That did the trick. Her eyes were back to normal and reacted to what Alec did, "OW!" scream "Hey! What's the big idea!" she rubs her nose and shakes her fist. It seemed she had no idea she was under a trance to begin with, which is strange that even a magic user like Kerana fell under. With the amount of will they have to use to cast their spells trance enchantments normally had no effect.

Alec waves his hands defensively and stutters out, "Ah! I-I-I'm sorry. Your eyes changed, you were under a trance. I think there is something wicked in those posters. It made you want to turn in Ms. Trinity for the reward. That wasn't like you, so I had to snap you out of it."

"Oh? That's really strange since usually such enchantment don't effect us that much. Hmmm... " she looked back at the poster not reading it, "Why would it need a powerful enchantments? You'd think the money would be sufficient enough. Granted it would be nice to have that kind of money. Heck it would pay off my student loans. Yet, we are no bounty hunters. Besides who'd want to be one? Have you seen the way they dress?" shudders went down her spine all the way down to the puffy white tip of her tail.

"I think there's more to this than we first thought... Do you think we should at least give Trinity a chance? We need to figure out why people need this much convincing."

Meanwhile Trinity went to the blacksmith shop was let in and started working. Here the normal rules don't apply. All kinds of low-lifes with talent in this trade would go here to make some money to get by and Trinity was no exception. For once the place was empty, this meant that Trinity could get more done in a shorter amount of time. She placed her green trench coat near the entrance and put her black bandanna on, which kept her hair out of her eyes.

While she was working, on shaping a sword at the other end of the shop someone took her cloak.

Alec kneels down and picks up the parchment. He holds it in his left hand while he places the middle and index fingers of his right hand over his eyelids. He takes a deep breath and invokes the spirits of his wolf brethren. He removes his hands from his face and opens his eyes. The have changed from his dark inviting eyes to the golden calculating eyes of a predator.

He looks over the parchment, his eyes pinpointing the source of the enchantment. "Its this symbol here on the bottom, the mask. It's practically sweating dark magic. There is a possibility that Trinity has been set up."

Trinity just finished selling her crafts to the shop keeper at half of what they are truly worth. It didn't take the shop keeper long to realize that this was good craftsmanship when he saw it. He gave her a bag of 300 gold. Trinity thanked the man and stepped out and took her bandanna off then reached for her coat. Only to find that her green trench cloak was missing. Shed looked around and saw a thin man wearing it holding a big bag of money. It looked like he was heading toward the forest.

She looked across the street and saw there was a bank. She said to herself "Well that's not a smart place to put a bank..."

The teller came out and saw Trinity with her bag of gold. "HELP! THIEF! GET HER!" Shortly there was a crowd surrounding her.
One of the crowd members lead the charge with "GET TRINITY!"

She swore under under her breath and let her bag of gold sink into its shadow in her hand. As the crowd pounced on her.

"You know, Alec, that makes sense. That was the last thing I remembered before you flicked me. I knew she couldn't be all ba-" Her fox ears picked up something which made her quirk an eyebrow and turn her head toward the source of the sound.

Kerana's ears slopped down "It sounded like Trinity may have robbed a bank." she looked back at Alec as people started rushing by them to join the angry mob. She sighed to herself, "I guess that's what she meant by 'make money'....She's not helping herself any if she keeps pulling things like that." she said shaking her head.

Alec's eyes return to normal as his ears match Kerana's. "Awww, it's gonna be like this the whole time isn't it?" His face displays a mixed sense of emotions, as though he isn't sure if they should help her or not. He knows what Kerana wants to do, and that there is little chance of his convincing her otherwise.

He sighs heavily and looks over at Kerana. His voice comes out despondent as he mutters, "I guess we could do the red riding hood distraction."

The suggested plan is something he dislikes doing, but has found it quite effective since the general populace seems to hate werewolves. He had made mention of it jokingly to Kerana once, and actually had to use it at one point.

