It's pretty fantastic being an old timer and coming back because I have items worth 100's of billions. But, there's a bunch of cool new features. Towns is updated with Towns 2. (I still prefer towns original because those bugs and flowers are worth a good bit to the right buyers.)

As you may be able to tell. posting your first post is still just 125 gold (which was our highest way back when and we use to get so excited over it)

Now your post following that first post is at least 40,000 gold you can recieve.
Daily chances can get you up to at least 500,000 gold,
Shops have over done prices on them now. what use to be 5-100 gold (as in the first post after you said) is worth 1,000 gold or more stressed
Granted it is easier now to buy something in the shops.
There are I believe 4 or 5 gaia cash shops.
There is also one shop you cannot enter unless you show devotion to gaia of I believe 45 days. Then you are allowed in.
Threads are pretty much the same however voting gets you more gold and many people now are able to afford to give out 500,000,000 in games to 1,000,000,000 just for winning eek burning_eyes
The Market has gone up to ridiculous price ranges.
There are new games and they are giving prizes out for different levels you reach.
There is a thing called GoFusion and you need to collect charms from the daily machine to be able to receive any of the items listed under it.
They no longer have tektek going wither.

There is a lot more but for now that is what I can think of.
