Zhai struggles once Kiro suddenly gripped his neck, he didn't have time to react quickly since he wasn't expecting it. He didn't think Kiro was going to go out of control like this. What was even more surprising was what Kiro started to look like, it was like Kiro was a completely different person. Well more like he just suddenly change into a demon. "K-Kiro..." he struggled to gasp out those words, starting to lose a lot of oxygen as Kiro tightened his grip.
Until suddenly the real Kiro within realized what he was doing. Letting Zhai go as he lands onto his hands and knees, gasping for air finally and coughing slightly. He was taking deep breaths and steadying his breathing slowly now. "M-Man... I thought I wouldn't get a chance to snap you out of it in time." he said and didn't seem too shaken up by Kiro's sudden transformation. Almost like he kinda already knew about the demon inside him, but he truthfully didn't expect the change suddenly like that.
"You really need to control that part of yourself... I wouldn't want you jumping on anyone else like that." he spoke truthfully and stood up.

(Im Sorry about that. I tried to hint it where Icould hgive you the option to react but I guess I couldnt make it clear enough since I was tired andits been a while. And as for losing control. Maybe You should have Zhai ask Kiro himself. Sure Zhai had demon powers, but he apparantly has known Kiro since he was little and im sure he'd be positive he never showed any signs of demon power. "I...I...Im so sorry..", the young hedgehog panted heavily as he began to sweat bullets running all down his face. The red glow in his chest slowly started to fade. He was weakened and almost limp like a broken toy the way he sat leaning his back against the wall and hiding his face in shame. He was still more focused on trying to catch his breathe and fight through the sudden fever he was feeling in his head. Apparently the energy from the transformation has some sever risk factors. Lucky for Kiro, Zhai was able to reach out to him in time before his mind went completely under from the corruption. Even so, another fact reveals that the dark consciousness in him somehow responded to Kiro while a part of his mind was still pure not to attack his friend. Perhaps it was a sign that this power he has acts somehow defensively to protect its host. The big question was, what could have caused it to trigger. "I...wasnt trying to hurt you. At least I didnt mean to.", he was still panting. Kiro seems to remember what happened barely as if he knew exactly what his dark side was doing, but was too blind to see clearly from the rage. It proves that even in darkness, Kiro couldn't never allow himself to hurt a friend. If he actually wanted to hurt Zhai, he wouldn't have taken his time and hesitated. He would have just tried to kill him the moment his hand grasped his neck. Instead, he just looked at him as if he was trying to figure out what he was doing. He actually thought he had Cyber Eggman in his hand, but something felt wrong. All he could do what slowly move forward until his instincts kicked in, telling him it wasn't an enemy. He saw through the corruption the energy was causing with his mind and stopped himself.
What ever was inside Kiro, was obviously a very complex case even for a demon.
"Its just been so long since I felt this kind of pressure.....huff...I'm so sorry Zhai....", his voice shook as he was still unable to move for the moment. As frustrated as he was, he was deeply relieved he didnt take another friend's life just like he did with Sally. Possibly because he didnt know it was actually her. Still, his silent shame batted at him like an angry wild cat in the back of his mind, causing his fever to worsen,
Arch sighed and walked over to kneel to his level, he didn't seem mad at all just concerned. Like he looked at Kiro as a younger brother. Zhai had taken care of him ever since he first came to the freedom fighters back then. Even if this wasn't the same Kiro from his time, he still respected him and saw him as Kiro still.
Nothing really changed his mind, even if Kiro was different. "Ah don't worry too much.. I'm not angry at all, besides it's not like you knew what was going on at first." he smiled a bit, although he still seemed worried. Mostly because Kiro looked so exhausted. "What happened anyway? Why did you lose yourself like that? If you can't answer right now.. you don't have to. You seem like you're extremely exhausted right now." he wondered if he needed help to stand though, but he won't rush him until hes ready to stand. He guessed Kiro would probably need a long break after what happened.
Truthfully Arch wasn't even sure if that form was a demon, but it's energy seemed very similar to one.

