Context:
Long before the Dark Days, Panem was divided into twelve Districts. Each District was specified in a certain domain. Poverty was a common issue due to the fact that wealth was divided inequally in Panem.
After the Dark Days, the Capitol created the Hunger Games, to punish the Districts for the Rebellion. Where two participants of each District, one man and one woman, between the ages of 12 and 18, would be chosen as a Tribute, and sent into an arena to fight to the death until one tribute was left standing. Should they take the risk of entering their name more than once for Tesserae (A years worth of rice and oil), for themselves and their families? The Tributes knew they would have to kill 23 other Tributes to become the Victor. It was a Genocide. Only one thing was certain: Twenty-Four Tributes would go in, and only one would survive to be the Victor.
