You wake up one fateful day, finding all is as the world should be, complete with its joyous and dreary ways. Life continues as it always has - off to work, to school, to whatever location demands attendance. But something is odd about today. In your travels, you find a card, left by its lonesome, abandoned by the original deck. You can't just leave it there - so you pick it up.

At first, you think nothing of it, besides its ornate flourishes, the captivating tarot graphic facing you with such exquisite artwork. It takes a while for its true purpose to hit you. And suddenly, the universe as you know it has irrevocably changed.

The world is drained like sand in a bottomless hourglass, sucking you away into the dark depths of eternity. And when you finally come to, Fate is waiting, appearing as the same figure that greeted you on tarot card. With a booming voice that shakes your soul from your bones, it informs you - the Game has begun.


Do not worry, it is not the end of the world; only reality as you know it.

The universe has finally given up, expanded as far as its murky black perimeters could reach before hitting the edge of all existence and snapping back like a broken rubber band back onto the hand that held it. With space collapsing back in on itself into the tucked little black ball it once was, all existence is slated for erasure. But Fate, though cruel, is not without design; a new universe will begin again, and someone needs to build it.

But who? The decision is difficult; you can't just pick any nilly willy human and put them in charge of all creation. So Fate, due to its very nature, has devised a game of chance in which to determine who will be the God of the next realm, and who will be crushed up into a giant ball of compacted matter, permanently destroyed for all eternity (and the next). Through aberrant, unidentifiable pattern, Fate has picked a fortunate from across the world and summoned them into its presence.

Fate's intention is simple; those summoned with participate in a game - no, the Game. Through Challenges that pit one against the other, players will knock heads in both battles of strength, wit, and resilience. Their aspects, weapons, and otherwise will be chosen through either Fate or Luck. And the tournament field can be anything from downtown Boston, to barren Siberia, or even one of Saturn's moons.

Each player will find themselves assigned to a Suit; while only a single player can win the Game, Suits can win a Challenge as a whole, benefitting every member. Suits also serve a second purpose than as a team base, but a ranking system. The higher a player is ranked in a suit, the more access they will have to powers, as well as a chance to chose how Challenge prizes are distributed. After a player has been assigned their tarot and Suit card, they will be subjected to the rigorous Challenges with the intention of winning the Game. If they win, they will survive the End of the Universe and become the creator of the next reality. If they lose, they will return to reality, and face the doom of when the Game ends and the Universe is destroyed.

Though the players are random, the cards picked without their will, contrary to popular opinion, the game will not decided by Fate itself. The Game is not in the House's favor, but Destiny's. And Destiny is in the hands of you, the player.


You have been chosen as one of the random players for Fate's final Game. All your hopes, dreams, and memories are still in tact - if anything, every moment of the past, every feelings of the present, and every thought of the future are more crisp than ever. Though you may resent your predicament, the prize is not something to scoff at; a chance to recreate the universe as you see fit. Will it be a place free from hunger, filled with all the love it lacked before? Or, for the more antagonistic, a realm wrecked by war, filled with the bloodthirsty lust for violence? There have been many practical universes before you, as well as the most outwordly of fantasy flights. But, I assure you, in each instance, the winner gets everything he or she desires. Even if it means bringing back the people lost in your previous life.

While your memory and sense of identity has not been lost, your physical self seems to have been altered, and you can't quite remember exactly what it even looked like. Your current appearance has been determined by Fate's will; for this game, you represent your inner self, and take on appearance and powers most fitting for who you truly are. Every character, once their profile is submitted and reviewed by Fate, will receive a Tarot Card most corresponding to their character's history and personality. From there, a character will be given visual characteristic and powers that come with that Tarot Card.

At any point of time, absolutely unpredictable by any mortal standards, Fate will summon you for a Challenge. Whether or not you chose to participate is your choice, but you cannot refuse a summon.