The young brown hedgehog's pale turquoise eyes met with Zhai's for just a moment then immediately looked back down in shame as if he doesnt deserve such kindness. But at the same time, he longed to see such a face again. He slowly takes a deep breath as he could feel his temperature start to fade a little. "Dont worry, I'll be fine....huff....It hasnt been that long since that side of me took over so I should be okay in an hour or so. You see....where I come from things turned out alot differently, as you can see...heh?", he joked solemnly under his exhausted breath. His fake smile gestured that he was ready to explain as much as he can, but isnt while to go into any deeper detail than what he has in mind due to lack of knowedge and his own personal reasons. "In my World, Eggman is still his old crazy self. I'm pretty sure of it. And Sonic and the others are still alive and well...except.", Kiro stopped reluctantly as he could feel the weight behind his words began to clump into his throat. After what he's been through recently before entering this alternate timeline, it was hard for him to talk about it. But after what just happened, Zhai and possibility everyone else deserve an explanation. Zhai was right. Kiro can't let himself risk more lives if he keeps everything about himself in the dark from every. So he thought it would be best to at least warn them about what is happening to him. "Something very bad did happen in my timeline, but it only happened to Me, Kouta and everyone I knew back at home in Brightwood City. I cant really tell you much about since I still dont know what happened. All I know was I saw people getting killed, building crumbling and these strange things that were attacking. During the struggle, Kouta, My foster family, my friends and everyone else who lived there are dead.. And I ended up getting shot through the heart.", he explained as he took a moment to take a deep breath again and coughed lightly. "Ahem....the whole thing happened so fast, it was like a nightmare I couldnt wake up from. Even now, a part of me still thinks I'm dreaming. So anyway, I didnt see who shot be, but it did take me a minute to realize I was dying with a hole in my chest. As my whole world started to go black with the flames around me as my only light, I saw a strange woman in a robe of some kind. I couldnt see her face,but she said something to me. I cant remember what she was trying to tell me, but the next thing I knew, she pushed some kind of strange light in my chest. It had this horrid glow and it pulsated like it was alive or something. I felt this burning pain filling up inside my chest and it went all the way through my whole body like I was being burned alive from the inside and all these strange voices and images started flashing directly into my mind. It was too much, I blacked out. And when I woke up, the hole in my chest was close, but I ended up with this scar. Somehow I was alive again, but I couldnt feel my own heartbeat anymore. But more than that....I myself havent been the same eversince...", Kiro stopped for a moment for Zhai to let it all sink in. Then he continued trying not to go into too much detail and only explain things more briefly so he can get to the point.
"And as for the short version on how I ended up here, I went after the ones who destroyed Brightwood, I pursued them, then there was a big flash of light during my fight with the on who was leading them and somehow I ended up a thousand years into the future. And let me tell you,it was not a bright future at all. it was nothing but a wasteland of death decay and abomidable cybernetic creatures. Not quite the same as the ones that attacked Brightwood, but almost similar. I called that place, the Deadlands. For two years, I spent everyday surviving on what I had. And almost every single day, that power in me started surfacing more and more as I fought with this new dominant legion overtaking the world. I Didnt have any interaction with humans or other mobains since there was no one left in that time. So yeah, its been a while since I actually got to talk to someone. As the days went by, I started to notice how this power works. I'm still not quite sure on the exact details on what causes it to trigger,but I do know it acts as a defense mechanism when ever I'm under sever stress, suffering fearful anxieties or especially rapturous rage. I just let go and try to kill everything around me since I knew the whole world was my enemy. I had no control at all, but I didnt care. But it didnt take long for me to notice the side effects. The more of this power I us, the more it strains my body. It almost acts like a poison or an infection of some kind. Sometimes, i would get dizzy, nauseous, have a fever or even pass out once I let go. Knowing of this, I taught myself how to fight without it and use it as a last resort by blocking my emotions while I fight. I just let my needs for violence take over so it can be satisfied. But there have been some occasions where it took over during times I could not explain...", that last sentence he said didnt very honest. As brief as he tried to make his explanation, there was alot more to it than Kiro led on. Still, it was only important for him to only explain the important details that will help benefit everyone else around him.
