The year is 2021...
7 years ago, the Government discovered a meteorite, and they took something from it. They made a machine, a machine that would end world hunger, cure all the illnesses in the whole world. As the world was gathered to watch the machine activated, the President pulled the switch. And all hell broke loose. The sky turned black, and the moon looked as if dipped in blood,the ground shook and the world screamed, so it seemed. but it was the people themselves that screamed. That night, forever more remembered as "The Night", Magic was forced into the world.

The human race changed as magic flooded the world. Unbelievable things were made, and much was destroyed as people, with new, magic powers, went mad, tearing apart the world.

After 3 years, the Government got control back. It had become a Dictatorship, unfortunately. After many Clans were formed, after the world had been separrated into small factions. They began collecting the people with powers, now acalled "the Changed", and sent them to labs to be tested upon. They couldn't capture them all, of course.

After years of torture and experiments, the subjects from a lab in Arizona broke out. They made friends, and learned about the world they had returned to. They decided to split up, to join the clans, or to create their own. To build relationships, friendships, or make enemies as they see fit. Or to join the military, the side of evil, to dominate this new world.

Then something else occured. They discovered something.

Atlantians.

Atlantians, who were once believed to be a myth, were discovered to be real. And they have enemies.



That is the story so far. Come. Join us, and choose your destiney. Your fate is in your own hands.


5 months have passed. Much has Changed.

Ningiri Clan
The weddings of Ezekiel, the Zerim, and Kira, the Shapeshifter, has spread far and wide within the clan and those clans friendly with the Ningiri, as well as the marriage of Vash Wildfang and Arina (insert last name here). Many people, Changed and non-Changed, have come to the NIngiri CLan.

Rae has been chosen as the Councelor of the Zerim, and Sydney has been chosen as the Great Druid of the clan. After much training by Uriel, the members of the Guardians have beent trained to top performance, and have begun selling out their services for a fee.

Kengetsu Clan
The Kengetsu Clan has been fully restored. The powers of Changed has been supressed here. No powers, of any sort, may be used on one another. It is a neutral territory, and has grown into a trade city.

Other Clans
The other clans, having been found, are now open to new members.

Songera Clan
The Songera Clan has grown in strength. Creatures of myth and legend, of fantasy and nightmare, have begun walking the world. And the Songera Clan hasn't been waisting time on recruiting.

The World At Large
As stated above, creatures from books, dreams, and nightmares, even movies, have become real. Some of them are good, and some evil. The lands have been taken by roaming monsters, good for any adventurer to practice his skills. But, there is something new. These monsters can use weapons of the future. Guns, bombs, cars, and other such "futuristic" items are now being used by the already ferocious monsters.


This Guild is one large Role Play. The Genre is Fantasy/Sci-Fi. This World inside this guild is ever changing, where anything, if given the correct time and effort, is possible. The World of Today meets The World of Magic. Come in, and Choose you Destiny. Your Fate is in your own hands.

As the world changes, and as the story goes on, Mutations will occur. Meaning that new races, new powers, will begin showing up. When this starts to occur, I will begin holding votes for the new races, which will be designed not only by me, but by you, as well. This Guild is meant to be a happy/gloomy and fun-filled place. Make a character. Become that character. Make your own attitude, your own fears, likes/dislikes, your hobbies. Become another person here. Breath life into your character.


RULES



1. No God-Modding
2. Romance is encouraged. This is a new world, after all. Just stick to the Gaia ToS.
3. No Auto-Hits. Everyone misses sometimes.
4. You will recieve 3 strikes before being banned from this RP. These are to be given for breaking the rules by me, or by a listed Mod, and can only be removed by me or listed Mod. I will have the Strikes written down elsewhere in case of tampering.
5. No Flaming. Don't go overboard, that's all. Insults are, after all, part of a world. Everyone insults someone, sometime.
6. You may swear, if that is your wish, but keep in mind other's opinions. If you want to get around this rule, make up swear words that don't sound like swear words. Ex Blood and Ashes!
7. I AM LAW. What I say, goes.
8. This idea is my own. I one day plan to write it as a book. Please. Do not copy anything you find here without my direct permission.
9. Ideas are welcome, at all times.
10. This guild is a Semi-Literate guild. Use correct Punctuation, please. I do not want sentences that don't make sense. Describe what you are doing. One liners sometimes are okay, but if you use one liners all the time, I will have a problem.
11. No killing another character without permission from the owner of that character.

The Night The World Changed Forever

.......I remember the night it changed....... The whole world...... Altered forever in the blink of an eye, in fire.......It was frightening.

Some guy, an Astronaumar of some kind, I guess, caught sight of a meteorite in the sky one night, through that enormous thing of a telescope..... It was large...... Amazingingly big..... About the size of the state of Arizona, if the stories were true. That was the beginning......

He, of course, called the government, telling them that.... a huge meteorite was heading for the earth. That, of course, caused quite an uproar...... NASA sent up a rocket, for some reason, to check it out. Personally, I think there was more to the story..... Boy. Was I right......

You see, NASA found something up there..... What, I can't even begin to guess. What I do know, however, as everyone now adays does, is what happened afterwords.....

....NASA brought back something..... something they wanted to keep hush-hush...... They should have known that that was impossible.... They managed to keep it covered for a surprising amount of time...... 4 years, in fact...... Then they released something..... a machine.....

...You see, this machine had the power in it to change the world..... the eliminate world hunger.... to eliminate all illnesses in the world..... we should've known that there was more too it......

.... As the world gathered to celebrate, the US government brought out the machine......... No guards were needed, of course......... Who would steal something that would benefit the whole world?......

.... The President himself turned on the machine, you know...... I was there when it happened...... 9 years old...... so innocent....... As the switch was thrown, all hell broke loose...........

...The sky turned black, and the moon looked as if dipped in blood..... the ground shook..... the world screamed, so it seemed....... but it was the people themselves that screamed....... the world seemed to become inverted...... men changed before my eyes..... became part animal..... part monster..... or wholy monster....... Fire erupted everywhere..... the ground heaved things into the air...... the wind screamed with the force of a hurricane....... and all manner of impossible things happened..... things out of dreams....... and things out of nightmare....

.... For...you see..... That night.....

....Magic entered the world......

....Everything after was a blur..... I remember things..... glimpses.... flashes of memory, I suppose.... men going wild...... beasts from fantasy.... myths....... dreams..... nightmares...... all roamed the earth....... The government tried to restore order...... but even they couldn't cope with what was happening....... no one could........

... Another 3 years passed before anything resembling order was formed.... the Government had restored order in the Chaotic Hell they had made of the world...... But what were they going to do with those remaining humans who had gained powers?......

The Government began rounding up those of us with powers.... taking us to labs to be..... tested...... like lab rats........ with no better living then dogs.... forced to train every day....... running hundreds of laps around the course...... lifting weights...... displaying our magic powers...... It was a life, i suppose....

Inside here.... I've heard rumors of something........ a people that have decided to rule this new world...... to take it by force.... kill all opposition.....

Some of the others are thinking of escape........ Their reasons are their own...... Me?.... what am I thinking of doing, you might ask...... Me..... I'm thinking of escape.....

.... But you know what?...... Out of everything..... after all the torture and training....... all I want to know is..... What caused all of this?....
