Ashes, ashes...

No Vacancy. Two words one would normally see on a hotel/motel on their travels. Their meaning is clear. 'There is no room for you here. Turn back and find a new place.'

No Vacancy. You've seen it in horror movies, tv shows, maybe even in real life.

No Vacancy. But what do you so when you see it on a town's entrance?

No Vacancy. And what do you do when you decide to drive through the town?

No Vacancy. It meant that there was no room for you here.

No Vacancy. Why couldn't you find another route?

No Vacancy. Why does the town smell as though it is on fire?

No Vacancy. And why isn't it letting you leave?

No Vacancy. It meant there was no room.

No Vacancy. So why is there a house that has my name, welcoming me home?

No Vacancy. Where was I going?

No Vacancy....... I'm finally home.

A cold chill hits yours hands, forcing you to steer into the driveway of your new home. As you park, an eerie, almost childlike voice dances into your ears, faintly giggling the words Welcome home, _________. We've been waiting for you.'

Welcome to a town that isn't quite a town. It almost seems to beckon to people, making them forget where they were or which direction they were headed. Is the town alive? No one knows. But, despite it's flashing 'No Vacancy' sign, the population seems to be ever growing with new citizens each day.

"As Mayor of this fine, southern community, let me be the first to welcome you home. Ah? Where is home, you ask? Why you're here! The town of Bushkill Falls."

...We all fall down