"I found out the chaos emeralds still existed and I remembered how Shadow explains how two of them can be used simultaneously to open a time portal using chaos control. I fought my way through the deadlands to the overlord to get the second emerald and to have some payback. After defeating him, I used chaos control and I ended up here instead of my original timeline. At first I thought I goofed up because it was my very first try, but I'm starting to think it's more than that.",he closed his eyes in shame for a brief moment and sighed in frustration, which followed a weak cough. "When I was staying in the deadlands, I had nothing holding me back from allowing my killing instincts to take over. It was so easy to control at the time because I was in grieving and I had no friends or family with me. And I havent had any social contact from anyone who wasnt trying to bite my head off or shoot at me. But now that I'm here...", Kiro stopped as he lightly wrapped his arms around his knees, yet showed no sign of emotion behind any of his words. Only regret and self pity. He wont admit it in words, but It seems what he's leading onto is that now that he's having social contact with others again after so long, his feelings he had to bottle up for so long are resurfacing again. Which is a clear sign that he's beginning to bond with everyone and is developing fears of watching them suffer or get hurt. Seeing everyone so scared and helpless, intentionally Killing Sally, Dez,s taunting, Worrying about Sonic imagining what he had gone through and seeing T.D. getting horrifically injured must have caused his cap to pop after taking in so much. "I think I real reason why I'm here is because the emeralds must have known how dangerous I've become. What I...have been turned into...", he convinced himself believing that there might be no chance of him going home because he knew what he's capable of. And he was not happy about it. "I dont know what this power is or what its trying to do to me. But I do know I'm alive again because its a part of me now. It's inside me.", he stroked his chest to gesture where it was coming from. "And as long as its in me, I'm a threat to everyone around me. Because I felt it's nature everytime it took over. And I can't bare to let Sonic and the others see me like this. But I know I have to go back,even if my chances of going home are stacked against me.", he doubted himself but was still determined to go home again. "I found filed documents about what happened during those passing years after what happened to me back at home. The enemy I faced disappeared, but more problems came some time after. Something bad is going to the mobius in my timeline. Something much worse than what your all gong through right now. And I know I dont deserve to go back, but still......I cant leave them behind...not like this", he gripped his fist tightly in frustration. Kiro was truely convinced that even fate itselt cannot allow Kiro to rise and meet it face to face for the upcoming battle head of him after this. Yet he still wasnt going to give up yet. Even though Kiro has changed alot during such a difficult time, his devotion to the people who he saw as the only family he had left is stronger than ever.
However,as dangerous as he proclaims himself to be.there is still a glimmer of hope. He wont admit that the strain of worrying and trying to protect everyone is allowing his emotions to surface again, which will prone him into possible having another episode again. Bit what Kiro didnt notice that his dark power maybe have the potential to kill innocent people, including friends, it seems to have a need to respond to his true feelings. Which is what saved Zhai from getting his neck snapped. There actually might be a chance that Kiro can learn to somehow control it one day. But right now, it's only a risk factor and a liability due to his lack of knowledge of it.
"so this explains alot, why you never had this... demonic power in the past.. It's the only thing that's mostly different from our timeline." Zhai spoke up after listening to the whole thing. He wasn't sure if the others would hear though from being in the other room. He bet they would hear though, if they listened carefully. "I'm sure you'll be able to get to your timeline... we just have to find another way somehow. Truthfully though Kiro... you may not have a heart where it once was.. but that doesn't mean you can't feel emotionally. So in away you still have a heart." he said truthfully and he smiled warmly. "If you didn't have one... well I'd be able to tell then."
He then thinks deeply as he sat beside Kiro, his expression serious a bit. He was looking away from him trying to figure something out it seems. "Kiro... it seems to me like your transformation might be triggered by anger.. or sad emotions, possibly even both really. Even my transformation kinda acts the same way, but I found away to control it, without it going out of control. Mostly my sister is better at controlling her demonic powers, so her transformation last longer then mine. She was actually the one that taught me how from the beginning, but we never told anyone or let anyone know that we could." he said and frowned a bit, mostly because he and her feared what everyone would think of them.
Zhai looks at Kiro slightly and shrugs. "I guess we just feared what everyone would think, and possibly lose my job as a freedom fighter. So when no one was around, we'd train together and learn to control it better. We only did transform if we were doing missions alone, though Alice wasn't in the freedom fighters yet. She was training to be back then... before the car accident.." he sighs and looks away a bit. "Anyway.. I'm just saying... if you need anything, me and Alice will back you up all the way. We understand what it's like to have power that's hard to control, so we wouldn't mind helping you as best as we can." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As TD was still laying on his side, resting sorta in away. He was also listening well on Arch and Kiro's conversation. He had pretty much recovered from the annoying ringing noise in his ears, so he was being silent and just listening to his surroundings. He wondered if the others were listening, but he couldn't tell. He had his eyes closed, since Nova would complain if he wasn't resting.

