M E D I E V A L
Humans know not of vampires. There are rumors, sure, but they do not know that some of these rumors are true. There are a few humans, however, that do know that vampires exist. These humans wish to exterminate them. They are the first vampire hunters. These hunters do not know that there is another creature of night among them, the werewolves. The werewolves are the vampire's slaves in this time and are unable to roam freely across the land. The vampire/werewolf hybrids are also considered the vampire's slaves as the vampires still see them as dogs. Therefore, their existence to humans is hidden.
R E N A I S S A N C E
A few humans now know of the existence of vampires, though most of them are the vampire hunters. The werewolves have fled the vampires and are forming an uprising for war. The vampire hunters have noticed the werewolves and have branched out to hunt them as well. The vampires have turned to humans for maids since the werewolves are no longer available. The vampire/werewolf hybrids have also escaped mostly keeping to themselves, though a select few were let back into the coven if they swore they would kill werewolves.
M O D E R N
The werewolves are now seen as equal to the vampires in matters of freedom, though some still hold grudges. The vampire/werewolf hybrids are also seen as "equal" to the vampires, though they are still frowned upon by some of the older generation vampires. The hunters have recently discovered their existence and have been trying to find ways of improving their technique to eradicate them. The hunters have organized a separate division designed to hunt werewolves. They also have developed a serum that gives them immunity to becoming a vampire or werewolf. It also gives them accelerated healing, enhanced speed, strength, and senses. There are two serums. They call them the V gene and the W gene. The V gene is used for vampire hunters and has two side effects; sensitivity to the sun and the urge to drink blood from time to time. The W gene is used for werewolf hunters and has two side effects as well; abnormal hair growth and aggression.
