yep saw it the other night, now i gotta brush up on my smash skills.

i tried using a max lvl figure fighter once to have as a sparring partner (since they fight smarter than a lvl 9 CPU) but... they also have their stats in a normal smash, so my luigi hits for like 20% on any kind of single hit strong attack...

I'm 29 god damn years old now, several of you are over 30. Wild how time passes. How often do people even check in here? No posts in over a year. (Though someone, perhaps, is lurking in the wings, waiting to comment "Actually, I never stopped checking!" )

As little as I have to do with anyone from around here now, we all share some sort of connection from our time spent together in this virtual space, talking about video games... instead of, I dunno... engaging in more-intimate, but more-scary in-person socialization.

There's nothing fake about virtual interaction. We were all real people, in real places, on the other end of the wires.

I kept in touch with some people for years after I stopped checking on this site regularly, but have since drifted apart. I think we were all more alike than different in some ways back then, and that's what probably brought us together. Perhaps we are still alike, but that wasn't something that kept us together anymore.

These days I spend my time on Discord with cooking and fitness nerds instead of Nintendo nerds. It's not a huge difference. My self worth has gone up a bit, and I try to be a better self-advocate... but my preferences for socialization, at least, has been a constant.

whether people do or don't change at their core, I guess the dynamics of a group are still just as volatile and as transient as the moments that we live in. This was a moment. We shared it, till it passed. Now we're in another moment.

Even now, as you read this, the moment I wrote this in has passed.

Though as poorly defined as a moment is, maybe this was just a sub moment within the greater encapsulating moment. At any rate, I think it must fall on the outside of the moment that this Gaia Online Guild was.

Anyway. There's not really a discussion to be had here. I don't think I've really said anything of any consequence.

Whoever you have become since we last spoke, and whatever moment you find yourself in, I hope life is treating you well. I wish you prosperity and growth.

It is pretty amazing, isn't it?
I sometimes wondered if I've been remembered, and if I was remembered fondly.

I'm... still a huge weirdo. I still collect dragons, collect games (and make a large Google Doc of ALL the different ones I own), and have boardgames and such.

I've moved countries and am with my fiance, who I met from Gaia.

And, I agree with you Kegan- in the sense that it's pretty astounding.

I have a few of the people I met here on FaceBook- so I can still be a lurker while passively agreeing with posts.
Through stuff, I've seen that many I have met and befriended are Genuinely good people.

We all effected each other in some ways.

It's pretty amazing.

I've watched a bit! Korone is great and I've been watching some clips of the new English Hololive members. Obviously Gawr Gura is one of my faves, fish motif so good

I look fondly. At least.. I mean, it was a whirlwind, but the people I did meet were nice. The few I have on facebook are also awesome.

As for the vtuber rabbit hole... no? I haven't seen it.

I've instead put a lot of my time into Co-opping Spirit Farer and trying out the game The Sinking City on the switch (since the developer got into disputes with the distributer, they took it off most places). Actually a pretty decent sleuthing game!

And Spirit Farer makes me cry. I mean, if you want t be hurt in ways that you don't expect, play the game. ;_; It's really good.
