The Land of Gift
And setting their course towards it the Edain came at last over leagues of sea and saw afar the land that was prepared for them, Andor, the Land of Gift, shimmering in a golden haze. Then they went up out of the sea and found a country fair and fruitful, and they were glad. And they called that land Elenna, which is Starwards; but also Anadune, which is Westernesse, Numenore in the High Eldarin tongue.
In the final years of the First Age, the Half-elf Earendil won for the Free Peoples of Middle-earth the pity of the Valar. Thus, the Host of the Valar came at long last to Endor, and threw down finally the Dark Lord Morgoth Bauglir. He was chained, executed, and thrust into the Outer Dark, to remain there until the Marring of the World.
In those ancient days there was a building of ships along the coasts of the faltering land of Beleriand; ships of Men and Elves. The Elves were pardoned from their exile, so that they may return to paradise in the Uttermost West. To the Edain was granted a new gift; Andor, the island which they named Numenore.
The great Kings of Westernesse took up their halls at Armenelos, the city at the feet of the great Pillar of Heaven, where Eru was honored thrice a year. And in the far west lay the chief haven of Andunie, where the white ships of the Eldar would still sail, for though they now dwelt apart, the Edain and Eldar held a great friendship that did not swiftly erode.
Numenore: A far green country, one whose people believe in nobility and enlightenment. The havens of Andunie are open to all who still believe in the values of the Eldar; whether he be Man, Elf, or Dwarf; perhaps still in the halls of Armenelos and in the guildhouse of Eambar an intelligible discussion can occur.
That is until the Valar decide to be a bunch of contemptible asses and screw the island over. Akallabeth indeed...

The purpose of this guild is to create a safe haven for the LOTR fans that still entitle themselves "Faithful" to the cause of Tolkien. As a Community, we work hard to know our fellow fans and their tastes, to forge friendships, and to have fun, all in name of the great literary master that is John Ronald Reuel Tolkien.
Please join, fellow Tolkienite. We welcome you warmly,

Forgive me, Tolkien!
Warm greetings to all visitors and guild members,
Those new please make your introductions in Eambar. Otherwise you are welcome to explore or start a new topic in the main forum.
If you haven't already, I would recommend that you check out our LOTR subforum. Time has been kind to the forums. For those whom have fled the forums in fear of the previously deemed "hoards of rabid, screaming, novelty driven fans". It is quite safe to return. Mostly.
