had been through something. Eragon decided not to pry at Kiro's private life.

As Iblis calmed down, she let go of D.L and stood. Iblis blushed a bit at his question and hesitated a little before answering. "I... Well... Um..." she babbled slightly as she tried to figure out how to explain this. She kept her voice in a quiet whisper, just realizing that the high ceilings may have made their voices echo a little. "Y'know, I've kinda noticed that. You seem to pay far more attention to me than anyone else does. I could tell that you seemed to favor me" she whispered, but paused before continuing. Seeing D.L so shy made her want to giggle, but she held it back since she didn't want to make it worse for him. "...I do care a lot about you... There's a name for it y'know. For that feeling you can't explain. When you care so much about someone that you'd do anything for them. And do anything in you're power to keep them safe and always protect them, and you just want to be with them forever..." Iblis paused again and quieted her voice more just to be safe. "I'm not sure if this is exactly what you feel... but it's called... love."

Light noticed as well that Kiro didn't seem happy about something. Although he wasn't going to ask why. He sorta guessed what it might be about or if it was about that weird faze that Kiro turned into. He wasn't fully sure if it was about that. "I also wanted to thank you for saving me and Iblis back there, even though we weren't really your concern... You saved us anyway." he said with a small but sad smile. He wasn't even sure if Kiro was aware of his surroundings while he was in that faze. Although it seemed he sorta was back there at that moment. Whatever happened to Kiro, it sorta reminded him of that one time D.L had lost control but unlike the chip that was controlling him. There was a time that D.L couldn't control his dark energy when the negative energy overflowed.

Umber sighed and threw his hands down in frustration. After seeing everyone return with battle scars, he was more wound up than ever to take on Eggman. His heart sought action but he knew better than to do something reckless. The little girl hooked up to the heart monitor kept him from acting out of turn. He rubbed his neck and nodded at Nina.

"Right. Guess all we can do is wait for now. Well, I'm gonna go in the back and warm up on the bag. Call me when some s**t breaks loose."

He headed toward the back of the warehouse, where the training supplies and gear were stored. Balto just remained seated and watched as Umber disappeared from view. His tail swished back and forth as he gave a slight smile to Nina.

"He's a bit of a loaded pistol, huh?"

~Kiro the Hedgehog~

"I'll be fine....nrgh", he replied weakly to Eragon as he suddenly held his chest in pain. The pain wasn't burning anymore but it still had a slight stabbing sensation. Ignoring the pain while still gripping his chest, he says,"I don't remember much. I probably wasn't intending to save you, but...your welcome". Intending to hide his suffering, he maintains his composure so doesn't discourage anyone or make himself look weak. His breathing became heavy for a moment until it settled as he asks,"Did...anyone get hurt? Hows Iblis?".

Nina sighed then looked at Balto and crossed her arms. "Yeah... kinda but I don't blame him. Eggman has caused a lot of pain." she said and looks away slightly. Feeling a bit sad since she knew most of the war that has happened. She was mostly involved in it with G.U.N fortress.

Nova sat down and looked away, thinking deeply about his home. He missed the old Eggman but since he couldn't go back. He'd rather stay with the new freedom fighters then go to that evil man. Nova had D.L and Iblis that cared for him now and he wouldn't change that for anything.

Light didn't noticed much but the heavy breathing Kiro was doing for a moment. He wanted to ask if he was alright, but he didn't want to annoy him since Eragon asked already. "Everyone is fine and Iblis is alright too. No one was hurt or anything... just a bit exhausted from the fight." he said and smiles a bit, although he was pretty sore for saving Kiro back at that building when it collapsed. Light was lucky to be still alive and not crushed by it. He still had a few burned marks though and bruises. Mostly ignoring the pain though but Light looked very exhausted as well.
