Task: Behind Enemy Lines (solved, thx)

One of the tasks of the Village Greens, obviously
I assume the mushroom that's spoken of is the larger one to the right of the white gate at the bottom of the map.
Well... after many attempts i FINALLY defeated all of the enemies in that square where that mushroom is.
Only really hard because i dont play in teams... idk i'm stubborn that way
Anyway
Nothing happened.
it says in the task description about something involving the generals coming out and having to deal with them afterward, but no one came except for more baddies after a minute or two.

What am i doing wrong? what should i be doing?