Balto leaned against a wall while the others continued to nurse and address their wounds. He wore a smile of relief when TD managed to pull through his injuries for the sake of Nova. It seems that their bond brought forth hidden reservoirs of determination that the wolf would have never expected to see. By the looks of things, TD was going to make a full recovery. So getting plenty of rest was the next item on the Freedom Fighters agenda.
While Balto was resting, he heard noises coming from the other room. He noticed that Zhai hadn't returned from assisting Kiro. Fearing the worst, he managed to get to his feet and exit the medical bay to look for his comrades. When he arrived, he saw that there was no intruder. Instead, Kiro had managed to pin down Zhai and was strangling him. What's more is that Kiro's overall appearance had changed drastically. He could visibly see the evil energy radiating off of him. The wolf had to rub his eyes to make sure that he wasn't hallucinating.
What is going here?! he thought to himself. Seeing Zhai in trouble, Balto was preparing himself to enter the fray. He had no idea what was going on, but he knew he had to save Zhai. As if on cue, Kiro snapped out of his frenzy and released his friend. His features slowly regressed to his usual appearance and the tension seemed to leave the area. It was here that Balto dipped around the corner and kept his ears up, listening to the conversation between the two.
When it was over, the wolf was speechless. It sounded like Kiro had been through Hell and still had a long way to go before he could ever find true peace. He sought to reach his own world once more to help his friends there. Knowing the state of affairs his world was in, and still choosing to fight Eggman instead of taking him up on his offer showed true loyalty. Balto respected Kiro's decision now more than ever, and silently vowed to help find a way to get him back to his own world. Once things seemed to cool down between them, he walked from around the corner and came into view.
"Is everything alright here?" ------------ Dezmodus quickly flew from the Freedom Fighters base into the city of Mobius. He was headed for the tallest structure in the city, a building dubbed "Egg Tower". This was main base of Eggman's operations. Where he and his most powerful creations lay dormant. The demented bat landed on the top of tower and folded his wings. As he got himself together, he noticed a figure standing on the roof of the tower as well. He smirked and cocked his head towards him.
"What cha' all dressed up for? You got a hot date or something?"
"The professor gave me the task of retrieving you." the figure replied, "You were taking a lot longer than the mission originally stated."
"Yeah well, there were some changes to the plan. Those Freedom Fighters are indeed an interesting bunch. 1,000 robots to their 5 fighters and we're the ones who had to retreat."
"So it seems." said the figure. "I could feel a negative energy source from here. We need to inform the professor of these changes and plan our next move throughly. The Freedom Fighters are the last annoyance he'll have to deal with. Once they're gone, no one will ever challenge Eggman."
Dez laughed as he headed inside. "That's the plan anyway."
As the bat left, the figure took one last look at the city of Mobius before heading into the tower as well.
Zhai heard Balto and looked towards him slightly, he stood up though as well. Not really sure if he heard all that or seen what happened. "Yeah, things are alright but... did you..? hear and see all on what just happened?" he said and kinda seemed worried for Kiro, kinda like protecting a brother in away. He didn't want anyone to be against him, just because he had trouble controlling this inner power.
Even if he was dangerous in that form he just witnessed, he wasn't afraid really. Although Kiro caught him off guard really, he wasn't expecting that at first. Though next time he'll be prepared to dodge or block, if Kiro goes out of control again.
Eggman seemed to be setting more camera bots, and making sure his most latest robots were guarding around the tower and inside. He wanted to make sure everything was ready and in place. He knew that maybe there will be someone foolish enough to try and stop him. Although he never let them get that chance, he always stayed up pretty much 24/7 near his super computer. He even had robots in his main office, just in case really. He couldn't be too careful, because in his case. There wasn't and he'd rather be cautious. Enough to make most of his robots and cyborgs guard each possible place they could sneak into.
Once Eggman was done with most of that, he decided to work on some projects. Mostly to check up on his main cyborg behind him, although facing a window once he turned around in his hover craft the egg mobile. He hovers over checking the view below closer, it was a high place because of how big his cyborg was. He had like a huge lab for it inside this tower, probably his most greatest creation yet. The look of it was like some beast from fairy tales, making it look like a dragon of all things.
