Years before recorded time, people in Johto worshipped two Pokemon: the silver Pokemon, Lugia, and the gold Pokemon, Ho-oh. Everything the early people did was built around pleasing these two mythical Pokemon that many people have only heard about in stories passed down from generation to generation, until eventually the greatest monuments were created for them called The Bell Tower and The Brass Tower. For centuries, people paid respects to these towers in hope that one day Lugia and Ho-Oh would actually come to visit. However, one horrible day, one man lost faith that either Pokemon would ever come so he burnt down the Brass Tower. People were horrified and named the man a traitor and shunned him from the town, but little did they know, he would utilize the power of Pokemon and turn it against the peaceful people and their town. The terrorizer created an army of manipulated Pokemon and began setting fire to the town, working his way up the hill to the Bell Tower, the last sacred tower, and the people’s last hope of ever seeing the mythical Pokemon. As the man approached the tower a glorious rainbow engulfed the sky and down from the heavens came the golden Pokemon, Ho-Oh. All of the town’s people rejoiced as the golden Pokemon put a stop to the evil Pokemon army. Ho-Oh then flew away, back to mysterious depths of which it came, and as it flew over the town, the fires were extinguished and the lives of those who perished in the attack were miraculously restored. Ever since that day, Ho-Oh was named the Pokemon of rebirth. As for the renegade that attacked the town, he fled after his unsuccessful attack and died in a cave a few days later.

Centuries later in modern day Johto, a new organization formed inspired by the idea that the sinister man who burnt the tower down created: manipulate the power of Pokemon for one’s own benefit. The leader of this organization, Giovanni, is said to be just as cunning and manipulative as the man who attack, what is now Ecruteak City, centuries ago. He’s managed to convince the thugs that make up Team Rocket that his mission to control Pokemon and take over Johto is necessary for long-lasting peace. Now, this high-criminal organization commits crimes on both small and large scales in their goal to take over. Recently, however, two new organizations have mysterious appeared in the region of Johto. Not much is known about these groups or what their motives are but they could possibly spell a threat for Team Rocket. It is obvious that all three organizations are up to no good. Luckily for Johto, no bad deed goes unpunished; a fourth group of Pokemon trainers is beginning to form to fight against these three evil organizations. This new group’s name: The Pokemon Trainers. The fate of Johto rests in their hands; soon a battle will be fought that determines whether Johto will overcome this evil and flourish once again, or if it will fall to the evil hands of the sinister organizations.
