Not only that... but if there isn't a judge around for a deathmatch, there is most likely going to be an arguement over who won, why they won...etc... >>' Let's face it. And Diez, I mean a tourny that is both lethal and nonlethal. That way characters don't have to hold back in fear of killing their opponent like in a normal match, but they themselves don't have to worry about being slaughtered like in a deathmatch. >o' that way, everybody's happy.
A sparring thread of some sort would be good as well... even an RP school... we select a few people from places like the FFA or the O/M who show potential to be good RPers, and PM them to ask if they'd like to be apart of this little..organization. They say yes, we send an invite. They say no, we go about our own business. If that's a possibility, a limit would be good to set up... no more than 2 or 3 low-literate or High-Newb class at a time to make sure we're not overworking people who'd like to teach... and at the same time we gain members who might be valuable to the guild. ;3

Alright, now, do we have any style experts among us? I want our Guild Home to look as nice as possible, but I've never had much of a sense of style. A nice looking front page can attract many members. Any advice?

Perhaps a banner at the top... something eyecatching and realistic and abstract things.. detailed..but not overly detailed and well balanced... with contrasts of light and dark.. and perhaps a bit of a cartoony/anime feel to it. >>' Change the colors to go with the banner, add a few different ways to allign things that catch the eye.. different sizes in the lettering of the keywords and titles of things... a bit of a design around that.. like.. .:: Gaian Coliseum ::. Or perhaps little pictures on either side...

put a divider in where needed to split certain things.. indent at the beginnings of the paragraphs..

and I'd say that'd be about it, unless someone else would like to input. >>'

Hmmm... I like the idea of a no-holds-barred-but-no-one-dies tourney. But I don't really like the idea of a school. This is a literates-only guild. I require that people at least be smart enough to learn from watching others. The Coliseum is for battle! Not pansy-teachings! We kill and smash stuff, not color pictures and do arts and crafts! Yarr! twisted

I require that people at least be smart enough to learn from watching others. The Coliseum is for battle! Not pansy-teachings! We kill and smash stuff, not color pictures and do arts and crafts! Alright, I'm going to work on the various rules for individual battles (IE, when the battle ends, how the winner is decided, when the Judges [Crew] can intervene, etc).

After that, I'll work on the front page some more, and start sending PMs to skilled RPers, politely requesting that they join.

I think we might even want to have a small sample battle, just to show everyone how its done.

Oh, and I need all of you to fill out the character sheet on the front page and post it in the character thread topic, plz. Thank you. mrgreen Remember, IC, you will act as my lackies, settling disputes that get out of hand, managing various aspects of the Coliseum, etc. Arcavior will be co-owner of the guild along with me; Leonard and Wolf are our employees. Ill get to work on my profile either today or tomorrow. For now, you guys let me know if you have any ideas for any banners and what not for the guild, that you want me to work on in Photoshop. For now, Ill keep working on the Signature, and keep you posted.

Hmmm....Welll....Unless Tom is going to change his character in here....only Willow and I would be compatible to fight...unless we decided on letting the warrior take on the Dragon King.....then Tom and Willow could fight, heh.
