Manson himself may (depending on your point of view) be a goth but his music isn't gothic, although Antichrist Superstar did have some elements of that type to it.

all the annoying over serious people on the metal board all like 'he's alternative rock with industrial influences, not metal at all', what about kittie, i like them, they 'gothic'?

Usually Goth music has most of its roots in techno and classical. Like VNV Nation and Voltaire. Marilyn Manson is industrial or "shock rock", I believe. It doesn't mean a band/artist sucks if they are not the genre you thought them to be. :3
