Tsume shrugged, "we can go for a run. part of what i do is check the peramiter, make sure everything's as it should be. you can come along, i'll give you a ride again. this time you can actually enjoy it, though."

Leo turned pale when he saw the thing in the king's hands. he lost his appetite and lowered his knife and fork, forcing himself to swallow the bite in his mouth. he knew he had to keep eating, for the babies' sake, so he began again. this wasn't the first time he'd have to endure every bite and force himself not to vomit it back up and it probably wouldn't be his last either. "Well, thank you. and yourself?" he smiled, his bentien smile, but it was all he could manage with that thing in the room

"I don't mind checking the peri--" And paused hearing he'd be riding Tsume again. "That sounds," horrifying. No. Never. Too fast, he'd be clinging for dear life. He couldn't do it. "Lovely. I'd love to try that again." What was he saying he didn't want to try that again how awful was that?! "Though we have guards for that, Tsume. But I'd be more then happy to accompany you."

"Leo, you need to eat." Elliot said, watching the Falian hesitate before turning back to his father. "We're doing well enough."

"That's good. Lovely. Lewis!" and sat down beside his own lover across from the other two. "Now tell me about our gift!"

"Gifts. The first one is that weapon right there which was shot at Ipo. You would have to ask Kashi how deep it went inside I didn't get a closer look. I haven't analyzed it or looked it over but it's safe to assume it has a finite amount of smaller weapons, it is just the host."

"How interesting." Alvaro murmured, picking the gun back up, pointing it at the floor as he fiddled with it. "Aha! I opened it!" and placed it on the table, small metal capsules falling out. "Are these what hurt Ipo?"

"It was going so fast we didn't see it. Secondly. A way to take out babies from mothers who can't give birth." he tossed the paper onto the table. "They use a sort of sleeping agent before slicing into the womb and removing the child. With that and this weapon the Kaspians are going to start a war."

"You have to admit, they're clever, unethical and the worst kind of people, but clever."

"Father you don't understand! Leo is both Falian and Retian descent! He is carrying both of those country's heirs along with our own!"

"I can see how that would be troublesome. Perhaps you have triplets?"

"Father!" Elliot scolded.

The man chuckled. "I understand, however there is nothing that can be done. They know nothing of these children and at this moment hold no sway over the Retian government unless heard about."

"Fire in the sky!" Came a screech from the halls before the glass of the window broke, a rock landing nearby.

Elliot stood and picked it up, uncurling the letter.

You have fired a shot which rang 'round the world, my prince. Thank you.

"That fire is heading toward Reta." The king murmured as he touched the glass of a different window, watching large balls of fire rain down, looking slow in movement. "What clever birds they are."

Tsume looked Kashi in the eyes, "i've a rather good sense of smell, Kashi. and right now your scent is telling me two things. one is that you are scared and the second is that you are lieing. so which should i believe? you words, or your scent?"

Leo continued for force himself to eat, "that thing" he said bitterly, "can kill anything. hundreds of my people, even those steeped in magic, our most powerful fighters, were killed with one shot." he didn't look up until he heard the breaking of glass and then it was only to see the 'fire'. "What is she doing?" he asked in horror, standing up and grabbing Elliot's arm. "She means to start a war with Reta? Elliot, what will we do? how-if we war with Reta they will send spies, assassins, everything to this place. word will get back to-to him about me. about the babies! what will we do?" he was starting to panic, feeling sick and wanting to throw up what little he'd eaten.

"My words, please." And took a step closer nervously. "I'm not hitting on you, Tsume, but I rode on you once so I can do it again." and blushed. "That sounds much dirtier then wanted but you understand me, yes?"

"I pulled that trigger." Elliot said. "When I tried that weapon, I pulled it and signaled to the rest to start. I just caused a world war." He murmured, looking at Leo and reminding himself to stay calm for Leo's sake. It was very hard. "Don't worry. The security will be raised. Reta has no one to blame but Kasp for this act. No one to blame but Kasp, I promise."

"Prime Minister," Alvaro said, turning to the man. "Raise the security around the castle and send messengers to warn all towns. Send them by horseback, by foot, have them ride dogs if you must. Everyone must be prepared. Prepare the security, I'll get the messengers out. Elliot, when we're done with all this I have news for you. Until then stay with Leo."

