Yes, it may not even be Thanksgiving yet, but we're planning for Christmas already!

Welcome to the planning thread for the Candy Cane Ball, a Christmas Ball for all of Gaia, hosted by [Meky] and xReNeGaDe_AnGeLx (from here on out known as Meky and Rae).

We've decided that we want to host a Christmas Ball, and we've got tons of ideas. But any event of this size requires lots of planning, so we're getting started now. Read on to see what we've got planned, and what you can do to help!

This event will be held in a guild made especially for it, so just like with the events in gambinos mansion you can make your own threads and so on and so forth.

On the weekend before christmas, so not to interefere with anything gaia may have planned plus I'm pretty sure people have family events to tend to on Christmas day too. The event will start, at roughly 8.00am PST, You will all recieve guild invites during the early hours of that morning,So if you're in a different timezone, you wont have to wait too long, but note that events wont start untill 8am PST. The Ball will last untill 12am PST December 20th, but the guild will remain open to be used as an ordinary Guild ^_^

To make things more fun, we'll be holding a few avatar contests.

General Christmas Avatars - These avatars fit into the general christmas theme, such as elf, santa, reindeer, ballerina, nutcracker.

Red & Green Avatars - These avatars must make good use of both red and green and few, if any, other colors.

Red Avatars - These avatars must be mostly red

Green Avatars - These avatars must be mostly green

There is a 500 gold entry fee for each contest. You can enter multiple contests if you wish. There will be 15 contestants for each contest. There will be judges to narrow down from first 15 to 10 finalists. The winner from the 10 finalists will be chosen by poll.

Each contest will have a first and a second prize winner. First prize is 3500 gold and second prize is 2000 gold. The remaining 2000 raised from each contest will go to buy presents and be used in the giveaways we are hoping to have.

If you would like to be a judge, please PM this account. We'll pick at least 12 judges, and no more than 20. Judges will be listed here as we choose them.

Because what good is a thread without a bump contest?

And because of the nature of this event, there's more than one thread that you can bump and have it all count towards this contest!

Just a few short rules for this contest:
1. You must have at least 10 bumps in each thread to be eligible.
2. Don't spam. Bumping in the middle of a conversation is spam. Bumping often is a slow forum is spam. Bumping by posting a rediculous amount of crap in one post is spam. Using an image larger than sig limits allow (500x500px, 100kb) to bump is spam.
3. You don't have to number your bumps, but it does help
4. Any ball mods and their mules are ineligible for this contest.

The prize for the best bumper will be a December '04 letter. It will be awarded on December 18th (so it will still be a sealed letter at the time).
