orbs are fairly common drops, null's are gaia cash and quest rewards, i'd say 5 for an orb, it seems fair enough.

Nah, it doesn't work that well since they're less common than the orbs are.

Also, if null fragments could make orbs, users could basically just buy levels out of the cash shop.
