No... Because we aren't using weapons.

We're using rings.

The "weapons" equipped to our avatars definitely will not swing because our avatars remain unaffected, like when you're in Towns.

umm but that doesn't mean that the rings themselfs wont have an effect on your avatar to make it appear as if you are swinging wink

Actually, I think that there will be some sort of swinging because in the beginning of your journey, they said that you can obtain the rings from monsters as loot, right? So, won't we have to kill something in order to get the rings? >.>
