"How?" Ashley was now looking at him. She wasn't about to let him put them or himself in danger for her bike, it just wasn't worth it. They had to leave it behind now and then it hit her, there had a wagon out back. They could strap that to the bike somehow. "We have a wagon out back by the shed could we use that somehow?"

"What do you mean how?" Ricard teased her. "Shouldn't my word be good enough? And there could come a time when we need a quick getaway, or need it to serve as a distraction." What Ricard didn't tell Ashley was that he was especially imagining a situation where they would be surrounded and he could either send Ashley on the bike to safety while he held them off for her to escape, or he could use the bike to distract the zombies away from Ashley. "A wagon huh? Hhmm, I don't know. It'd have to be a pretty sturdy one to withstand being pulled apart by a motorcycle. Not to mention we'd have to find some way of securing Harley in it so she doesn't fall out."

Ashley looked to the left as she rubbed the back of her neck in thought. "Well you're right about that. I don't know it's up to you." She didn't want to talk about this anymore. If they were going to leave Flame they needed to do it, if not then great but they needed to leave and soon if not now. "We need to go"

'Hhmm, she's in a rush all of a sudden,' Ricard thought as he looked back down at the bike. Whether he was making a mistake or not, he wasn't sure, but Ricard just couldn't let go of the feeling that the bike would come in handy, and given how the world was falling apart around them he was going to have to trust those feelings as much as possible if he wanted to live. "Good, it's settled then, the bike comes with us." Ricard went to start brining the bike into the living room before he would go back to grab the rest of his stuff, and stopped. Looking out of the broken living room window, he could see several zombies roaming the street outside, and those were only the ones he could see. He was certain that if he got closer that he would see even more of them, but he didn't want to risk drawing their attention by doing so. He looked back and saw the lone zombie from earlier now roaming the backyard.

"Well," Ricard said with a sigh, "it looks like we may be wanting to take a back way out of here. I don't suppose you have any bolt cutters that we can use to get through the fence with?"

Ashley watched him walk into the living room. Then put on her headphones and moved one to where she could still hear him. "Yea, right here," as she grabbed the cutters from on top of the fringe. She wanted to be able to concentrate not on him or his very nice body. To her surprise the first song to play after she turned her mp3 player on was "Can you feel the love tonight" from the Disney movie Lion King. "That's ironic," she can't help herself, it was too funny to not laugh at.

Ricard looked at Ashley a bit increduously as she pulled the bolt cutters off the top of the fridge. "Seriously, you keep bolt cutters on top of your...you know what, forget. I'm quickly starting to learn not to question anything about this house." He said it with a smirk as he walked over and grabbed the cutters. Ashley's laughing then caught his attention. "What's ironic?"

Ashley handed the cutters to him. She tried to tell him but couldn't so she just took off the headphones and handed them to him. "Listen to that song" she had finally regained herself leaving only a smile, but soon was lost in his eyes as she started looking ... no staring in to the most perfect eyes on the face of the earth. She could hate him and still be in love with those eyes, the only part about them she wasn't sure if she liked was the fact that it fell like they could see everything she didn't want anyone to know.

Ricard took the headphones and listened to the song playing, but still couldn't see what the irony about it was. He looked at her, watching her smile and then seem to stare off as in a daze. He wasn't quite sure what to make of it, of any of it. "Um, whatever," Ricard shrugged as he handed her back the headphones. "Well, we better get going then I guess." Ricard walked over to the counter and slipped on his backpack. "When you're ready grab your stuff, and take the bike with you and meet me out back." Ricard then took hold of the bolt cutters and went through the backdoor. The zombie out there went to greet him, but was met with a sickening crunch as Ricard whacked the heavy bolt cutters across the zombie's head. He then proceeded to the very back of the yard and began cutting a hole into the fence.

After he goes to the backyard, Ashley starts wondering 'what the hell? I need to focus that's the reason i put the headphones on in the first place.' She put the headphones back on picked a song called "Still Alive." Then she threw her pack over her shoulder, grabbed Flame, and said, "Harley let's go." Harley stood up and followed her to the hole Ricard was making in the fence.

Ricard made sure to be aware of his surroundings while cutting. The yard he was cutting into was zombie clear, though he had no idea what the street on the other side would look like. It had to be better than the street they were avoiding, however. He did see blood splattered against one of the windows of the house before him though. Something had gone on, but he was hoping it was restricted to just the house itself, which they had no reason to enter. They had enough supplies for now. As he was halfway through the fence, he could hear footsteps behind him, but instantly knew they belonged to Ashley. They weren't slow and dragging, but steady and true. It also helped that he could hear Harley walking beside her and the motorcycle being dragged through the grass also. "Well, I'm almost through," he said without turning to face Ashley. "If you plan on doing anything with that wagon you mentioned earlier, now's the time."

Ashley put the kickstand down and left Flame with Ricard. She went over to the shed and grabbed her tool belt, putting it on, and going over to the wagon. She started by taking off the handle and attach a few brackets to the side of it. "This might just work," she said to herself. She was working as fast as she could, but Ricard had the advantage of starting first. Ashley had three things left to do. These things were to put a roof on the wagon, make one of the sides a door, and attach it to the bike after they got it through the fence.

With one last snip, a three foot section of the fence came free and fell back to the ground, leaving behind a decent sized hole to travel through. With that done, Ricard turned to see the progress that Ashley was making. She seemed to really be going at it, but still had a way to go yet. Ricard was impressed with the dedication she was putting into jerry-rigging the wagon for Harley's use. "Hey," he called out to her, "while you're doing that I'm going to scout ahead." Ricard then placed the bolt cutters down and picked up one of the metal rods. Gripping it in a defensive position, Ricard then slowly made his way through the opening in the fence. Placing his back against the house, he then sidled his way to the right side of the house. Just like Ashley's house, there was no fence blocking off the front yard from the backyard, so when Ricard had reached the end he could see clearly toward the street. There were no signs of zombies yet. Still keeping close to the house, Ricard slowly made his way to the street. So far, so good. When he had finally reached the front yard, he took a look around. The street wasn't completely deserted, but they were few and far between. Ricard counted only 5 zombies that were standing around in either direction. "Good, this should make escaping easier."

Ashley felt relieved when he said he was going to scout ahead. That would give her more time to modify the wagon. Soon it was all rigged up, she took the bike through the hole first, then the new side car. After both parts were through she started to put them together. After that was done, she went looking for Ricard with Flame and Harley.

Satisfied that the street was pretty much clear, Ricard turned to head back to Ashley. After taking a few steps there was a crunch beneath his feet. He looked down to see broken glass littering the ground before him. He had managed to avoid it earlier since he was sidling along the wall. Ricard looked up and saw a window right next him. The glass was broken, and on the pieces that remained in the frame dried blood lined its edges. Curiosity got the better of him and Ricard walked over to look. The window stood at roughly head level with Ricard, but he stood on the tips of his toes nonetheless just for a better view. The room he was looking in, what he assumed to be the living room, was completely trashed. Furniture was torn, or knocked over, and blood coated almost everything. Sprawled over a broken chair was the mangled and bloody body of a little boy, maybe 7 years old at most. Some movement near the edge of the room caught his attention, and Ricard looked to see a blood, covered woman on her hands and knees just barely out of view. He couldn't see precisely what she was doing, but he could make out a leg beneath her and could hear the sounds of gnawing.

Ashley started looking for Ricard, and saw he looking in the window. She pushed the bike and side car over to him as quietly as she could. When she got close enough she asked he, "So whatcha staring at?" Harley went to the other side of him and started nuzzling him hand.
