Its sad because i started a couple yrs back and the game was PACKEDD,
i could team up with people and progress through the game.
Now there's literally nobody around... i have to complete aqueduct and there is nobody there.
Where has everyone gone ? crying crying

Aged Noob

It wasn't this bad just a couple weeks ago. Maybe the tide will come in again soon.

OA's my favorite area. I'll log on now and give a whisper.

Anchor Bug seems to be the best for non-DMS stuff.

Right?
It used to be uber packed on all of the servers. Especially when DMS came out.
But now... its dead man. Gaia itself is becoming dead.

Personally i think its cause of there stupid Inflation with all the items.
I thought that when you play a day of Zomg it would be worthwhile because you could make some decent gold and play with loads of people.
But its lost a lot purpose now :/

Exactly why. Many people have become disinterested in Gaia, and now everyone is leaving due to the damn inflation. Its ridiculous.

I was just thinking about making something like Project Goldsink!

I'm in. Let's do this.

We destroy gold by pumping absurd amounts of it into a guild account.

What if they extract that from the guild Loool xD

I guess that's possible, but it looks like everyone would see that, and the guild leader/captains/whatever would lose credibility. I imagine. Anyway the guild page says that it can't be withdrawn. I joined five minutes ago, so I don't have the details.

Anyway, it beats buying your own auctions from a mule account to destroy 2% at a time... unless you have tens of billions of gold to melt down...

Yeah, I miss the old days of zOMG!
One could only dream that Gaia would pick this game back up again.

This could theoretically be a user-run thing, but you could never generate enough user participation to do anything meaningful. It's entirely dependent on community voluntarily sacrificing their gold - but the gold inflation was also done with the release of gold generators that people willingly purchased. Until GGs are removed, the economy won't return to any semblance of normalcy.

This wasn't an accident on Gaia's part. The staff is well aware of what was going to happen when they released the GG's.

As the awareness of GGs' effects spreads, I think GG purchase will decrease while participation in projects like Goldsink increases. And some players have hope in the Gaia Walkout, which I'm still on the fence about. But I really don't care now -- I'm attached to the idea. Flushing gold away makes me laugh, and I'd probably continue even if the project was abandoned.

Project Goldsink's account is up to 750m!
