Roy Hart
Age: 19
Likes: Music (violin specifically), gardening, cooking, boxing (school club), the bar his older brother works at
Dislikes: Football, dancing, keggers, girls (in a romantic sense/will still be friends with them), his parents
Bio: Roy always knew he wasn't normal, but it wasn't because he preferred Barbies over action figures or ballet over football. Not that he liked any of those things either, he just didn't have a word for what it was. Growing up, he watch his parents fight at home all the time, saying hurtful words to each other, only to tell others they still loved each other. They were dysfunctional and he knew it. And it hurt him to think his parents expected him to find a girl he liked that way to have kids with. Was it really love to be with someone you like, just for the sake of popping out a few kids? It had driven his brother from the household when he was younger over something his parents didn't explain to him until he was older. That something being his brother having a boyfriend. So between their homophobia and twisted views of what a happy marriage was, he never desired to have a girlfriend even though all his bros did. Instead, he played it off like none of the girls there were 'mature enough' for him and playing like he had a taste for older women. It got him out of not being attracted to any of the developing girls.
He planned to slide through high school like that, leave everything behind once he graduated, and maybe go stay with his brother for a while until he figured out what he wanted to do with his life. At least, that was the plan until he met Tyler. Whenever he was around the other, his heart would beat like crazy and he felt his gaze following the other around. His friends noticed and started teasing him, asking him if he liked the kid. He thought back to how badly his parents spoke of his brother and he panicked, saying instead that Tyler had pissed him off. As such, he was egged to get revenge. So at least once a day, he did something mean to the Wells kid, but he always hated it. So, when no one was looking, he slipped anonymous words of encouragement in the kid's locker. After all, it'd suck if Tyler committed suicide because of him. And maybe, someday, when he was a stronger person, apologize in person. But first, he had to survive high school and graduate. Because as it was, there was no way he could actually be with Tyler.
