Evelina had her foot pressed on the side of a man's head. She put more weight on that foot, her face red from who knows what. "Freaking preverted thieves." She muttered. Behind her there were two more men sprawled out near the wall. She must have fought considerably well considering the lack of noise and their quick defeat. It also could have been that this particular lot of thieves was just plain ordinary, or in other words weak. Her ears picked up the sound of a voice and an opening door, which took her attention away from her newest victim, who was left groaning in pain.

A bead of sweat, total moment killer, rolled down the side of her head in an anime chibi fashion. "Heh heh..." The girl laughed nervously, knowing her cover had been completely blown now. It was bound to happen sooner or later anyway. Evelina slowly took her foot away from the thief before turning and shooting off down the hall without a word.

[[And so...she runs. xD ]]

Kitana watched as the intruder ran. Having an idea, she turned to Kinta.

"Before you can be of use to the guild, we must rid you of that vow you made. I order you to kill the intruder and bring me back her head!"

Kinta remained where he was, glaring at his former friend.

"Do it or the princess will die!" Kitana threatened.

Giving Kitana a look of pure hatred, Kinta ran aftr Evelina.

[[I wish I had an excuse to bring Amaya in. ^-^;; I suddenly misses her!]]

By now most were aware of the intruder. Watching an unfamiliar girl run by and then seeing that she was being pursued by Kinta on top of it was little more than suspicious. Evelina didn't have the time to run around thieves and tables, so she resorted to jumping over them. In the case of low tables and stands, she merely jumped on top and then took off from there. She knew she was being followed without having to look back. The cheering as well as the confusion around her told her that much.

Before she could make it safely out the cavern's door, Evelina felt two strong hands take hold of each of her arms. The men gave her a toothy grin as they pulled her back further into the main room. The air about her was starting to change bit by bit, and that worried her more than anyone else. "I suggest you let go." The warning came out clear and calm. She wasn't worried about her future demise in the least, rather she was warning them about their own. No one took her seriously. No, instead she was mocked.

"I warned you." Evelina's sing-song voice was followed by the men at either side of her yelling out in pain. She had pushed off the ground and flipped back, her skinny and pale arms slipping out of their grip and instead holding their arms in place this time. So when she flipped, their feet remained on the ground and their bones made sickening snaps. The white solid pushed out through the skin, and the blood actually brought a sparkle to Evelina's eyes. She turned around casually, facing the rest of the room. When she smiled, fangs had been locked into place.

[[No, she's not a vampire. Something close to it, but not quite.]]

Kinta caught up to Evelina. A dagger was clutched in his hand. He slowly approached the girl. Evelina could see in Kinta's eyes that the genome would rather die than take her life. He got closer and raised his dagger.

"Too slow." Evelina got behind him with amazing speed. The only reason she didn't attempt to hurt him was because this entire sitauation on his part wasn't being done willing. If someone he cared about was involved like she had heard through her eavvsdropping, than she could sympathize with him. All she had to do was stay out of his way. She reached for his dagger with another burst of speed, trying to get a good grip on his wrist. Brute strength was boiling over, so if she got ahold of him it would be quite the trick that got her to let go. Her claws, which must have grew the moment her fangs did, retracted bit by bit so she didn't accidently injure him.

Kinta quickly looked around. Sheathing his dagger, he grabbed Evelina and slung her over her shoulder.

"Pretend you're in trouble," Kinta told her as he ran toward the guild exit.

Evelina blinked in surprise. Her self control really came in handy at times like this. She could smell blood in every last person surrounding her, and close contact with the stranger "Atnik" wasn't helping. She pushed the thought of food into the back of her head. Her pride would be at stake, as well as her families, if she gave in to hunger.

The girl's strength faded away, making it seem like Kinta had sucked it right out of her. Which, in the end, only made him look more intimdating. She thrashed around a bit just for show. "Let go of me!" She demanded in a voice that rose over her normal tone as her expression filled with a new found panic. "Let go!" The sound became more shrill and a few of the thieves cheered Kinta on in the background, buying the act completely.

Kinta ran out of the guild, out of the broken down building, and into an alley. He placed Evelina on her feet. "Are you alright?"

A shiver went down the girl's back before she could answer. Her mouth was opened slightly, making the decreasing size and ferocity of her fangs clearly visible. Her claws had disappeared completely and that blood thirsty yet strangely playful look in her eyes faded away. In a more human form, the temptation she felt earlier left her alone as well. "Yeah..but will you be?" She answered, frowning in concern.

"I don't know. I... what ARE you?" Kinta asked, seeing the fangs and claws.

Etsuko hesitated. "That's a difficult question to answer." She chose her words carefully. She didn't care if they were stuck on a deserted island and there wasn't one living soul that could possibly over hear her; she was NOT taking the chance at ruining the life her family built up for themselves here. Besides, she didn't have to answer and that was a good enough reason not to by itself for a rebellious teenager. The girl glanced toward one end of the alleyway. "They'll know you didn't kill me." She pointed out, returning to the original topic.

"I can't come back without your head," Kinta said. He sat on his rear and slammed his fist into the earth. "Dammit! I don't know what to do!"

Etsuko glanced over at him out of the corner of her eye as her frown deepened. "Why do you have to go back at all? Couldn't you just run?" She remembed the bit of information she learned from her eavvsdropping. "The Princess of Emi will be fine. From what I hear she hangs around quite the group of warriors and friends." She pointed out, refraining from asking questions no matter how curious she was about the truth behind the many stories floating around about Emi's royalty.

"You don't understand. There are some very bad people in that guild," Kinta said. "I know my friends are not to be underestimated but still... And with Kitana as the leader..."

"What if you got to your friends in time to warn them? Then they could all prepare, including Princess Amaya." Etsuko suggested, wanting to help the stranger who seemed lost in a desparate situation. When it came done to it, she was quite the romantic. The second she heard love was involved, which she had drawn from Kitana's threats earlier, she was sold. Besides that, she couldn't stand how depressing he looked right now.