((somewhat looks like this, I was going to draw my own. But I haven't been well enough to focus, too much in pain sometimes to even draw. So I'm sorry if I've been a bit lazy, now the battle thing I posted up. Should be useful for the up coming battles, if you want you can read it in the main forums))

The pair walked from the top of the tower to Eggman's Laboratory. When he wasn't in the main office checking the surveillance feeds, he was in the lab working on new experiments. These could range from weapons and missiles to robots and cyborgs.
As Dez and the figure entered the lab, they found the doctor working on his largest, and perhaps most destructive, cyborg to date. This was indeed his trump card. A special ace in case the Freedom Fighters proved to be more than just a mere annoyance. The figure walked beside Dez and announced his return to the professor.
"Doctor Eggman, Dezmodus has returned from his mission."
The bat smirked and walked further into lab.
"Hello, Doctor Eggman." he said. "I see you've been working hard on...what was the name of this project again?" ------------ Balto's eyes shifted from Zhai to Kiro before sighing and answering his question.
"Yes, I'm fully aware of the events that've transpired here." he said. "I was preparing myself to step in case things got any worse. However, Kiro managed to regain control of that berserk power and things managed to calm down."
"I know it isn't his fault, per say, that his power erupted out of control like that. Rest assured, I will keep everything here between us."
He then focused his gaze on Kiro before continuing.
"I hope you'll forgive me, but as I said before I heard everything the two of you were talking about. I had no idea that you travelled here from another world and timeline. I know you have friends and loved ones that you wish to get back to and assist. So I can't thank you enough for deciding to stand and fight with us. You have my word that once this conflict is over, I'll assist in any way that I can to get you back to your own world."
"As for your power, the best thing for you to do is tame it while you can. We can't afford having you go berserk like that while in the heat of battle against Eggman's forces. If you want, I can assist you there as well. I may not look it, but I'm somewhat of an expert on hidden talents."
The wolf smiled as he extended his hand toward Kiro to help him up.
Kiro sat there silently taking slow deep breaths as he held his hand to his chest to ease the pain from the after effects of that dark power. Even though his moment being nearly drowned into that power was brief, it still put a bit of a strain on him. Although, the pain started to fade right as he felt Zhai's presence next time him as he laid down this thoughts towards the young brown hedgehog. Kiro left his ears open to every kind word that left his mouth. Even though this Zhai is from a different timeline, he cant help but feel a surge of nostalgia from him. His voice, his scent, the way he moves and face, even when he was in his demon form, Kiro's feeling kept telling him it was really him. Although the whole demon aspect of him was rather new to him he always figured there was something strange about him and his family back when he was hanging out with them as a child. But since he was only a child at the time, he overlooked it. And now things seem to make sense. After he offered to help Kiro to learn how to control his powers, the young hedgehog could only respond by looking back at Zhai with not a look of appreciation nor prideful resentment as if he could have said he wanted to face this problem on his own, which is something he would say if circumstances were a little different. But it was actually a look of concern and worry in his eye. He remembered the last time he ever saw Zhai and Alice was at the funeral of their parents. As in every funeral, it was not a pretty sight. "Hey Zhai?...",Kiro was about to ask him something in his exhausted sigh. Until the wolf Balto came up from around the corner. Knowing from the look on his face as he approached. "Oh s**t. how much did he hear?", he thought to himself as he winced at the wolf his worry for a second. At this point, hewas too weak to show any protest or worry at this point. Deep down, he knew someone was about to find out sooner or later. Since D.,Light, and Iblis and possibly Alice knew of his secret at this point, it was inevitable. His head flinched back to Zhai when he asked the wolf how much he heard, unfortunately to no surprise, he saw the whole thing. Kiro was prepared to receive judgement with no regrets. But to his surprise, he looked up at Balto with a curious glimmer in his eyes whenhe stated the same thing Zhai did. They both admired Kiro for staying and fighting along side them. Both giving him a determnd look that they will see to it that they will find a way to get him home. And even offered to help Kiro learn how to control his dark power, which is was an offer Kiro had to regretfully decline. Still, Kiro gave Balto a faint weak smile to show that he appreaciated both Zhai and Balto's help and acceptance reguardless of the possibile danger inside the young hedgehog. He holds his hand up and allows Balto's power grasp to stand him back up on his feet again. However, Kiro was still feeling dizzy and had to lean back against to wall to hold himself up. "Dont worry about it.....and thank you. You were all bound to find out sooner or later I guess. So need to get better at hiding it", he ended his statment in