"Yes sir." and watched his father walk out, nerves dwindling. "Don't worry, Leo. Everything will be okay. We have the best army, remember?" and kissed his head.

Tsume shrugged, "As you-" he stopped midsentence before running out of the room and to a window, looking up. "s**t-" he whispered, watching the fire fall from the sky. "The f*cking hell is that?" was it heading for Falia? was that woman going to destroy the whole forest this time? but no-it didn't look like they were high enough to make it to Falia at the rate they were falling. to then...reta was it? "Dear gods-we must warn our people." the war would turn to them as well. this was something of magic orient, and their country being so strong within the magics, it would make sense that suspicion be turned towards them.

"Righto-" Lewis replied, saluting before running out. this was bad. so very, very bad.

LEo swallowed and looked up at Elliot, "there is much to be done, isn't there?" he felt faint, but he made it back to his seat before letting his knees give out. "do the gods really hate me so much? why all of this, why now? we were finally happy!" unbidden tears filled his eyes and he had to bury his face in his hands, hating that he was crying because he knew it would hurt Elliot but unable to not express all of these emotions somehow.

Kashi looked up as Tsume did, eye widening. "Holy Cleansing." he murmured in horror as the fireballs fell. "What is the president doing?" and covered his mouth. Where was that headed? Falia? Reta? It looked to close to be Falia. "Tsume, Tsume I'm so sorry."

Elliot nodded, helping Leo to his seat and watched painfully. "No, Leo they do not hate you." he said, leaning against the table to face the Falian. "Leo, Leo I am always happy when I am with you and thinking about you makes me happy. Please Leo." and belt down, gently taking the hands away from the teary face. "Leo, no matter what is going on I will always be happy with you. Please, you are my only light at the moment. Please."

Tsume shook his head, "it's not your fault, Kashi. this isn't your doing..." he pressed his hand to his chest and closed his eyes, "i need to go. Leo." he looked at Kashi long and hard, "come with me?" he didn't want to leave the hare, but he wasn't going to force the man to come along.

Leo's face twisted up with guilt at what he was doing to Elliot. "i'm sorry, i don't mean to cry, but-we were happy. for just on moment. that woman was finally gone and you said you loved me and we were so happy! why did that have to change? why did that woman appear?" he dropped his head, "and now everything's gone. what's going to happen to us, Elliot? if-" his voice began to shake, "if my uncle learns of these babies, of the power they will posses he'll stop at nothing to take them for himself. even if it means cutting them out of me himse..." he paused, turning white. "oh gods, do you think that is why she gave us that medical procedure? so he could cut them out of me?" his arms automatically wrapped around his stomach, as if he could protect their children with such a feeble gesture.

Kashi nodded. "I'll come along. I need to check on the girls." And Ipo. he had to see how Ipo was taking this. "I need to make sure they aren't panicking. I'll follow you inside, Tsume."

"We still can be happy, Leo. It will just take time and patience." he said, wanting to cheer the other up. "Nothing is gone, please Leo. Your Uncle will have to go through an army before reaching my, my father and uncle. We will defend you and the children with our lives, Leonard." and stroked the tear-stained cheek. "I am sure he has to be a licensed doctor to do that, Leo. It's medicinal, not torture." and pressed his head against the other's. "Leonard don't worry. Be happy, I love you, we're both safe and Father doesn't mind the twins. We will work through this, I won't let anything happen to you or our children. I promise."

Tsume nodded, "Nix is asleep, we should check on the triplets...well, i'm going to probably be making messages to Falia so i might not be able to help..." he frowned as he hurried to the dining room, "we might have to summon one of the shadow demons. it will make conversing faster..." but he was muttering to himself now.

Leo nodded, forcing himself to calm down. he was only hurting Elliot now, he needed to control himself. he could do that. he was good at it. "of course. i'm sorry, i didn't want to make it seem like i don't trust you or your army. besides, with those-those things, our men will have an even greater chance at winning." he forced his face to smooth out and smiled warmly at Elliot, "but we cannot know the war with be directed towards us, as you said. who but Kasp could have sent those fire things? his eyes should not be upon us, forgive me for over reacting."

"Shadow demons? From Falia?" Kashi asked. "I-is there anyway I can help?" He was awful, putting his curiosity before the triplets. Before Ipo. "Tsume? Is there anything you need?" Kashi was so terrible. So incredibly selfish. He bet Ipo wasn't this bad.

