Saved Woofmum (RP post)
Everything had ramped up so much that Reemus's memory of events was turning into a total blur. Nervit dug up...something...and if Sinter hadn't pulled them away, they might've lost her. And then they had stumbled upon the other groups, finally, and- and an utter monster. Something out of a duller nightmare, but horrible just the same. Looking at Aendal had made Reemus want to growl and whimper at the same time. The rainbowdrinker-jadeblooded-THING was just so AWFUL. Reemus couldn't look at those horrible floral eyes. If they were supposed to be eyes. If flowers could even do that. Plant stuff was complicated.
There was yelling on both sides, though mostly from the jadeblood, and then hell broke loose. Fire, fighting, and most importantly, trapped lusii and monster drones! Everyone scattered with different priorities. Reemus stood paralyzed in the chaos, until...he heard a familiar howl. With a gasp, he scanned the vine-controlled guardians. And among them, spattered with mustard blood on her fur, was Gillian!
"Mum!" Reemus ran over to her. Her vines made her immediately lash out, yes, but he avoided them the best he could as he pulled and pulled on her restraints. Eventually he turned to chewing on them with his janky teeth until they came apart. While Woofmum looked just as burned out as Reemus was, once she was free she grabbed him by the scruff of his collar and bolted away before anything else could take a swipe at either of them.
Once she dropped him out of harm's reach, he immediately hugged into her matted fur, just happy she was alive. From what he could tell, it looked like there were plenty of others who hadn't made it, and since they had been separated for so long... She had to growl at him softly to remind him that he was opening them up for attack, and there wouldn't be any mercy. They had to get their heads into the game, and fast.
"Okay," he nodded, and looked around. Teenagers were fighting the adult directly. Good! That left the goonified lusii for kids like him who didn't have any weapons to speak of. And Woofmum wouldn't let him bite that horrible jadeblood's ankles and neck for all the terrible things he was doing, anyways. "Uhhhh..." So maybe since he didn't do too shabby freeing his own lusus, he might have a shot at helping some others? Time to find out! |

AANDES is SAVING KOALAPOPS!
Koalapops HP: 40/40
Aandes saw Eostre go down as a lusus bowled her over. Lusii everywhere stormed throughout the cavern, fighting their charges and eachother alike. This was a new level of terror that Aandes couldn't perceive, but he stomached it as Eostre had when she returned the favor to her opponent. He scanned the cavern for his father. Aandes had been protected by one of these drones before. It was time to return the favor.
"Eostre, I think I see-- I think..." Aandes spotted a curled white tail in the distance, covered in vines. In the distance, a motionless lusus was curled amongst the dead. Koalapops. "POPS!"
Without thinking, Aandes sprinted towards his lusus. He dodged through the fray, stumbling over tangling vines and snarling lusii. His breathing was heavy and panicked. The wall of flames grew nearer and nearer until he could feel the heat against his face, and see the orange glow illuminate Koalapops' mint green blood on the ground.
"Pops!!" The troll slid onto his knees. The root system was entirely encasing the creature. With tears in his eyes, Aandes started to tear at the vines. They were wet and flesh-like, giving way beneath his fingernails. As he ripped them apart, they became more leather-bound, constricting on the lusus they restrained. His effort was rewarded with pain. Looking around, Aandes tried to make himself small. Lusii squealed and zipped past his head; he whimpered and tried to keep digging. His fingers began to bleed.
"Pops, no..." Aandes' voice cracked. The lusus came into sight. Matted fur and tiny scales were covered in a layer of fresh roots and moss. Koalapops' tiny hands held, limp, onto fronds and a clump of bloody troll hair. "Pops..."
Aandes put both arms around Koalapops and cradled him, rocking. "I need you... Please..." He held him up and gave him a shake - no response. "PLEASE!"
Aandes howled. He shook his lusus hard, begging as the koalameleon's head lolled back and forth. Finally, Aandes rolled him onto his shoulder and screamed into his fur. He looked like he was sleeping. But he wasn't. Koalapops was dead.
Hhhnghgh--snork.
No, wait. Koalapops was sleeping.
Aandes pulled his guardian back and looked at him. A leaf that hung from his furry mouth was sucked back in. Koalapops began to chew. Aandes started laughing. Tears streamed down his face. "Oh, thank gog..."
Aandes gave and received a bear hug. Rejuvenated, Koalapops was ready to fight. He started to chomp on his remaining restraints in the meantime.

Milieu Did 5 Damage
In the dark, walking in that cold tight tunnel, Milieu was left only with her thoughts. While the others could converse and respond yo Vrykol's questions, the mute troll was incapable. The loneliness that has permeated her prior interactions increased ten fold. Teal tears traced her checks as she slogged slong, dead down in the gloom. Right as she was young to resign herself to sadness, Vremea reminded her they could use morse code. She did care... Milieu was glad for the darkness then as she tapped messages back and forth. It covered her flushed cheeks. The walk was good for one thing: resolve. She was able to steel herself for battle and realize why she had felt so miserable before...
A soon as they entered the plant filled room, the group scattred. Gritting her teeth, the teal blood looked around and took stock of what was happening before launching an attack. The jadeblood was immensely strong, and she barely scratched him with her knives.
CRUNCH
One minute she had been retreating, the next she was flung away. Some bot had caught and bitten into her. Teal blood oozed from the wound. Running to safety, she slumped against a wall and inspected her arm feverently. It wasn't a deep wound.. plants? There were.. seeds. Mili's stomach flipped flopped. She'd been infected. Getting rid of this was going to be hard.

Etsali freed a lusus and did 8 damage!
Alright, one more try! Etsali darted in beside one of the bigger lusus, fingers curling around a vine and pulling hard. It still wasn't giving way, but there had to be something she could- Ah, there was something else coming this way! She dropped the vine, starting to prepare to flee, then paused, eyeing its obviously sharp claws. Oh boy, Keeper was gonna be mad about this.
"Here, lusus lusus lusus. Take a swipe at me, right here!" She waved her arms, grabbing its attention, and then dove out of the way when it charged. The beast's claws struck true to what she'd intended, though, slicing through vines instead of her. The large lusus let out a roar, shaking off its former bindings, and then turned to start a charge of its own- at Aendal!