a light but painful chuckle as it made him cough a bit. "Ugh...anyway. I'm sorry but I dont think either of you can help me at this point.",he said regretfully. "Believe me, I tried....for two long years trying to learn how to control this power. And it hasnt been easy. Besides, even if you could, we dont have much time now. When I said I was coming after eggman, he declared war on us. I never intended to bring you guys into it, but I actually wanted to face him alone. But seeing how I fought against Dez the way I am now, and with all the stakes going on. It looks like neither of you have any choice as much as I do. I'd say we have until dawn...", Kiro said solemnly as he stated the situation from his perspective. This is until he looked back at the kingdom. "But that doesnt mean him completly helpless. I perfer to never use that horrendous power....but I do have another way to fight. I'm sure you might have seen it while we were fighting those robot Dez brought over", he said as he slowly picked up his sword and held it up to Balto and Zhai for them to have a look at it. "Zhai. you remember this sword dont you? It was made after the first victory against Dr. Robotnik when Sonic and Sally took out his doomsday machine with the last peice of the powerstone. It was entrusted to Kouta when sonic declined it. From what he told me, it has the power to awaken the wielders latent abilities just like how the power rings give Sonic a power boost. But just like Chaos Energy, not everyone can wield ringpower. But somehow, Kouta must have known I can wield it which is why he gave it to me right before he died. Depending on how much ring output I have on this thing, I'm able to conjure some kind of wind power to enhance my fighting abilities. It doesnt give the same speed boosts like sonic, so I'm assuming it works differently for others. ", Kiro explained. but then he looked down at his katana with a frown. "Unfortantly I only have ten rings left. But Maybe this place might have a secret stash somewhere I can use".

((Sorry again for the slowness, I get sore easily and I still have neck problems and shoulder pain. So I'm taking it easy mostly.))
Eggman turned his attention towards Dez and seemed to frown slightly. "I haven't really thought of a better name for this project... so I just call it project Xero or just X for short... until I create a better name for it." he said but anyone could tell he was thinking about something else at the moment. Seeming to be kinda in a bad mood today, since he was pretty much scowling slightly. But as soon as he spoke, it became clear why he was.
"So I'm assuming you failed your mission? I don't see Nova with you, so it's clear to see. Although I didn't think only a few survivors would prove this difficult, Specially since they are a small group." he said then sighed deeply and turns his attention towards his prized creation. "I guess I miscalculated their chances of survival... They aren't normal survivors anyway, they got D.L on their side and this Kiro from a different dimensional world." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Zhai chuckled a bit and then smirked. He didn't mind really and he was going to fight against Eggman anyway. "You don't need to worry about dragging most of us in.. specially me, Kiro... I've had enough of hiding in the shadows as it is." he admitted and grinned with such a cheery smile, almost like nothing could break his happiness. Even if this world was as dark as it is, he'd fight until the future was bright again like the old times.
Zhai then looked at Kiro's sword as he explained about it and it's past history. Truthfully this was the first time he got to see it, since back then he only heard about the sword but not much really. He looks back at Kiro and thinks deeply, rubbing his chin as he thought seriously. He wondered if he had any rings here though, but he guessed there might be some stored away somewhere. "Might be in the storage area.. there could be more here then we know about."
Balto listened to Kiro's response about his hidden power. It seemed like for him, that hidden reservoir of strength was something he didn't like to rely on. The wolf could understand his reasoning, especially if that power was going to push their team into further danger.
When the young hedgehog apologized for getting the Freedom Fighters caught up in his battle with Eggman, Balto merely shook his head. Agreeing with Zhai, he knew that one day Eggman and his minions were going to attack them directly. At the same time, he knew that the Freedom Fighters were also going to have to take a major step forward if they ever wanted to see Eggman defeated and release themselves from this nightmare.
"You didn't do anything that didn't need to be done." Balto replied. "All of us knew that we would have to fight Eggman's forces sooner or later. While I do wish we had a better advantage over the situation, what's done is done. We'll meet him on the battlefield and emerge victorious. Simple as that."
Kiro then made mention of the sword that he was using earlier in battle. It appeared that someone from his world bestowed the blade onto him, and it served as a radical alternative to the forbidden power he kept locked up inside. The sword's strength seemed to rely on Ring Power, an energy source that was just as profound as Chaos energy. The hedgehog hoped that the Freedom Fighters kept a stash of them somewhere. While Balto didn't get the complete tour of the base, he hoped they had extras around as well.