"No, it's not that you don't trust our army, I just want to comfort you." He said softly. "And you're right, with those things we will win." But seeing Leo's face become warm Elliot's own became stern. "Leo, don't you dare do that. Leo if you're panicking you have every right to panic. I'm supposed to be strong for the both of us." but listened. "Judging by the direction, it has to be Reta. Everyone knows Kasp lives up in the skies. Anything from the sky that is not weather comes from Kasp. Please, please panic again I prefer you panicking over you faking. Just continue to cry if you must. I'm sorry."

Tsume smiled at Kashi, "actually Leo has to be the one to do it. i can do it in times of absolute need, but it's rude otherwise." they reached the dining room and he lead the way in, not bothering to knock since Leo would already know he was there.

Leo felt his face slowly fall, the facade breaking at Elliot's words. "it could harm the babies," he whispered, "i can't panic. i can't give in. it's not ok, not safe...." he looked up as Tsume walked in and nodded, already knowing what the wolf was going to say. "i need to summon him, don't i?" Elliot wasn't going to like this, "my love, do you remember meeting Hasta? back in Falia?" Elliot hadn't been too fond of the demon at that time...

"Is it a powerful spell, then?" he asked, opening the door for Tsume and walking in behind him.

"Everyone has worries, the babies will survive." The prince gave a weak chuckle. "Your panic is spread between them both so they get healthy amounts?" White ears perked as the doors opened, silver eyes focusing on the ones entering, the wolf and the hare. Summon? "I remember Hasta." Elliot had managed some sort of tolerant truce with the demon, though he was still at odds with the demon. "What is it you need to summon him?"

Tsume shook his head, "it's not a question of power. more of what is proper. Leo is technically the leader of our people right now so it is proper he should summon them, unless he is unable to for some reason."

Leo smiled, at least Elliot didn't seem angry. "it's not too much of a spell, actually. it's very simple and Hasta has given me permission to use it since i was a child." such a privilege was rare indeed, but during his captivity his powers had been so tightly bound that he was unable to perform it, even though he tried again and again. LEo stood and moved to an open spot before biting down on his thumb. he cut the skin and turned to face his shadow, letting a drop of blood fall, "Hasta, i have need of you." the drop hit the shadow, causing the dark spot to ripple unnaturally. "he's-" Leo frowned, "he's here, but he entered through a different shadow....but whose?"

Hasta felt Leo's call and grinned to himself, instantly coming to the man, but he felt the prince's presence there too and decided to be a nuisance. instead of appearing there, he aimed for another area where three small shadows were combined, giving him a good gateway in. HAsta stepped through and looked around, finding himself in either the study or toy room of three little girls whose shadows he'd used. "hello there, have any of you seen my prince around here?"

Kashi nodded. "That makes sense, then. He's a shadow demon, you said? They exist?"

"Then that is fine. He is welcomed into the castle." and helped the pregnant one up onto his feet before following him. Was it wrong to observe that Leo waddled ever so slightly? Best to never mention that. Leo performed the calling, watching the blood fall into the shadow before a moment of silence. And then

"He's... he's here, but he entered through a different shadow."

"Best we go look for him, then. Lord only knows how the maids might react so such a sudden appearance. And from a shadow."

"C'mon, Tsume." Kashi said, gently tugging at the sleeve.

Three heads turned, matching eyes widening at the beast which silently entered their room.

Emily was in shock, opening her mouth to try and articulate a response but it was Annabelle who screamed bloody murder, throwing her toys at him and grabbing anything else close.

Martha quickly took the stance Tsume had taught her before going to charge and attack the demon. Whoever he was he wasn't going to leave here without a bruise.

Tsume frowned, "damned demon. he's always playing games like this doesn't he know it's important?"

Leo took Elliot's hand and spread his other one forward. "Seek," he whispered softly and his shadow shot forward, leading the way to the demon. "he's this way." Leo started after his shadow, a dark line showing the way, but he was tired and still overly emotional, so he couldn't move very fast

Hasta held up his hands, dodging toys, "hey now, i don't mean you ladies any harm..." but the short haired one was charging him in typical Tsume fashion, "well, at least i have the right place." he shook his head and stepped to the side of the girl, scooping her up with one arm so she hung from her waist at his side. "oops, he's sent a seeker on me. guess he'll come to us then. you ladies going to let me explain myself or am i going to have to keep dodging until Leo gets here?"
