Vocabulary and Grammar

Try taking a Latin or Greek class. I took Latin in highschool and last year in college a course called "English from Greek and Latin" and, obviously, both increased my vocabulary.

Read a lot. smile After quite a bit of reading you'll recognize how certain things are supposed to be used, and what kind of sentences/grammar/etc. adds to or takes away from the writing. There's no real tips I can offer for this. All I can say is that it works. smile

Can anyone share with me tips on increasing one's vocabulary and grammar skills? Exercises, studying tips, anything.

First of all, if you have Microsoft Word, take your story or some example of your writing and have it grammar/spell checked, and it will show you what's wrong.

Study some internet sites, and read books.
