 Parker Loupohl ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦Parker sighed as he sat in his living room, staring at the crappy television that he'd dug out of storage to use until he managed to get his giant flatscreen back. He raised a beer to his lips, gulping back the rest of the bottle before setting the empty bottle onto the coffee table with six of its brothers. He'd been drinking non-stop since he came home from discussing alimony. She wanted twelve thousand a month, plus the vacation home and Charlie for more than half of the high holy days. What a ripoff! He tried to dispute it, but her lawyer wouldn't have it. The next day, Goldstein was supposed to come back with her reaction to his counter offer of the beach house and nine thousand a month, but until then, he was going to drink his sorrows away. " F-cking b-tch," he muttered as he opened another bottle and began to drink its contents, glaring at the random basketball game on the television screen. He reached into his blue jeans as he heard his phone buzzing, then tossed it onto the other side of the couch. He didn't need to talk to his father just yet. Parker reached up to open the first three buttons of his checkered shirt, suddenly feeling overheated. At least the alcohol was doing its job. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦

" B-tch wants twelve thousand a month and our vacation home, and the whole school year with Charlie, and she wants to keep our house so she can sell it and move to L.A." He laughed again, looking to Aysun. " Didja know that if she takes Charlie to California and if I can't follow her, which I can't, then she'll get him for the majority of the year because we won't be able to just trade off on the weekends or weekdays? So I have to convince her to stay here, in the house that I bought for us to raise our family in and grow old in, with her stupid boyfriend so I can keep my son for more than just a couple days in the school year and a month or two in the summer." He shook his head, then reached for one of the beers in the bag that Aysun had brought. " I'm losing everything, Aysun. My house, my flatscreen, my marriage, my boy, everything. What did I do to deserve this, huh?" He pointed at Aysun, hand swaying as dangerous as his vision was. " I was faithful, put food on the table, was attentive, I even went to couples' counseling and some stupid sex class so I could "perfect" my oral technique and make sex good for her. I was the perfect husband, Aysun, the perfect lover and the perfect provider. And what did that get me? A drunken Friday night in an empty apartment with you." He slumped, his beer half-empty and resting on his thigh. " What did I do to deserve this?" he muttered, eyes half-closed. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦

Sympathy showed on Aysun's face when he didn't have a vein pulsing at the side of his head from that unnecessary comment at the end. He thought back to his own biological parents. They fought a lot, he could remember that, but his entire family did so he never thought much of it. In fact, he had considered it normal until he saw how his uncles treated each other. Still, his parents never split up. Then again, he didn't spend much time with them having been sent away.
Aysun drank what he could from his beer. It was flavored and had little alcohol in it, so it wouldn't make him drunk. Not just one can, at least. He looked back at Parker, his sympathy returning. "Come now, you're a talented lawyer. There's got to be some plan in your head, right? You can trick her into giving in to your demands. Maybe remind her of those oral techniques of yours." he said with a wink.

Unless I can prove that she was cheating on me before she asked for the divorce, the pre-nup we both signed states that we have to work out what we split on our own. That includes our joint assets and our children. Besides, I just want this to be over. I'll give her the money, and I'll give her the vacation home, but she isn't taking Charlie away from me. That b-tch swore she'd spend the rest of her life with me, she can't take away my future and my son too!" He paused, then raised a hand to his head and inhaled shakily. He fought not to cry, but he couldn't help himself. He was drunk, lonely, and losing his whole world. " We were supposed to grow old together, have dozens of kids and live in that house until we died all wrinkly and gross. That was supposed to be my future, and she's taking away. If she takes away Charlie, I'll have nothing left." He whispered this, mostly to himself. This divorce was really starting to take its toll. Parker looked like like the late-twenties hottie that he was and more like a middle-aged, life-beaten man. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦

"Yes, because you're both full of sh-t!" yelled Aysun. "You haven't been around me to know about everything that goes on in my life. You've only seen me flirt, you've never seen me around the people I'm serious about. There were two, just so you know. Two guys I wanted to be with seriously, but one didn't want to and the other already was with someone else." he said with a slightly hurt tone. He was tempted to slap the drunk idiot (He wouldn't remember it in the morning anyway), but the grip on his wrist was too strong. "You're so obsessed with coming off as mature that you don't see how childish you end up acting! I mean look at yourself! You're in your mid-twenties and already you're having a mid-life crisis! And-and you view everything how you want to see it! You never think otherwise, me being a prime example!" Done with his rant, Aysun stood there, panting and glaring at the lawyer. Part of him felt this was a bad idea, but he was too frustrated with being ridiculed by his close friend. Besides, he was convinced Parker was too drunk to remember anything that happened tonight.

He forgot often that his younger companion had experienced a far different life from his own. Parker himself didn't have his first real relationship until he was Aysun's age, marrying at twenty-two and likely far too early. How could he have been so stupid, treating Aysun like this? It was a wonder that he even bothered to hang around him at all! " I'm sorry, Aysun. You're right." He admitted and apologized, feeling worse than he did before. Standing and still keeping hold of that wrist, Parker inhaled and exhaled through his nose slowly. He swayed a little, having stood up a little too fast, but he managed to keep his feet on the ground. He looked the purple-haired man in the eyes, searching for something he himself didn't know. In that instant, time froze. He felt an impulse, and, too drunk to stop himself or question the act, followed through. Tugging on the wrist he held, he pulled Aysun close and wrapped an arm around his waist, their lips mashing together as he initiated a passionate, wild kiss. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦

Aysun hesitated. He didn't expect to win the argument this soon. Drunk Parker was easier to deal with, apparently. But the violet-haired man was still angry, so in his search for something else to yell about he didn't notice Parker's swaying or the look on his face. Feeling the tug on his wrist, Aysun looked back at the lawyer only to be surprised with a kiss.
His eyes widened as he stood their motionlessly. He tried to make sense of this situation. Parker made it very clear all the time that he was straight, and it was obvious just earlier that he wasn't drunk enough to mistaken Aysun's gender. Did Parker have... hidden feelings? Moreover, what should the younger male do? Should he stop this? Aysun blinked and looked at the lawyer, who seemed to be focused on what he was doing. After a second, Aysun closed his eyes and pressed his free hand to the back of Parker's head, pulling him closer as he kissed back. Aysun had always wanted to do this, and it wasn't like Parker would remember it in the morning. Besides, he technically wasn't in a commitment anymore.
