This guild is about gift giving. While I prefer it to be anonymous, you can choose to give without anonymity, but we'll discuss that in the rules.
I have noticed a severe lack of lively gift giving threads since I re-joined gaia and I'd love to help.
I happen to love giving gifts, and I do so more than I receive.
I would really love to see the tradition of anonymous gift giving come back, and I need the help of everyone here.
My rules are relatively simple compared to other gift giving guilds/threads I have been in.
1. Respect.
-If somebody asks you to stop swearing, I don't expect you to listen to them unless you are in conversation with them.
-Don't argue, don't be stupid, don't be rude, and nobody will argue with you. Okay? I will let them argue, if I find you guilty of starting it. Either way, whomsoever starts an argument will get a nice letter from me explaining why this isn't okay smile
2. DO NOT WHINE!
I cannot stand people who sit there and complain about how many gifts they've given but haven't received any in return. This is why I mostly do anonymous gifting. I don't want people to feel bad for not gifting back, I want people to give out of the goodness of their hearts.
For you whiners-- I've given out 400k worth of gifts in a 3 day period and didn't receive anything in return.
3. Anonymity.
There is a real reason I do this. I don't want you to feel like you cannot repay me. If the gift is under 50k, you are allowed to reveal yourself, but anything above 50k and I'd prefer not to know who you were. I will do my best to gift everybody at least once, but only if they stick around. I expect you'll attempt to do the same. (Trades are OK though smile )
4. Value.
Try not to give anything that isn't on their wishlist unless you have one of the following excuses:
A) It would look totally cute with their avatar.
B) They can sell it to get some money if they so choose.
I almost never give anything that isn't on their wishlist. Sometimes I give gold instead, to compensate for their expensive wishlist.
5. Advertising.
-You can post a dream avatar, but don't spam it. We are willing to help if you're willing to be patient and not beg.
-Please do not promote other gift giving threads.
Art threads? Perfect. Booty grab threads? Even better. Just please do not take away from my thread/guild.
6. Have fun.
