Here's some helpful hints:
1) Go to every forum and vote on polls. Voting gives you 10 extra gold.
2) click the www.gaiaonline.com link on the top of the page over and over until the gaiastore banner appears. Click all the links every 12 hours for 50 extra gold.
3) Don't go fishing right away. If you get bored, than do so. But there is no way for beginners to make gold off of fishing.