"Let's hope so." he said in response to Zhai's comment. "As Kiro stated, we have until dawn to rest up and gather supplies. We need to use these next few hours wisely." ------------ Dezmodus scratched his head with an uneasy gaze before addressing his leader.
"Yeah...the mission was a bust." he began. "We definitely underestimated them. I mean, I knew the hedgehog had some sort of hidden power, but it seems like all of them have a transformation of some sort. Buncha' freaks if you ask me."
"He's not wrong, Doctor." the figure said. "The camera feeds from the robot sentry units showed that two of the other members seemed to trigger a higher source of power in order to finish off what was left of the guard."
"Right. Speaking of which, how many of those guys were fighting? I kinda forgot since I had my hands full."
"It seems that members of the main fighting force are Kiro the hedgehog, Umber the black dog, the Arch siblings-Zhai and Alice, and Balto the wolf. Not much data is known about that one, or Kiro since this one is from a completely different timeline."
"Right. So three of those freaks can transform, two of them we don't know anything about, and they still have Light on their side."
"Not to mention access to Eodunn's and Nova's powers."
Dez stretched and scratched his head before continuing.
"Yeah, we definitely have our work cut out for us. So, Doctor Eggman. How shall we proceed in dealing with those guys?"

((In this story o.o hes still called D.L, but I was going to switch his name to Eoduun somehow. Maybe just before he meets Eggman or when he does, cause truthfully D.L is just his project name. Meaning Dark Light for short, but Eoduun means Dark too. So, maybe only the dairies had that name written down and that's his real project name? Just trying to make sense for the confusion. Cause I don't want you guys to get confused by me using D.L as his name still in here.)) -----------
D.L decides to leave the others in the medical room. Checking to see what Kiro and the other two were up to. He was listening mostly nearby, leaning against a wall. Although he wasn't noticed yet by either of them, but that was fine by him. He didn't want to intrude in their conversation and just listen for awhile.
D.L was in deep thought though as he stared at the ground slightly. Remembering somethings before he was under Eggman's control, but didn't let Light know what he knew from his memories. Truthfully he preferred to keep things to himself, but he had somethings he needed to tell. Not just Light but everyone, even though he didn't want to believe it himself. He wasn't a normal being, but something else. Something that wasn't fully alive in away. Making D.L seem troubled slightly, mostly because this made him feel like there was no chance of freedom. Just making him feel like some kind of parasite.
Eggman started thinking deeply about how to deal with the small bunch. He had mostly both his favorite projects on their side, and truthfully was afraid that'd happen. He just didn't want to believe Nova had sided with them, plus he wasn't sure if he had. "Truthfully I'm unsure at the moment, but I do have a back up plan... I'm just being careful. I don't want to underestimate them again and fail. The group are more then capable to handle such a huge number of robots." he said with a serious look on his face, and deep down was somewhat worried. Mostly because he has never faced such strong foes without D.L taking care of it, but that was when he had control over him.
Eggman was still gazing at his newest project, Xero. Grinning at the thought of finally using his strongest creation, making most of his worry vanish. "Xero is complete in away, I was just testing it before finishing. So maybe I'll use Xero as my last resort if needed." he said and gazed at the two nearby. Seeming very eager to test out Xero and how well the survivors would do against all his other androids. "After all, Xero was my success in testing against D.L's strength and power. Even his ability couldn't harm Xero as he absorbs electricity, just like D.L can. Although Xero can control it way better, using it as a charge for his beam attacks if needed." He grins so darkly that it was kinda creepy.
"The only thing I'm missing is D.L AKA Eoduun, but once he comes to Xero... he'll be absorbed into the beast for more power. Even if D.L struggles, he won't be able to escape." he said then laughed for a moment. "All those old dairies about D.L proved pretty useful indeed. Although D.L will be separated from Light once Xero absorbs him. So even if Light does die, D.L won't die unless Xero does... hopefully nothing gets to that point though." He said but wasn't too worried, since Xero had very protective armor and probably the best hes ever created. "Not only will Xero absorb D.L, but also have the chaos emeralds for power. Sadly I don't have all the chaos emeralds, just six of them... but that will be more then enough."