"Just say when and I'll start "ravaging" you."

Kerana liked playing the victim but she didn't like putting her friend at risk. Was Trinity really worth saving? She has been nothing but bad news since the forest. She paused and thought about it And remembered why she gave her a chance to begin with. One of the things she had to look for in an adventurer was one that had morals, her actions spoke louder than words when she found that she didn't kill anyone. She wanted to ask her why she didn't kill them. Wouldn't it been easier to do that then knock them out only to have them go after her again?

She saw the crowd, no amount of shadow traveling could detour this mob. At least not all of them at once. No matter how good a fighter she is, she would need some help.

She nodded at him and went with him to the nearest dark alley so that he could change and so that witnesses could not connect the werewolf Alec to normal Alec.

Alec makes sure that no one else is looking and then blushes deeply when he asks Kerana, "Could you...uh...please turn around. I don't want to ruin these clothes so...erm...y'know."

As soon as he is sure she isn't watching him he strips down to his underpants and starts the change. He bites down hard as his bones crush, stretch, shift, and pop. He drops down to his knees when his feet force themselves into a digi-grade stance. He chokes back the desire to cry out as his face stretches out into a muzzle, the sound escaping his lips instead sounds like the noise he would make if he stubbed his toe. His skin itches like a million ants as the fur works it's way from his face to his now present tail.

He stretches out and stands, wobbly at first but then he gets his baring when he lets his tail balance him out. He turns to Kerana and says, in a voice that is a little deeper and gruff, "Okay, you can turn around now. Ugh...it's getting better but I don't think I'll ever get used to the face stretching thing."

He hands Kerana his satchel, which now contains the clothes he was wearing a moment ago. He takes a few practice growls, "Argh...no wait...grrrr...dang-it...harrllll, okay that's good. I'll catch up to you guys as soon as I shake the angry mob. You go ahead and take the lead, I'll be right behind you."

Kerana took his satchel and nodded. She closed her eyes and takes a deep breath and she runs out and screams
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! WEREWOLF!!! RUN!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!! "

The crowd turned around and saw the fox girl running. She couldn't be making this up and this is more serious then taking care of the thief. A huge chunk of the crowd head in Kerana's direction.

Alec works up some spit and allows his jowls to look wild as he snarls and snaps at Kerana's heels. "Rowlaaaaacrap!!!"

He hadn't anticipated this much of the crowd coming after him. His ears fall flat as he turns on his paws and makes for the wood line. He falls to all fours to keep ahead of the angry mob, pumping his skinny wolf limbs as fast as they can go.

As the crowd pounce Trinity she dropped through her shadow and watched the group fight amongst themselves a little. She emerged and called out to them "Hey looking for something!?"

The chase began, it felt like she was running from a heard of bulls with pitch forks. She goes into a shadow in a wall. As she emerged she found herself surrounded. This was more than she normally ran into. She lead this group down an alley where she could start taking them down one by one. Once she got to the end of the alley she got into her stance.

The first guy comes up and tries to swipe her with her pitch fork, she dodged pushed the pitch fork to the side causing it to be stuck in the wall then hit the guy's chest causing him to be winded and dropped unconscious. She leaps onto the staff of the pitch fork the use it and the other wall to push off kneeing the next person down. Then she does a hand stand shoving her feet in the third crowd member. She got on her feet and elbows the forth one down. She did a bear claw punch pushing the fifth guy to the right. She ducked for the sixth's guy's left hook. She does a low round house kick causing him to land on his back. She was ready for more but found that the mob was going a different direction. It was the same direction as the thief went. She starts heading toward the forest dropping through her shadow heading to the woods.

Kerana went back to where she last heard about Trinity only to find a line of people laying on the ground. She saw foot prints and followed them. They suddenly stopped at halfway toward a forest, "Oh no, she's in there too." Kerana went into the forest trying to track Trinity. Alas Alec was better at tracking than she was.