Kiro was a bit surprised that this was the first time Zhai has actually seen the Power Sword. "I keep forgetting this is an alternate timeline. Almost everything has a different outcome....", he thought and looked down at his sword with a little worry in his eyes. Mainly, the issue for him was the question he wanted to ask Zhai earlier. He thought of asking Alice instead, but he knew there would be no way to get an answer out of her from the way she is. It seems its going to have to wait until he's alone with Zhai again since its sort of a private thing for him. He shakes it off when he takes notices the resolve in Zhai and Balto's eyes. A sight like that help encourage the hedgehog to focus on the task at hand. Prepare for War. All he could do was make a confidant smirk for them. But at the same time, he was worried, yet he kept a straight face not to show them.
The young hedgehog pries himself off the wall, tumbling a little from the fatigue catching up to him. But he quickly catches his composure and stands firmly to show he's making a quick recovery from the side effects of the transformation caused by the hidden dark power. He was lucky it didnt last very long or he would have lost consciousness....or worse. "Okay....we know of one thing. Eggman is expecting us, so he's gonna be throwing the big guns at us. Which means we need to bring out ours.", he stated, then he turns to Zhai. "Zhai, do you know where the main storage is?", he asked.

Zhai nods and speaks up. "Yep, just follow me. It's close by, but most of the important storage is hidden." he then walks past D.L as he walked into the medical bay. Although went to the back of the room, Zhai then stood at a hidden trap door. Once he entered a key code on the wall near him. The trap door then unlocked so, he knelt down and opened it. "So far this part wasn't found out by Eggman. Pretty lucky though that it wasn't." There was a ladder leading down to a basement storage area, and it seemed to have all kinds of weapons, ammo and such.
Zhai climbed down the ladder and stood near the first few rows of shelves. "This time we'll be prepared for sure." he said and smiles at Kiro a bit.
D.L was deep in thought still and his eyes were closed, almost seeming troubled or maybe just annoyed? It was hard to tell, since he always had such a serious expression. He hadn't moved at all as they passed by him, still leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.
TD perks his ears a bit, hearing the foot steps. Just as Zhai walked in, he opened his eyes but kept his position. Laying on the ground, but his head lifted to look at them. Noticing the secret trap door. "Wow, this place is full of surprises." He said and tilts his head slightly in a curious way. Nova was even surprised he hadn't noticed it.
As Eggman explained his plan, a wicked grin formed on Dez's lips. The doctor had everything planned out for the nuisances that were the Freedom Fighters. Egg Tower was a labyrinth itself, complete with hidden traps and security drones around every corner. Then there was the "Metal" unit, Eggman's robotized androids whose power output was on the same level as Metal Sally's. Then it was Dez and the figure: living beings with cybernetic enhancements. And finally, if the Freedom Fighters managed to make it past all of that, they would have to contend with Xero: Eggman's most prized, and most powerful, weapon to date. The demented bat could hardly await the screams of agony and torment that was sure to come from his enemies. They would dash in heroically, just to meet their doom by his hand. It was an all-too perfect plan.
"You're right, Doctor." he said. "We've got the upper hand in numbers, power, and the advantage of the terrain. Those fools will be coming here just get slaughtered. I can't wait to see the look of terror on their faces before I end their lives~ It's just gonna be too good!"
"Get ahold of yourself, Dezmodus." the figure said curtly. "It's your unhinged attitude that lead to this decision in the first place."
"Relax man. I'll admit, I got a little carried away and that caused me to lose focus. But that's not gonna happen again. Once they get here, their days are numbered."
The bat began to leave the laboratory before stopping near the doorway.
"Besides, they believe that they've got some real monsters on their side. I can't wait to show them what a real monster looks like. I know you're itching to fight them too. Right, Vash?"
A dark chuckle erupted from Dez's throat as he proceeded to his quarters. He had to prepare for the battle ahead. ------------ Balto nodded his head in agreement with Kiro. With the current chain of events, Eggman knew they would be coming soon. That said, the "Welcoming Committee" was going to be composed of some the doctor's best robot warriors while he held the rest in the shadows to strike at anytime. The tyrant was going to hit them everything he's got, so they needed to fire back with twice the force.
Zhai understood the severity of the situation and took them to basement storage area that was hidden in the medical bay. This place housed all kinds of weapons and ammunitions for the Freedom Fighters to use. The wolf began to look around for a weapon that complimented his fighting style. His eyes eventually settled on a pristine Bo Staff. He picked it up and gave it a few good twirls before coming to a resting position with it.
